Family Reunion

Our 1st annual Family Reunion and we wanted to make sure we had a large enough space to accommodate all the families along with plenty to do for all ages from 5 month old to 79 year old. This Ranch was absolutely fabulous and allowed everyone the opportunity to enjoy themselves with so much to do! We will definitely be back next Year!!

We had a great time at The Ehrman Ranch. Lots of room to roam. Great fishing. The Grandkids had a great time. The kitchen had everything we needed for home cooking. Everything was clean. The quiet was AMAZING!!!!!

Amazing property and owner

The owner is very responsive! We had a couple of issues and they were handled immediately. I would HIGHLY recommended renting this property to anyone. The pictures don't do the beauty of the property justice. Wonderful weekend and many wonderful memories made.

Martinez family vacation

It was a beautiful home and it had so many things to do for all ages. It was a real treat for us all. Our 4 adult children, spouses and grandchildren. We took a vote and this will be our family vacation spot from now on. It was a blessing to us all. Thank you so much Jamie for sharing it. Family Reunion

Great place for a Family Reunion. Very clean. Large gathering place with a great view. Expected to find gas grill available but was told we need to let them know. Our arrival night meal was delayed. Perhaps we misread the property description. Great outdoor space for activities and great covered and indoor space if weather is bad.

My first 5 star rating ever

We rented this ranch for our ministries Annual Board Retreat. We have 24 people on our Board and we have stayed at many location over the years. However, the ranch was hands down the best spot we have ever stayed at. There was such a peace about the property. The livestock is amazing, the house and the guest house are both clean and well kept but the lake and the view of the lake was incredible. We went in the February so we could swim or enjoy being in the water but just sitting on the porch relaxing and taking it all in was so refreshing. Many of our Board member talked about bringing groups to the location for other events or even renting it for larger family gatherings. Beds were comfortable and clean. Kitchen well stocked with all the cooking needs and utensils we needed to cook for 24 people. Seating in family room was spacious and comfortable. I rarely give 5 star ratings because I think many people don't give thoughtful or accurate ratings for other people looking to rent but I can't think of a single thing that wasn't outstanding. So this is the first time I have ever given a rental an across the board 5 star rating. We'll be back.

Lovely property! We stayed as a large family (ages 5-75 yo) at this property. It rained on and off the entire weekend, but we still had a great time. The fire pit was wonderful surrounded by huge live oaks. The kids went fishing off the pier and were catching so many fish it was almost too easy! Walking around the property was nice and we did this several times— 200 acres means everyone can spread out. We didn’t get to play with the volleyball/badminton net because the field was way too wet. We would definitely stay again. If you have small children in your group, a few words of caution. The house is very close the pond/lake. You will need to watch your children when they play outside. Also, towards the back of the property (maybe 200 yards from house) there is a small river. The river was swift moving when we were there (likely related to all the rain that had happened before our stay). We made a rule that the kids weren’t allowed to go over the bridge of the lake (in the direction of the river) without an adult. Overall, we had a wonderful time, but vigilance and close proximity of an adult was needed in watching the children play outside. This would probably be less of an issue with older kids, but our group had little ones (5,5,8,9,10,10 yrs). Lastly, the kitchen is pretty small for a large group, but not a dealbreaker in my opinion. The living room/dining room is huge! And the dining table is so big that we easily sat 14 at one table!!

Wedding weekend

This was a great place for my large family group! Plenty of room, the kids loved the water out back and we enjoyed the fire pit. We'd definitely be back to stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful ranch and home! Tried to contact the Vrbo host a few times over the course of 4 months, and was a bit frustrated with the lack of response. Once the check in week was here, I was sent the ranch owner/managers contact and he was very attentive to our request and questions. Thank you again for a very enjoyable and memory filled weekend.

All we could have asked for, and more!

I was hesitant that the pics might be outdated or inaccurate but they were spot on. We had enough room for everyone to spread out and do their own thing and the living room was so big we could all gather to play games. Dining table was big enough for all of us and the food to go on the table. The kitchen has high end appliances and a (crushed) ice maker. There were pots, pans, bowls, knives, utensils to make or bake anything. Fully stocked and many extras like seasonings, trash bags, laundry supplies, etc. we had a few minor hiccups, but they were fixed immediately. We rented kayaks from the owner and put them on the beautiful lake which is full of fish. We caught perch, bass and catfish. We will definitely book here again.

Family Vacation 2022

10 Adults 8 kiddos, best time ever!!! we paddle boarded, floated, swam, jumped, fished, played lots of yard games we brought and it was amazing!!! lake is beautiful and the bridge is intimidating but fun to jump from. kids have more courage than the adults!!! we did not want to leave!!! great booking!!! The whole family will definitely miss this place!!

Wonderful location for my father's memorial gathering...

This is a beautiful, rural country lake house, with a huge main room encased by floor to ceiling windows, with views in every direction. My family gathered for the 1 year anniversary of my dad's passing - and the ranch provided a serene and private environment, where we could commune with dad's spirit under the stars. Despite being over 100 degrees, the aircon worked amazingly well, and kept all 24+ of us more than comfortably cool. The see-through double fridge was perfect to stock drinks and food for us all (and was the envy of everyone!). Can't say Evolve helped much, but once we were were able to contact the owner, Jamie, he was beyond a wonderful host - even taking my brother/sister on a private tour of the entire property ahead of time, to verify the amenities were perfect for this special occasion. There's a huge, long dining room table you can't quite see in the pictures... it seats 14-18 people easily, and allowed us to dine all together. But it is the outdoor area that makes this such a special location - breathtaking views over the lake, with huge oak (?) trees, (that light up at night if you like), two large firepits, + 2 ostriches that greet you as you arrive at the end of the 500 ft driveway, with a huge parking area able to accomodated our 10-15 cars easily. Jamie responded immediately (within 20 minutes) when we needed help to unclog a bathroom (the main house/side house are on a septic system, so you need to follow the instructions) - but we had zero other isues over our 4 days there. It was such an important occasion - we really couldn't have asked for a better host, or a more beautiful setting to remember my dad... under the stars.

Best House Yet!

We get together for a family reunion every year. Our parents, four of us siblings, plus spouses and kids. That's a big group. But, this house was almost perfect. The living and dining area setup are fantastic. So spacious that everyone can be comfortable. We even had three people working intermittently, and still there was enough room to hang out. While the kitchen workspace is a bit small, the spacious fridge and adequate ice machine make up for any other shortcomings you might per rive in that space. Seriously.. a fridge that accommodates all the food AND has glass doors for people to see everything without having to open it twenty times? A million bucks right there! Two bunk bed rooms allowed for a FAIR split between all the cousins. We so appreciated that! And then there is the outdoor area. Well, even there....there is space for everyone. The lake was fantastic entertainment in the summer heat and the bridge with the space to jump off of ..well, it provided non-stop entertainment for three generations. This house is a true gem for multiple families coming to spend time together.

Fantastic Getaway for Large Faimily

Plenty of beds and rooms for a large family gathering. Huge great room with double dining table. Glass windows to the ceiling an huge fireplace. Our grandson caught a huge catfish. The lake is large enough for the kids to go kayaking. All new kitchen appliances and new large Maytag washer and dryer.

Wedding weekend

We came for a Houston wedding but wanted to stay all together. Beautiful home with lots to do in our down time. We enjoyed swimming, fishing and seeing the animals on the ranch! Plenty of spices for our in house cooking, we were pleased to see that! We had an amazing time! Everyone loved it. Being all together was worth the extra drive to and from Houston.

Great family reunion location

The property offered so much for our entire group - volleyball, basketball, kayaking, swimming, etc. Lots of space, a great set up for large family meals and the property is truly relaxing. Oh and the house is beautiful!
