Never again

The only good thing about the property was the location. The beach is walking distance and the beach itself is amazing. The cleaningness of the property was very bad. The whole place needs uplifting. Starting from the kitchen. All the cutlery and utensils were dirty. We bought our own aluminium roasting pans as we were not able to clean their pans they were dirty, burnt and not healthy to cook in them at all. We have reported this to the property manager and the cleaner that she has sent gave us only 3 small aluminium rosting pans which was not enough for 3 families for 3 nights. The dust was never cleaned , the fans themselves have 3cm dust on them, and the side bed lamps as well. The outdoor area is very big beautiful under the trees and when you think you will enjoy the time there you will find the cushions and the lounges are so dirty that you don't want to sit there at all. Noone liked it, we won't be booking this property ever again.

Great stay

Great little house. One bathroom for everyone isn't enough however. But otherwise we loved the location and the house itself, good amenities, kitchen and sitting options. Late check-out is a joke though, they wanted me to pay an extra night to check out for midday instead of 10am.

Perfect large family holiday house

My extended family of 12 rented this property. It was the perfect location with only a 2 minute walk to the beach. The house was equipped with all the required kitchen items and had a large dining table to seat the group. The only thing to note is that there is only one main bathroom and an en-suite. We would stay here again.

Great location

Booking was simple and all questions were answered promptly. Location is lovely within the estate and access to the beach was closer than expected with all the walkways and the kids loved the pool facilities. House layout was great and fit 12 people comfortably having multiple places to lounge was great! The only thing I’d recommend is perhaps reassessing the bed/mattresses for the queen rooms some finding them a bit too soft however this may suit others.

Calming Waters - great name for a great stay

Calming Waters location in a quiet bushy estate with access to the community pool and short walk to the beach was a perfect location for a for a family get together for all ages. Plenty of space in the well appointed home and Callala Beach is an beautiful location. The ferry ride to Huskisson is a great day out for all ages

Beautiful spacious home close to beach

Stayed here with 4 adult couples and 4 kids. We loved the light-filled space and plentiful living areas. The kitchen was well equipped. The house was really clean however there were yellow stains on our towels. The house guide mentioned that there would be access to the garage and a kayak inside which we were looking forward to, but upon arriving and calling the designated contact, this was changed without notice at the request of the owners. Short stroll to a beautiful beach. Access to an indoor community pool however be warned it is not heated! The location is good if you like peace and quiet, but is 30min from the larger supermarkets and bustling cafes and restaurants of Huskisson. Would consider staying here again as we really did love the property.

Not bad but wouldn't stay here again

The layout is not ideal for a 5 bedroom house only bookable for those with kids. There's only 1 bathroom and 1 ensuite for somewhere that sleeps 10+ people. The walls are also paper thin so expect to hear every conversation and kids first thing in the morning. Signs everywhere about keeping the noise down after 10pm felt a bit over the top. House-keeping here was poor. When we arrived the bins were already overflowing, loads of dirty glasses in the cupboard, pots and pans which had been used and just put back into the kitchen drawers and bbq was dirty. Not all negative though. The house overall was big and roomy and we had a good time. It's really close to the beach which is a plus.

Lovely 4 days away

Calming Waters is a stunning property. The pictures online do not do it justice. Very short walk to the beach and short drive to takeaway and groceries. We are a family of 5 staying, but the property could quite easily fit two families very comfortably. We loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer!

Very warm and welcoming property !!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Calming waters and would love to come back again. The property is well furnished and very well located. We happened to have a minor hiccup during our stay, but thanks to Sophie, she took made sure that the stay remains joyous !! Highly recommended.

Great common space to spend time with friends!

I stayed here with a group of friends for the weekend - weather was terrible so we spent a lot of time in the house - it has great shared space to cook, eat, drink and hang out with family/friends - nice outdoor patio space as well. We work in a people business and very infrequently things go wrong - if this happens we will do our best to rectify the situation immediately. In busy periods it may take us a few hours to get to messages so picking up the phone is the fastest and best way for us to provide you with the support you need in an urgent situation.
