Outstanding accommodations! Great views, wonderful location, super clean and awesome communication with property owner. Close to downtown and walkable to local bars/restaurants. Would definitely stay here again and will be recommending this home to my traveling friends.

The host was in good communication. The house was beautiful & clean. The kitchen was equipped well. It was a wonderful place to stay. I enjoyed the soaking tub & warm bathroom floor! The house was very well decorated and clean and in a wonderful location to all downtown Marquette establishments. The view of Lake Superior and the Ore Dock were lovely. We had the chance to meet the owner of the house and she was delightful. We will definitely stay here again!

The original paintings, the beautiful view of Lake Superior, the original quilts hanging in the bedrooms and the Scandinavian style were all very impressive. Susan convinced us that the Blizzard conditions would only last for a day and we had a great time. She was right. We skied in Presque Isle park which was awesome and the hills of the Fit Strip in Marquette were enjoyed by beginners. We would love to come back.

My family and I spent three days and nights in the Marquette area, this place was perfect for the 4 of us. Wonderful home with everything you need and beautifully maintained. The location is wonderful and we had just an amazing time here.

Was a great trip. Good location and the place was ideal for two couples that are willing to share the one large bathroom. The home was stocked with all the essentials, including good coffee, beach towels, etc., which made our stay very convenient. Susan was very responsive before and during the stay.

An absolutely wonderful house! House decor and design elements are beautiful while still creating an extremely welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Location is excellent as well, walking distance from shops and restaurants and you can watch the sun come up over Lake Superior from the front porch. Will absolutely be keeping this house on the list for a return visit in the future!!

Wonderful house

Our stay exceeded every expectation we had. The property was 110% as bright and sunny and cozy as the pictures suggested; even on a snowy February weekend. The property was incredibly clean and well appointed. Loved our time at Blue Harbor View!

UP Family Getaway

Susan's property was a wonderful homebase for our first trip to the UP. We enjoyed the beautiful decor and layout of the home. It is very close in proximity for many activities for all ages such as coffee shops, restaurants, the ore dock, and childrens museum. We wouldnt hesitate to stay here again!

Hi there! My name is Susan and I’m a fourth generation Yooper. My great-grandparents emigrated from Finland to the Keweenaw Peninsula in the 1890s. I’ve lived in many other places but the UP has always been home. I finally returned in 2018. My background in tourism and event planning led to my becoming a full-time vacation rental host with a desire to provide a 'home-base' to my guests since 2019. I love sharing my historic home with visitors to Marquette and the Upper Peninsula as a place for you to create your own UP memories. As a traveler, I have visited the exotic sea level Marshall Islands in the Pacific to Mt. Everest Base Camp One at 17,000 feet in Tibet. And, many many places in between. Hope to see you in the UP!

Our historic bungalow in South Marquette has been well-cared-for throughout the decades. It is a cozy two-bedroom with lots of light and natural charm. Outside spaces include two covered porches and an open-air backyard patio with a fire pit. The sunrise and lake and harbor views are spectacular year-round. We love the walkable city location with easy access to bike trails, breweries, restaurants, downtown shopping, and Marquette's many festivals and events.
