Un chalet de deux étages de 4 chambres et 2 salles de bain à quelques pâtés de maisons de la plage, au centre-ville de St. Joseph, et bien d'autres St. Joseph attractions et points d'intérêt. Parfait pour une ou deux familles. 8 couchages plus, avec kitchenette à l'étage et cuisine complète en bas. Parking pour 2 voitures et une promenade facile à Silver Beach, fontaine, restaurants et de nombreuses autres attractions locales. Internet WiFi gratuit, Central AC. We have stayed in this cottage each summer for many years. Location is ideal for walking distance to downtown and other things. Family suggests a few updates at the cottage. Such as newer sofas , electrical outlets a few need repaired. We would highly recommend this cottage.

Close to St. Joe

We loved how close it was to downtown St. Joseph and how we could walk there from the property. There was plenty of space in the rental which was also nice.

The house was charming & perfect for our extended family. Location was ideal - we could walk everywhere. We cooked most of our meals-the kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. It was a great vacation!

We have stayed at this property almost every year since 2016! We absolutely love the home and it is close to shops and downtown and the beach. Chris is always a joy to talk to and she is thoughtful and responsive. We love our trips here and recommend the property to anyone looking to explore the third coast ♥️

perfect location and very cute, quaint little cottage!

The perfect cottage for a week's stay in the cutest beach town! The ONLY thing i might critique is maybe updating some of the furniture as it has clearly had some use over the years (very obvious to see why as this is a perfect rental for the area). I'm still giving it 5 stars as it is worthy of it!

Perfection!

Perfect place for our family vacation...we loved our stay at the cottage! All the amenities we needed were included, the house had everything and we could walk everywhere. Chris and Dave were so kind, attentive and truly the best hosts. The perfect house to stay at St. Joe’s - we can’t wait to go back!

Had an amazing stay. Beautiful quaint home with a fantastic location to everything.

Beautiful quaint home, walking distance to everything. Thank you to our host. House fully equipped with everything and then some. Beach, splash pad, restaurants, ice cream and Carousel kept us busy all week. Gorgeous weather, had a fabulous week. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Restful vacation

The property is close to all shops and the beach. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook and everything was very clean. Check in and out is very easy and the owner answers quickly and is a great host St. Joe had extremely hot and humid weather during our stay and I was greatful that the ac worked great The house is a nice home-away from home Hoping to stay in the future.

I mistakenly gave you three stars for "Communication." I reviewed your stay before I had heard the full story. I'm sorry about this as Vrbo will not let us change a rating so I hope this explanation that I was hasty and should have given you all 5 stars if I had waited until I was in full possession of all the facts will serve to explain to anyone that you were not at fault. Thank you for being understanding of this mistake and my attempt to rectify it.

Hôte : Chris or David Vandenburgh

Dave and Chris met nearby, raised their two boys all over the US, and retired to St. Joseph in 2017. They bought this house in 2004 with the plan to retire to it and rented it as a vacation home for families to come to in the meantime. It’s been so much fun having families come that they retired into a much smaller house so they could keep this one as a vacation rental. (Since they are avid sailors, they aren’t home much during the summer anyway.) This neighborhood is a wonderful old historic neighborhood; it works great for summer vacations because it is between the town and the beach, and because it’s laid out nicely for family fun.

Vacation rentals on the beach are very expensive, and the hike up the bluff to town can be tough. This cottage is ideally situated between the town and the beach so you have the best of both worlds. The City of St. Joseph hasn’t allowed any new short-term vacation rentals in many years out of desire to preserve the historic charm of the city neighborhoods, so we feel privileged to be able to offer our home for rental and we do our best to rent to those who want the same things. The house is furnished with our own much-loved family things.
