Charming house right on the Hood Canal with your own shell and rock-filled beach. Has all the comforts you need. Small local grocery store just up the road with all the basics. Great launch point for adventures. We enjoyed:
- Rialto Beach (2 1/2 hour drive) with a stop at Lake Crescent in Olympic National Park along the way
- Kayaking with Hood Canal Adventures (45 minutes away)
- Bremerton ferry (45 minutes away) to Seattle
- Lake Lena hike (30 minutes away)
- Rocky Brook Falls (30 minutes away)
- Hama Hama (10-15 minutes away) for great fresh ousters and clams
Lots of outdoor space to relax and eat, including a great firepit. Ages 10, 20, and mid-late 40s in our group and we all loved it! Although we didnât use them, always a bonus to have a grill and crockpot available!
We were so happy with our stay at this house. Julia was very hospitable and had great communication before and during our trip. Once we got there, everything was very clean and comfortable. The view from the house was amazing! The beach was great for our kids to play on and they loved wading/swimming in the water. We hiked at the nearby Staircase Rapids Loop Trail and loved the scenery at Lake Cushman. The food and ice cream in Hoodsport were fantastic, and we loved all the food truck options in Shelton. We also visited the Skyline Drive-in theater. This place really is a gem, with fun and relaxation to be had at the house and adventures to be had nearby.
Such a great experience! The property is so unique and well decorated, right on the beach. The kitchen is up to date and has everything you need to cook. Check in was seamless and Julia is super responsive.
Public beaches for fishing/clamming and the Hama Hama oyster farm just a short drive away as well!
Absolutely no complaints whatsoever.
