Great property for a weekend getaway

Fenced yard was perfect for dogs, kitchen had everything we needed, fireplace was nice for cool evenings, and master bed was comfy. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Big Bear!

This place was perfect for us. Everything was in close proximity and it had a back yard my girls could play in the snow. We would love to stay here again.

If you’re looking for a truly rustic Big Bear experience, this cabin absolutely delivers — mostly because modern conveniences seem to have been intentionally removed from the equation.Let’s start with the couch. The springs are literally coming out of it, so sitting down is less “relaxing by the fireplace” and more “let’s see what happens.” We eventually decided that standing was the safer seating option.There is no dishwasher, which means your relaxing mountain getaway includes a complimentary dishwashing shift after every meal. There is also no electric kettle. Want a cup of tea? Excellent. First, locate one of the little saucepans and boil your water on the stove. Nothing says “vacation” quite like recreating life before small kitchen appliances.The washing machine is located in the bedroom, because apparently the soothing sounds of the spin cycle are part of the sleeping experience.Then we have the master bathroom. The shower seems to have been designed for approximately half of a normal-sized adult. Turning around requires planning, flexibility, and possibly some previous Cirque du Soleil experience.There is also no mirror above the bathroom sink. Brushing your teeth becomes surprisingly exciting when you have absolutely no idea what you look like. Toothpaste on your face? Hair standing straight up? Who knows? Ignorance is bliss.The gray bedding is so thin and delicate that “spiderweb” feels less like a comparison and more like a thread-count specification.

Nice place.

Great location to Big Bear. Clean, more than enough blankets, good tvs, it is a lower cost place that is perfect for our stay. It is rustic, don't expect too much and you will be very happy here.
