Maple Cabin by Destination Big Bear : Walking Distance to Snow Summit! Propane BBQ!

Maple cabin is a rustic style cabin located near the Snow Summit Ski Resort and a short drive to local shopping and the Village.

Inside you will find all the basic amenities for a relaxing stay in Big Bear. The family room has a wood burning fireplace and large Flatscreen TV.

The dining area has ample seating for your group, step out onto the deck and grill on the propane barbecue.  The kitchen has newer appliances including a fridge/freezer, gas range/oven, microwave and dishwasher. A standard coffee maker is provided.

Down the hall you will find a full bath in the hallway and the first bedroom offering a Queen bed and also has the laundry area with a full size washer and dryer available for your use.

Head upstairs where you will find the other two bedrooms in the home, both are set up with three twin beds, there is a powder bath in the hall and uniquely there are sinks in each bedroom, which makes washing up before bed a breeze.

With sensible furnishings that will meet most of your needs during your stay, this property is the perfect fit for a getaway that won't break the bank. This property is owned by the Salvation Army and part of the proceeds It’ll go towards the great work they do with our community.

Not what we expected

The place was small which was fine. However, the carpet was filthy, the sofas were stained and smelled. The main bdrm bed was horrible the bed literally fell apart, no doors on closets and the upstairs bedrooms were just as bad and uncomfortable. Checking in was a breeze and the communication with the property management was quick so that was nice. I will NOT recommend this place unfortunately.

Overall great for the price

It is a nice home. It was perfect for what we wanted since it is literally less than a mile from Snow Summit. The hot water is Instant and the heater warmed quickly which is a huge plus in the winter! There was a few cobwebs which was no big deal just not expected. The concrete part of the driveway fit 2 cars so it is unclear where 4 cars are to park but we only had 2 so it was perfect for us. Other than that it was great for the price and we would definitely stay again.

Un-confortable!

We left one night earlier, could not take it anymore.The place is beyond basic, bad coockware that is unsafe to use, all beds were unconfortable. We could not seat at the couch because its so worn out that you sink in and cannot get up. Not enough seating for all your family members (we were just 4). All furniture is old and ran down, can use a little TLC. No efforts have been made to make you feel you made the right decision of paying all the money they ask per night. Our bed broke after the first night. I got up in the morning and sat at the end of my bed to put my shoes on and the bed collapsed on my side. I called the property management company and they were pleasant and sent someone to repair it within a few hours. The gentleman that came to fix it was very nice, did a good job and repaired the whole bed as it had poor hardware all around. He also made the bed when he was done so that was a plus for me. The upstairs toilet had some stain running down the bottom of the bowl and there are no cleaning supplies at the property so I had my boys use my bathroom, the upstairs shower didnt look too clean either. What was the point of looking for a place with two bathrooms if I can't use one of them because its not clean.? There is an outdoor BBQ on the little side porche, make sure you either BBQ during the daytime or bring a head lamp as the lights dont work. Make sure you wash the dishes and cups before using them as they are washed by the prior renter and not clean.
