Comfortable Villa With Large, Illuminated Private Pool

This country Villa is situated in an olive grove, set in an acre of private land, which falls down the hillside to a little stream. Although very secluded, it is accessible from the road and there is ample parking. Wild boar still live on Mazmullar Mountain, which rises behind the Villa & many species of bird inhabit this area, including Golden Orioles, Bee Eaters, Nightingales, blue rock thrushes, Red rumped swallows to name but a few. The ancient Moorish water systems nearby are well worth a visit. The nearest hamlet (5 mins drive) is Los Ventorros, situated on the road to Comares and has two bar/restaurants. It is 10 minutes drive to the mountaintop village of Comares with narrow, winding cobbled streets, restaurants and a small supermarket. This region with its spectacular views and mountain paths, is a favourite with walkers and bird watchers. The villa is family run with help at hand.

This is an "upside down" house. Downstairs there is a bedroom with king size bed and en suite bathroom with bath, over bath shower, basin and bidet. The family room has a king size and a single bed and the third bedroom has bunk beds and a double bed. There is also a family bathroom with bath, over bath shower, basin and bidet.

Upstairs is the large main living room with sliding doors leading onto a balcony. Also on this floor are the kitchen and dining room which lead onto an upper floor terrace. There is a double sofa bed in this room.

Outside on the ground floor is a very large terrace with barbecue and table tennis and the large pool with bar and lockable gates.

Beautiful countryside house

Fantastic property situated in stunning countryside. Spacious and with everything we needed and with excellent communication from the host. Particularly loved the different terraces for outside eating at different times of the day. Lots to do from the table tennis to the badminton to the pool. Would love to return one day and definitely recommend. Thanks for a great stay!

Hide away near Comares

The villa has absolutely everything you need for a relaxing stay. The Host Kate leaves a wonderful welcome pack of beer wine bread milk eggs marmalade and more. if you want a peaceful getaway with a lovely pool in a beautiful valley this is the place for you. The hilltop village of Comares is a 10 min drive which has some lovely restaurants and bars with amazing views, would definately stay again.

Well equipped, comfortable villa

Villa was comfortable and had everything we needed and more! Nice to see that it had not been stripped of things like salt and pepper, washing up liquid, matches etc. as we have found in rented villas before. Clair met us as arranged and showed us around. The pool was lovely and the bar area was a useful addition. (A couple of hornets by the pool but they were not a problem and just flew around for a bit and didn't bother us.) Only downside when we were there was wasps which we know there is nothing anyone can do about. We were constantly driven indoors by them and had to keep doors and windows closed most of the time. Suggest taking precautions if allergic. We were unable to use the BBQ due to the wasps which got very agitated. The El Molino restaurant was good and local. (The Table Mountain restaurant was closed when we were there but a sign showed it should be open again soon.) We would be happy to come here again.

We are pleased that our guests were happy with Casa la Vereda, apart from the wasps, which we are very sorry about .This year October has been considerably hotter than usual, which may have contributed. I'll look into ways of controlling them for the future

Wir wurden mit einer kleinen Grundausstattung an Lebensmitteln begrüßt. Das Haus ist praktisch ausgestattet, überall gibt es nette Sitzgelegenheiten, eineTischtennisplatte, ein Tischkicker und der Badminton- und Fußballplatz laden zur Freizeitbeschäftigung ein. Der Pool wird durch Solar beheizt und war unser Hauptaufenthaltsort am Tag. Wer seine Ruhe haben will ist hier genau richtig. Am Fuße des Grundstücks läuft ein kleiner Bach, sehr idyllisch. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war ebenfalls sehr gut. Das Haus ist empfehlenswert.

Warm welkom door de eigenaar met een gevulde koelkast en een schoon huis. Er waren voldoende handdoeken en verder is het hus van alle gemakken voorzien. Prachtige terrasjes aan alle kanten van het huis naast een olijfgaard. Helaas was het te warm voor badminton of tafeltennis maar hebben daardoor wel gebruik gemaakt van het zwembad en konden onder de boom koelte vinden en tegelijk gebruik maken van de barbeque. Vanuit het huis is er een privepad dat naar de beek leidt en daar door de beek gewandeld. Het is een prachtige plek om tot rust te komen met op de achtergrond het gezang van vogels. Dit huis is een aanrader op 1 negatief punt en dat waren de muggen. Wel van alles in huis beschikbaar om ze op een afstand te houden.

Merveilleux séjour à la Vereda

Nous avons passé une semaine de détente totale dans cette belle maison andalouse parfaitement équipée et nichée au creux d'un écrin de verdure: des heures entières dans la magnifique piscine, d'agréables promenades dans les environs et à Comares, petit village blanc accroché en haut d'une montagne. Il faut le mériter, car le gite est accessible par de petites routes parfois très pentues, mais une fois qu'on y est: le bonheur! Excellent contact avec la propriétaire.

Muy contento por todo, la casa no falta ni un detalle, lo tenia todo de todo. El detalle al llegar....hay cosas que no tienen precio!!! Una de las casa a la que si podemos volveremos, no ha encantado todo, de las que hemos estado, y van unas cuantas, la mejor de todas en todos los sentidos, casa trato, preocupación, limpieza.....

Erholsame Tage im Casa la Vereda

Wir haben die 2 Wochen sehr genossen. Unser Sohn wollte am liebsten die gesamte Zeit am Haus verbringen. Pool, Tischkicker, Tischtennis und nicht zuletzt die Katzen erforderten seine ganze Aufmerksamkeit und wir hatte Mühe ihn für Ausflüge zu motivieren. Wir hatte eine schöne Zeit und kommen gerne wieder.

Nice property. Lovely location. Pool area is excellent with bar, fridge and running water. Only 5 loungers though, so could be a problem if theres more of you. Everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Would recommend.

Superb place to relax and unwind - peace and quiet!

We had a lovely stay at the Villa Vereda. There are plenty of little areas to sit and relax. The pool is a great place to cool down and the bar area is a lovely place to have a drink. The house has all the facilities needed and is a real home away from home. We would come back again.

Peaceful, well equipped, beautiful pool, very private villa

We were a party of 7, 4 adults and 3 children. We had a lovely stay at the villa, it was clean with every need thought of and a very nice welcoming package. We all enjoyed the pool area for sunbathing,swimming or dancing at the bar! The kids lived in the pool. The area was beautiful. A car is definitely needed and once we had got used to the driving around the mountains we made trips to Comares which was breathtaking and Malaga and Nerje beach and caves which we would really recommend, WOW. We had a lovely stay. We enjoyed watching the swallows, amazing to be in the pool when they swooped in for a drink. As a family, the villa filled our needs nicely. The badminton court was a real hit! The many terraces meant we could follow the sun or shade around throughout the day. Overall our stay was lovely and we thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, peaceful stay or a fantastic pool area and we hope to return again one day.

Peaceful, comfortable and well equipped.

The property is set in the countryside of Malaga, but well stocked supermarkets , bars and restaurants are very accessible, making the location absolutely perfect. The property itself is full of character and very well equipped, the hosts were perfect In the respect they gave you all the space and freedom required but were only 10 minutes away if needed. Leaving the essentials in the fridges and freezers was a lovely gesture and very much appreciated. To summarize it's a beautiful and peaceful area and property but with enough to do if you so wish. If your on the fence about this area or property then jump off it and go. Brilliant in every aspect.

Great pool and bar

We had a lovely time in here in July/August 2017. The pool and bar were great and the villa comfortable. The local town of Comares is very pretty and we enjoyed a few days there. The roads up and down the mountain do (of course) have a lot of twists and turns.

vacance trés dé-paysante

Nous venons tous juste de rentré de notre séjour en Andalousie où nous étions partie en famille nous avion réservé cette villa qui est situé a 5Km de COMARES petit village montagnard typique où les habitant sont très accueillant et chaleureux il ne faut juste pas avoir peur des pentes car elles sont raide l'endroit est fabuleusement reposant il n'y a aucun bruit ci ce n'est celui des cigales et des oiseaux qui chante l'endroit est vraiment exceptionnel si vous voulez profité en famille même grande ou entre amis sans trop bougé car c'est je dirait le seul inconvénient de la situation géographique de la villa il vous faudra environ 40min de voiture pour descendre de la montagne d'un côté ou de l'autre nous n'avons pas pu profité pleinement de la piscine ou du terrain de tennis car nous n'avons pa eut des températures très élevé, mais celle-ci ne demandé cas nous accueillir la journée ou même la soirée avec ces lumière bleu, elle est magnifique voilà je vais m'arrêter là et vous laisserai découvrir le reste par vous même bon séjour a tous

We have lived in Comares since the 1980s and our children grew up here. We built this house and our property in the village of Comares ourselves. Apart from looking after our rental houses and guests we renovate older properties for longer term letting.

Why they chose this property

This house and its situation in an olive grove make for a wonderfully peaceful and secluded holiday. Although within easy reach of major destinations, it is spacious enough to spend the whole time here enjoying the pool, table tennis and barbecue if you just want a restful time.
