sehr schöner Außenbereich mit einem tollen Blick auf Comares von der Terasse, sicher und viel Privatsphäre, viel Platz im Haus, Wechselwäsche lag bereit, der Pool wurde regelmäßig gereinigt, prima Klimanlage, wir können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen. Der einzige Punkt ist die krasse Anfahrt auf den letzten 10 Minuten, einen guten Mietwagen und einen geübten Fahrer macht dies aber nichts aus.

Great place to enjoy your Holiday!

We had a very nice holiday at Casa Holly. Beautiful house, in a fantastic place in the mountains. The way home is exciting the first time, but after driving a few times, it's not that bad!

An unforgettable stay

Repos assuré avec vue exceptionnelle

Très belle villa au calme avec une vue magnifique à 360 degrés. Piscine un peu petite mais bien agréable pour se rafraîchir et passer de bons moments de détente à l’ombre de la végétation luxuriante. Accès un peu délicat jusqu’à la villa. Cheryl est hyper réactive en cas de besoin. Bref, je recommande +++ pour se reposer…

Very clean and spacious villa in a remote location

The villa was very clean and tidy located in a rural setting. Takes a while to get to it but the views are fantastic. Contains everything that is necessary and more.

Wonderful stay at Casa Holly

The villa is made for disconnecting, very well equipped and located in a picturesque Andalusian valley. The kitchen is perfect for those who enjoy cooking and baking. The BBQ is great. The jacuzzi and pool are regularly maintained. The beds are comfortable. The views are stunning. The villa is clean. We stayed for 2 weeks and I would have stayed for a third. For some it may be too quiet but it was exactly what we wanted. If you are planning a stay there, it is best to prepare accordingly, do your grocery shopping in Málaga, the road to the villa is unpaved ONLY for the last 1-2 kilometres, driving slowly, we had no trouble with a 9 passenger minibus. Comares can be reached in about 15 minutes, passing through the bottom of the valley, where you can buy supplies. The owner is easy to contact and available, and knows the area inside out. Even if I try to think about something we didn’t like, I don’t find anything. I would definitely book the villa again. Thank you Cheryl ❤️for sharing your paradise.

Traumhaft schön

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit dort verbracht. Die Villa ist einfach traumhaft schön und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet, wir fühlten uns wie zu Hause. Meine Tochter entspannte sich im Whirlpool und genoss diese Zeit. Den Pool hatten wir nicht genutzt, da es leider etwas kühl war im Dezember. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht. Es ist absolut alles vorhanden, von Gewürzen, bis zu Waschmittel etc. Der check-in und check-out war völlig unkompliziert und der Kontakt sehr herzlich. Es war es eine sehr schöne Zeit dort. Ein großes Dankeschön, dass wir unseren Urlaub in dieser Traumvilla verbringen durften.

Wunderschöne Zeit

Wir waren eine Woche im Frühjahr in der Casa Holly und hatten eine wundervolle Zeit. Super ausgestatte Wohnung, nicht nur Küchengeräte und Grill, sondern auch z.B. Öl und Gewürze sind vorhanden, ganz abgesehen von den kleinen Luxusfreuden wie dem Whirlpool und den Terassen, die gemeinsam dafür Sorgen, dass man auch Tagelang einfach nur gerne "zuhause" ist.

Casa Holly

A lovely well equipped villa, we were very happy. It might be too remote for some but not for us, though best to arrive in daylight. The mountain views were fantastic especially of Comares and a great hike from the villa which we thoroughly enjoyed. The sun shone 6 days out of 7 and pleasantly warm for February.

Fantastic holiday villa

Casa Holly was a fantastic holiday villa. It was very well equipped and the furnishings, electrical goods and BBQ were of a very high standard. The area was extremely quiet and there were stunning views up to the hilltop village of Comares. Plenty places to sit in the shade or the sun. It was great to lie in the hot tub after sunset and watch the stars. Occasional visits from a couple of very friendly cats. The pictorial and written directions from the owners were perfect (DO NOT use Sat Nav) and they were available at all times via WhatsApp, although we did not need to contact them. Small shops are available in Comares and Riogordo, but best to do the bulk of food shopping as you leave Malaga. There are also medium-sized supermarkets on the outskirts of Casabermeja with easy parking. Comares is a lovely village and well worth a visit – we didn’t try out the zipline but it looked amazing. We also visited Park El Torcal with spectacular rock formations and a visitor centre/cafe. At Montes de Malaga there is a nice short hike to Mirador del Cochino with fantastic views (parked at Hotel Humaina). Plenty parking and picnic tables in the shade at the recreation area at the south end of the reservoir near Vinuela with an option to walk round the reservoir. Torre del Mar was quiet in October but has a great promenade with various bars. Overall, superb villa and location.

Great place,

Lovely place, clean and well presented, a little difficult to find in the dark, but if you take your time it’s not an issue. Lovely area to walk around in the country and not to far to drive to local amenities. Would definitely stay again in future.

Perfecta estancia en casa en el campo. Piscina, barbacoa, jacuzzi… perfecto El camino de acceso tiene una parte en pista sin asfaltar que ya se indica en la información del anuncio y en otros comentarios pero conduciendo despacio se accede sin problemas. The perfect hidey hole for a "Do not disturb" break.

On arrival to the property, we could immediately see that the owners took pride in their rental. There is enough equipment to cater for an army everything is on hand and of a higher quality than the usual rental properties. Every piece of furniture inside and out is as comfortable as you would expect at home. The property isn't overlooked from any angle, as private as you could ask for. Cheryl was a wonderful host who answered my trivial questions in minutes. We have been renting properties since 1990 and I can honestly say, this one is my favourite so far.

Rural Idyll - peace and views

Absolutely fabulous villa, with all you need for a lovely relaxing holiday. Beautiful kitchen, very well equipped, great lounge and TV system, fantastic wifi, impressive air con/heating system, hot tub with views of the mountainside and hilltop village sensational. Lovely sunny-filled outdoor terraces with nice furniture to eat, relax, sunbathe, or sit in the shade. Beautiful night lights to allow enjoyable evenings outdoors.

Lovely villa in stunning location

The villa is very spacious, the kitchen is well equipped. The views from the jacuzzi are stunning. The villa is not overlooked. Access is via a combination of tarmac, concrete and gravel single track road. An SUV type vehicle is best. Overall we had a wonderful time at Casa Holly. There are plenty of tracks around the villa to walk and explore the olive groves. Directions to the villa and communication with the host were excellent. Most of Andalusia is within a couple of hours drive.

El alojamiento está muy bien. Hay sólo dos cosas que estorban. La primera es el carril para llegar a la casa. Inadaptados para coches de turismo. Y la segunda son los comercios de comida estan a una media hora de la casa.

Traumhaft schön und sehr ruhig

Alles gut beschrieben, und die Anfahrt ist nichts für Tiefergelegte Autos! Die Zufahrt zum Objekt ist etwas holprig, da die Straße unbefestigt ist. Das ganze Haus mit dem Pool und dem Jacuzzi ist Traumhaft, und sehr geräumig. Das einzige Manko was eigentlich kein Manko ist, das Einkaufen! Im Ort Riogordo bekommt man leider nicht alles was man so benötigt. Also mussten wir nach Velez Malaga, um frisches Fleisch, Aufschnitt und alles andere. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr sehr genossen, und würden dieses Haus wieder mieten. "Traumhaft"

Casa Holly near Comares

What a lovely property and location with our trip made easier by the owner who provided additional information and was available via WhatsApp for the duration of our stay. It's true to say that the villa is in a remote location and, although we did not find the tracks leading to it a particular challenge, we definitely recommend an SUV style vehicle just for the additional clearance it provides. The week we visited was nice and dry so there were no issues for us with the mountain roads and switchbacks etc. The only downside was that it was a bit of a distance before you reached the tarmac of any main roads but we had come for a relaxing break so alternated a day at the villa and a day out and about. Definitely get your groceries on the way from the airport as you will not want to keep nipping out once you arrive at the property. Facilities at the Villa were excellent, hot tub was wonderful and the roof terrace was lovely for stretching out with a good book. The Villa was also well appointed from the perspective of cutlery, crockery and general kitchenware - this is something that we often find a bit sparse at some villas, but not in this case. We had a lovely time and would recommend for anyone who wants a very quiet holiday, away from the hustle and bustle, and is not bothered by driving on mountain roads and smaller tracks. It's a feature of the region, not just this specific Villa. Many villas are nestled in the hillsides so the roads twist and turn as you would expect.

Joe and Cheryl are originally from the UK (London and Newcastle) and have lived in Spain for 21 years with their daughters Holly and Louisa.

Joe is a lighting designer and Cheryl a music teacher.

They lived in Casa Holly as a family for 4 years before deciding to move nearer to the coast to be closer to work.

Joe and Cheryl designed and built Casa Holly. They had some help with the impressive vaulted roof and saw the project as a labour of love. In total from start to finish, it took approximately 3 years to build working almost every weekend.

They love the area because of its beauty and tranquillity. The house is far enough from the costa del sol holiday scene but close enough to visit should the need arise.
