The house was perfect for an early spring holiday. The pool was beautiful, clean and (most importantly) warm despite the March weather, so we could swim multiple times a day. The pool setting, in a courtyard, meant that we could make the most of the sun, well sheltered from the wind. And on the days where "storm Theresa" battered the Algarve, the house was kept snug by the woodburner in the living area (and we still used the pool). Excellent, rapid communication with our host meant that it was easy to make the most of all the facilities. We would definitely recommend having a car, both for the convenience of accessing the supermarkets (especially Continente) and restaurants in Lagos, and also those slightly further afield like Restaurante Jardim behind Meia Praia, Casa Chico Ze on the N125 and Restaurante Zavial at Praia do Zavial. There are lots of terraces in the large garden around the house, giving options for sitting and eating in and out of the shade, depending on the time of day.

Great stay

Host was very responsive. House was clean and perfect for our three children. Layout of villa was also great. It allowed all three children to sleep in one room with us across the hall and then my parents and grandma on the other side. Both of us had our own bathroom which was needed. kids loved the pool. Can’t say enough about this place.

A lovely holiday house

We had a fantastic time in the villa. The pool was lovely and warm and the barbecue was great. There was plenty of room inside but we didn’t spend much time there!

Lovely villa, ideal family accommodation.

A lovely villa, well cared for with lovely views and central location. Ideal for golfers and surfers. Our 5 and 2 year old grandchildren loved the heated pool. The four bedrooms worked well for 8 of us and I loved it being on one level as we didn't have to worry about stairs. Plenty of parking too.

Great family villa

Lovely villa, great location for all ages Pool gated, which is superb with young children. Both cleaners, pool maintenance and gardener came during stay but were very respectful. Lagos itself is thriving with marina and great restaurants. Fantastic boat trips. Taxi’s easy to come by

Great villa for Lagos

Six adults and a baby stayed here for one week in July. The villa provided a comfortable place to stay for our week. We especially liked the pool and bbq area. Although we hired cars, we were still able to walk into lagos town centre easily. Great tapas restaurant down the hill too. We would come back and stay here again.

Life Savers

Last minute, Adrian and Marina accommodated us for the dates we required. Property is perfect location for Uber into town, takes about 5mins. House is perfect for what you need, cracking views of the landscape too. Can’t praise the place enough.

Lovely villa in a beautiful setting

We had the most amazing holiday here-we were four adults, two children and two toddlers and it was perfect for what we needed. We hired a car which was necessary as the villa is in a beautifully secluded area but it’s very easy and quick to drive to any of the local gorgeous sandy beaches and also into the city of Lagos. Pool was a perfect temperature for the children too. Wish we were still there!

Everything very good, television not working/ we could not get it going! Problem with the fob for gate, as it would not work when it was hot during day!

Comfortable villa with ample space and a great pool.

We stayed at the villa for a week with family friends of ours and it was perfect. We were two families of four people each and the villa accommodated us perfectly. A central area with lounge, dinner and kitchen with two bedrooms and a bathroom either side of it. The pool was excellent, clean, in good repair and a chap turned up at one point to perform the pools regular maintenance. Maid servi e also attended once to tidy and change towels etc. We used Uber to get to town of an evening and they took less that 10 minutes to arrive and cost less than 5 euros. It worked really well. All in all the stay was top class and didn't disappoint.

Amazing time at Casa sebastiao

The villa is totally amazing and clean exactly how it is described on the website the cleaners come in every 5 days and do a fantastic job of cleaning the villa and they are really friendly and helpful the pool is plenty big enough for fun or a chilled swim it’s always clean and the solar heating just takes the chill off but the sunshine is so nice and hot u don’t really need it the town is literally a 5€ Uber away and the Uber drivers around here are super friendly I came here with 2 family’s and there was plenty of room for all to enjoy our time here I would defiantly come back again and would highly recommend anyone else to come and stay one tiny negative is the freezer space and fridge is limited but with the supermarkets really close by it’s not a problem picking up more food and drinks when needed marina is a brilliant host and helps out with any questions you may have she reply’s very quickly and is happy to help with what ever she can I would give this villa and holiday 10 stars if I could

Lovely villa with a great heated pool and beautiful views.

We were a family of 6 adults and one child who enjoyed a holiday in Casa Sebastiao in May / June. The villa is situated in extensive grounds with many terraces to suit any time of day and these are furnished with a good number of loungers, tables and chairs. The solar-panel heated pool is a good size and warm. The villa is well positioned in a semi- rural location with beautiful views of the mountains and countryside but still close to the centre of Lagos which is only about 10 minutes drive away. Lagos is a lovely bustling little town with a great marina and a good range of restaurants, shops and activities. Casa Sebastiao is well-equipped with everything you would need for your stay. However, we found that the water pressure in one of the bathrooms was low, but we managed alright. In conclusion, a very happy holiday was had by all and we would return.

Lovely stay!

We had 8 adults & 4 young children & stayed for 1 week. The villa was a great size, with lovely grounds & extremely clean on arrival. It is very safe for the children & we loved that there is a iron gate to get to the pool. The villa provides all the necessary appliances & a nice BBQ, however the oven didn't work. A bigger wifi usage amount is suggested, as it was very slow, sometimes not working. The customer service was brilliant, the owners responded to all my queries beforehand & arranged transfers etc for us. Lagos town is really lovely & well worth a visit & a taxi is between 4-5 euros. You can walk, but the main road doesn't have much pavement & is not the safest, so we chose taxis as we had pushchairs. There is a lovely tapas restaurant, which is a few minutes walk. Would recommend this property. Thank you for a great stay.

Family holiday Lagos

We had a lovely stay in the Villa, Lagos is very beautiful with lots a superb restaurants in old town. Lots of lovely walks down by the Marina which was fabulous too. The only down side the Villa was not in walking safe distance to the old town, we had to get taxis/Ubers there and back which added a lot of cost. As we were a family of 9 it consisted of 2 taxis. I did walk it a few times but far to unsafe for my little girl and my parents who are 70. Also all up hill on way back. The sun beds around the pool could do with replacing very uncomfortable or padded cushions putting on them. Could of done with a few bottles of water being left in fridge when we arrived, as we had nothing and no shops near by.

Sorry to hear that you found it difficult going into town and back, I do let people know on the villa details that we're located on a hill which gives us our lovely views, we also advise taking a taxi on return from town. I've informed my cleaners to buy some new padded cushions for the pool area, thank you for letting me know, I expect that some may have been removed due to condition. It is a shame you did not let me know sooner. A large bottle of water, tea/coffee, sugar, and biscuits should have been left for you on arrival. There is a back route to the shops which I've walked many time myself, however, this would not have been much help to you as it still means walking up a hill on your return, or taking a taxi/uber. Fantastic holiday

For 10 days with 4 adults and 4 children (aged 9 & 11), this villa was fantastic. The outside space was amazing and the pool was superb. We walked to town most days/evenings, takin about 15 minutes to teach the marina, although it was single file on the road as it doesn’t have a footpath- but this didn’t pose any problems. Once at the Marina its a beautiful 10 minute walk to the heart of the old town and the buzz of Lagos proper. The villa inside I would describe as rustic/traditional but everything worked and the space was ample for all of us. Two well working fridges was a real bonus and the air con in all rooms worked well. We normally taxied home, either in an 8 seater or two separate taxis, at about 6-7 euro which is cheap as chips. Overall I would definitely recommend the villa, with its amazing space and views, quiet, relaxed surroundings and large family pool. Marina the owner was always available via email and very accommodating if/ when I contacted her before I left. Great spot - get it booked!!!

a beautiful villa

A beautiful villa situated in a quiet area. 2 Lovely showers/bathrooms and a well stocked kitchen (With sharp knives too!). We were 2 adults and three children, and this would quite easily accommodate 2 families without you feeling you were getting in each other’s way. The outside area was a great - good sized swimming pool, nicely sheltered from the wind, and two outside seating areas that get the sun at different times of day, so there is always the option of sitting in the shade. Although all rooms have air con, the house stayed generally quite cool if the shutters were left down. Cleaners come twice a week and do the kind of job thought only my Auntie can do – even de-haired the hairbrush! Pool cleaner and gardener keep everything looking spotless – we never saw them, but we knew when they had been. All in all, the nicest place we have stayed. Wish it was closer to the sea, but a 10 minute drive does get you there and to all supermarkets and restaurants. Highly recommended

Over priced

Arrived early than check in time so phoned to request an earlier checkin.Was informed that was not possible so we went to McDonald’s to wait for their phone call to tell us when we could check in.It should have been 2pm.We received a phone call to say that the villa would not be available even at 2pm as the owners grandson was having logistic issue to get him to airport. At 3.30pm we were fed up with waiting so arrived at villa and hung around until 4.15pm when eventually the cleaners finished. The pool was dirty and did not get cleaned until our last day.There were cracked and missing tiles from the pool.No washing up liquid or dishwasher tablets or bin bags.No prior notice to the gardener or pool cleaner turning up.up.sarrived h

I’m sorry that you had to wait sometime before you were allowed into the villa, however, I did say when I called you that you were welcome to sit by the pool until the cleaners had finished cleaning, and that it was unfortunate it was not possible for you to go in any earlier as you requested due to the villa not being available until at least 2.30pm. My Husband also informed you that it was possible to drop off your cases earlier if you chose too. I do try to accommodate people were I can so in respect to the change of dates you required from 1st August to the 31st July, I think in doing so this may have caused our cleaners some confusion with the delayed clean, for which I apologise. Our grandson was not the issue as to why you were unable to access the villa. Unfortunately his plane was delayed so he remained in our private cottage (that is not in use when we have guests) away from the villa until his taxi arrived at 4pm. I hope this would not be of any inconvenience to you. As regards to the bin bags our cleaners always leave bags in the two bins under the sink after taking away the rubbish, so I’m not sure why this would not have been the case. They have since informed us that they did leave bags. The villa is self-catering and there is normally some washing liquid left by the previous clients. We do supply the initial toilet rolls/soap and again on the mid week clean in both shower rooms, including tea/coffee and biscuits and bottle water on arrival. The pool is cleaned twice weekly on Tuesdays and Friday, so the pool would have been cleaned the day before you arrived, it can get windy and blow leaves into the pool area, there is a net on the wall by the pool to remove the leaves etc. Thank you for making us aware of the cracked tiles in the pool, this does happen from time to time with the on going use of the pool and will be addressed at the end of the season. We have never given prior notice to any of our guests regarding the attendance of the cleaners/gardener/pool cleaner, and it is something that has never come up before. There is a notice on the wall in the villa with information regarding the cleaning regime maybe this needs updating to let guests know there is no prior notice. I hope the rest of your holiday was enjoyable and that the beginning mishaps did not distract from the rest of your stay?

Location en famille août 2023

Très beau séjour. La propriété est très bien conforme a l’annonce et bien équipée. La piscine est au top nous en avons bien profitez! Possible avec des enfants de toutes âges car elle est aussi sécurisée. Seul petit bémol : l’état du portail d’entrée. Un gros plot en entrée frotte les véhicules s’ils sont bas. Il faut passer tres très doucement. Dommage qu’on puisse pas accéder par le portail de l’haut-relief de la propriété. Pour le reste excellent séjour dans une très belle propriété accessible et au même temps au calme.

Agréable séjour dans maison confortable

La maison est très bien agencée pour 2 familles, bien équipée et bien placée pour visiter le Portugal. La maison est à 5 mn du centre de Lagos en voiture. Les propriétaires sont très réactifs. Un jardinier, un pool man et des femmes de ménage entretiennent le bien régulièrement. La literie est parfaite. Les extérieurs proposent plusieurs coins en fonction du soleil de la Journée. Nous étions deux familles de 4 (enfant de 10 à 13 ans) et la maison est idéale. Nous recommandons !

I live in England with my husband and spend most of our holidays in Portugal, we love the country and the portuguese people are very friendly.

We love the Algarve because of the fantastic facilities in the area. There are many beautiful beaches and the marina boasts a great range of bars and restaurants. There really is something for everyone here. The area is easily accessible with Faro airport 50 minutes drive away.

The property is 15 minutes minutes walk or 3 minutes drive to the fabulous beaches and the pretty town of Lagos with local shops and restaurants.

We love the Algarve because the people are so friendly and most of all the weather.
There are many beautiful beaches, the marina and Lagos town have a great range of bars, restaurants and shops. There really is something for everyone here.

Our villa is large and spacious in a beautiful quiet location and not over looked by other villas. We have a well kept garden with flowering shrubs, oranges and lemon trees. We have views of the Monchique Mountains and Ocean. There is a private walled and gated pool area. We have air-conditioning in all rooms and free wifi.
Our villa is in walking distance to the town of Lagos this will take you about ten to fifteen minutes, if going by car then it will take about five minutes, although, you may wish to hire a taxi on your return as we are on a slight hill that gives us those lovely views.
