Monastero San Ansovino is a 12th century Benedictine monastery nestling in the breathtaking and tranquil hills of central Italy at the crossroads of Tuscany, Umbria and Le Marche. It has been lovingly restored into an elegant and comfortable holiday home using all original materials. Outside, our upper terrace has a large loggia with seating for 20. There is a large swimming pool for those hot days, and 12 acres of stunning hillside grounds to meander through if you feel like a walk. The tranquil setting makes it the ideal destination for family holidays, tracking and exploring. There is an excellent restaurant within walking distance, together with a wine bar and a bar/shop (open 7 days a week). San Ansovino lies about 4KM East of the beautiful medieval village of Apecchio which offers a wide range of services including a bank (with ATM), several supermarkets, bars, numerous excellent restaurants, a post office, chemist etc. The world famous UNESCO City of Urbino is just 40 minutes away, as are other beautiful hill towns such as Gubbio, Sansepolcro.
