A charming and typical stone house, located in Loveno, on Menaggio’s hills, just 1.5 km from the lake. A quiet position, with a little garden and a marvellous terrace overlooking the lake and the wood, where you can enjoy romantic dinners and lazy days in the sun. Come here to forget about the rest of the world! Relax and discover the beauty of Lake Como and its mountains. If you like to walk and hike, from the house you can start different trails, from easy to difficult. In the centre of Menaggio, that you can easily reach with a short drive or a 15-20 minutes walk, you can find all the facilities you need: shops, supermarkets, restaurants, coffee bars, internet points, banks, post office, public beach with swimming pool, lake promenade, ferry boat, bus station and many others. And if you need to connect with the rest of the world, use our free wi-fi internet.

A marvellous time in a spectacular location.

Deborah and Giuseppe were warm and welcoming. We felt right at home. The cottage is delightful and the view is stunning. We wish we had had more time! Highly recommend this place. You won’t regret it.

Lovely cottage with fantastic views

Lovely cottage on the hillside overlooking Menaggio and Lake Como. Everything you need is there. Deborah was very helpful, answering all questions. Walks from the cottage were lovely and the fenced in garden was great for our dog. Two or three local restaurants also within walking distance. Weather was fabulous too, even the lightning storm one night!

Every morning we enjoyed a cup of tea on the terrace overlooking the lake and the snowy mountain tops in the distance. The view really makes the cottage special. The cottage is not so big but has everything you need. The stairway to the bedroom is quite narrow so maybe not so suitable if you’ve difficulty walking. Deborah was very helpful and send us a good video of the driving directions to the cottage. The last part can be a bit tricky but with the video we managed just fine. If we visit lake como again we would love to come back to the cottage!

Fabulous

I had the best time in Menaggio and the location of the house was perfect for walks with the dog and adventures in the garden for the cat. The walk into town offered a good exercise opportunity and Menaggio itself was simply a delightful place. I will definitely return. Deborah and Gieuseppe were excellent hosts and just really nice people. I couldn't have asked for better service :)

Excellent Lake Como Holiday

We had a superb week in Italy by Lake Como. The cottage is as described and the owner, Deborah, is extremely helpful. I'd never booked through the internet before and the fact I was planning twelve days abroad made it all a bit daunting but everything went smoothly. Lago di Como itself is gorgeous, and the cottage is situated in Loveno above Menaggio. We walked every day down into Menaggio (it is steep but the views are worth it) and we found lots to do: hiking in the hills (the Refugio at Monte di Braglia is particularly recommended); ferry trip over to Varenna and Bellagio; just wandering around Menaggio (there's an historic walk that's worthwhile); and painting - the scenery is picture postcard worthy. There is a local trattoria just a few minutes from the cottage - Vecchia Magnolia - that does good food, and everybody is friendly. We will definitely be returning. Thanks Deborah. (Alan and Lesley)

Lovely cottage, Fabulous location

This was our first visit to the Italian Lakes and we could not have chosen a better place to stay. The description of the cottage is very accurate and the photos give a very good idea of what it looks like inside. But what the photos cannot do is show how truly wonderful the setting is and the wonderful view from the balcony. You can see the lake, the ferries criss crossing, the mountains, the little towns on the otherside and the woods all around. It's beautiful! The balcony is large and sunny, plenty of room for sunbathing and outdoor meals, and simply enjoying the view with a glass of wine in hand. The walk into Menaggio is about 20 mins down the hill past some lovely villas and houses. We did the walk several times in the evening, but always got a taxi back up the hill. This was no problem even for us who speak no Italian at all. There are lots of good restaurants in the town, we had several great meals in restaurants overlooking the lake. Menaggio also has plenty of shops, and a small but efficient supermarket. It was an easy drive from Milan airport. The directions given were clear and concise. The welcome we got from Deborah was very friendly. There is lots to do in the area. We hired a boat and whizzed about the lake for a couple of hours, visited some amazing villas and caught the regular ferries to and fro across the lake. 2 weeks really was not enough and we hope to return soon.

Klein aber fein mit tollem Ausblick auf den See. Wir wurden von Deborah kurz vor dem Haus in Empfang genommen, sodass die letzten etwas schwierigen Meter zum Haus gemeinsam gemeistert wurden. Die letzte Kurve muss man auf zweimal nehmen (mit einem etwas größeren Auto) einmal gemacht und danach kein Problem mehr.

Außergewöhnliches Häuschen mit großartigem Ausblick

Wundervolle Zeit verbracht, die Lage perfekt, um tolle Ausflüge, Wanderungen, oder einfach nur Ruhe und Natur zu erleben. Das Häuschen hat tatsächlich sehr viel Charme, wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Kommunikation mit Deborah war sehr gut, sehr freundlich und wir haben uns willkommen gefühlt. Einziger Wehrmutstropfen... ein Backofen in der Küche... das wäre schön gewesen, aber das ist Klagen auf hohem Niveau. Alles in allem ein unvergesslicher Urlaub!

Accès plutôt difficile selon la voiture, ce serait bien de le mentionner. Photos avec grands angles, pièces petites et en haut très mansardé, on ne tient pas debout et nous ne sommes pas grands. Escalier très exigu. Vue magnifique et endroit calme. Réserve naturelle avec magnifiques ballades juste derrière la maison. Accueil par Deborah très sympathique.

Traumhafter Ausblick

Ein wunderbarer Urlaub! Es ist ein schönes Haus mit fantastischem Ausblick über den See. Abseits vom Trubel in Menaggio, daher aber auch etwas beschwerlich zu erreichen. Dafür aber ein guter Ausgangspunkt für sehr schöne Wanderwege, vor allem mit Hundebegleitung. Deborah ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, die uns stets mit guten Ratschlägen zur Seite stand. Auch bei den Wanderungen hatte Deborah schöne Empfehlungen für uns. Liebe Grüße

Zeer geslaagd

Mooie locatie en goed ingericht huis. Veel privacy en een uitzicht waar je echt het vakantiegevoel van krijgt. Naar het dorp is een stevige wandeling van toch wel een klein half uur. Maar 2 prima restaurantjes op nog geen 5 minuten lopen.

Wunderschöne Location!

Alles in Allem ganz wunderbar! Entzückendes Haus, tolle Lage mit fantastischer Aussicht und in schöner Umgebung. Anfahrt mit grossem Auto auf den letzten 300m abenteuerlich. Deborah sehr nett, zuvorkommend und unkompliziert. Steile Holz-Wendeltreppe zum Schlafbereich für Hund und ältere, gebrechliche Menschen ungeeignet. Dafür schöne Terrassen und eingezäunter Garten, für Hund ideal. Allerdings viele kläffende Hunde in der weiteren Umgebung, dafür diverse Spazierwege schnell erreichbar, es geht immer auf und ab - gutes Training. Menaggio Centro (bergab) in ca. 20/25 Min. zu Fuss auf teilweise idyllischen und historisch bedeutsamen Wegen erreichbar. Loveno, wo das Haus gelegen ist, ist ein entzückender „Borgho“. Für uns war es super, das wird es auch für fitte Leute sein, aber eine Warnung: nichts für ältere Menschen mit Gebrechen - sollte vielleicht im Inserat erwähnt werden (wir gehören auch zu den „älteren“ Menschen, sind aber glücklicherweise noch sehr fit). Wir haben die 10 Tage in Deborahs Haus trotz gemischten Wetters sehr genossen!

Très sympa

Maison très bien située avec une vue sur le lac de Côme inégalable. Ça se mérite quand même car de Menaggio il y a une belle montée, mais cela se fait,avec un peu de courage, très bien. La montée vaut largement le coup. Sur place la maison est très bien équipée, il ne manque rien.

Fantastic views and cute cottage

Excellent property, we didn’t use the downstairs bit as the upstairs and ‘loft’ bedroom was fine for the two of us. It’s a pleasant walk down into Menaggio but the walk back is not for the faint hearted - approx 30 minutes and quite steep most of the way. We only did that once! As a base for exploring the area, it was excellent. If you have more than a small car (we had a hired Yaris), the approach road might be a challenge! Great views from the balcony where we had our breakfast looking out over lake Como.

magnifique

très joli cottage, très calme, avec une vue magnifique. Très propre, bien équipé, ses 2 terrasses avec vue sur le lac sont magnifiques. Le gérant est aussi sympathique que disponible. Seul bémol : l'accès en voiture est compliqué sur les derniers mètres, mais la vue est à ce prix!

Klein - aber fein

Ein sehr schönes, kleines Haus in toller Lage. Jedoch bedingt diese eine steile und enge Anfahrt - war aber mit Vorsicht machbar. Es liegt sehr ruhig - zu Fuß sind es nach Menaggio etwa 30 Minuten. Zurück - den Berg wieder hinauf - braucht man eine gute dreiviertel Stunde. Die Kommunikation mit Deborah und ihrem Vater war sehr gut. Alles hat super geklappt. Beide sind überaus herzlich und freundlich. Die Ausstattung ist gut. Lediglich ein bisschen ein größerer Sonnenschirm wäre bei den Temperaturen nicht schlecht gewesen. Dafür konnte man gut die untere Terrasse nutzen, die komplett beschattet ist. Auch mit Hund bietet es sich sehr gut an, da es komplett umzäunt ist, und die Vermieter absolut hundefreundlich sind. Vom Haus aus kann man schöne Spaziergänge mit dem Hund machen. Von dort aus sind auch sonst zahlreiche Aktivitäten und Ausflüge möglich. Es war ein sehr schöner, ruhiger Urlaub - vielen Dank an Deborah!

Very nice location overlooking the lake. Very comfortable. walking back from town may be challenge for but these 70+ year olds made it several times. Loft bedroom may be difficult for some with narrow spiral stair and limited headroom. Enjoyed our stay very much

Einfach nur perfekt, Blick von der Terasse auf den Comer See war mit das Schönste

Haus entspricht der Beschreibung und hat wirklich alles was man braucht. Grundstück ist komplett eingezäunt, war auch für unseren Hund perfekt.
