De très bons échanges avec les hôtes; très réactif : parfait;La maison ancienne située dans un petit village sur la colline surplombant le lac a été entièrement refaite avec beaucoup de goût et de grande qualité. Sur 3 étages, de vastes chambres et un très grand cuisine/séjour avec un escalier pour accéder à une terrasse d'environ 15 m2. Magnifique séjour. Merci à Joanna.

Wunderschöner Aufenthalt mit kleinen Mängeln

Vorneweg: der Aufenthalt war absolut spitze. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Ein paar Dinge sind uns dennoch aufgefallen:- Das WLAN (bzw. das Internet) hat nicht funktioniert. Allerdings muss man dazu sagen, dass die Eigentümerin sehr, bemüht war, sich um eine Lösung zu kümmern. Allerdings vergebens, die Italienische "Telekom" (EOLO) arbeitet noch langsamer als die Deutsche...- Es ist sehr viel Feuchtigkeit im Haus. Dem will man mit Trocknungsgeräten in zwei der drei Schlafzimmer entgegenwirken. Gute Idee, wenn die Geräte funktionieren würden.- Leider war es brutal schwül in unserer Urlaubswoche. Man hat daher auch kaum Luft ins Haus bekommen. Nachts ging kein Wind, Ventilatoren gab es, aber leider haben die nix gebracht. Bei uns hatte es 27 Grad- Zum schlafen viel zu warm.- Die Dachterasse ist ein Traum - allerdings nur zwischen 20 und 10 Uhr. Länger hat man es aufgrund der Temperaturen leider nicht ausgehalten. Es gab zwar einen Sonnenschirm, jedoch würde eine richtige Verschattung hier viel mehr Freude bringen.Wie gesagt, das sind jetzt ein paar "Kritikpunkte" auf hohme Niveau und vieles ist auch dem viel zu heißen und schwülen Wetter geschuldet. Bei "normalen" Temperaturen ist es ein wunderbarer Ausgangspunkt für sämtliche Ausflüge und Unternehmungen. Dann kann man vermutlich auch die Unterkunft etwas mehr genießen.

Traumhafte Aussicht

Wir waren super positiv überrascht, als wir die Haustüre aufgeschlossen hatten. Der Innenbereich ist liebevoll renoviert, Joanna gibt viele persönliche Einblicke in ihre Beziehung zum Haus, so dass man sich gleich willkommen fühlt. Die Fotos werden der Realität nicht gerecht. Das Haus ist wirklich etwas besonderes. Man muss sich allerdings darauf einstellen, dass es trotz aller Renovierungsmaßnahmen ein sehr altes Haus ist, aber mit Charme und einer interessanten Mischung aus italienischem Flair und englischem Landhausstil. Joanna war jederzeit gut erreichbar bei Nachfragen. Parken war manchmal nicht so einfach und man muss einige enge Serpentinen fahren. Nach mehreren Versuchen hatten wir aber einen guten Anfahrtsweg für unseren VW Tiguan gefunden. Wir kommen gerne wieder und freuen uns jetzt schon auf die traumhafte Aussicht auf der Dachterrasse!

Beautiful stay

We enjoyed our stay so much. The property was clean, and the location perfect. We brought our 2yo and had to watch the stairs as they are a little tricky for small legs! Besides that we will definitely be back in the future.

Stunning views

We had a lovely week in Casa Bellavista. What amazing views! It’s a comfortable property and well located. Really enjoyed the meal at Cardini - tried to go back again on our last night but they are closed on Tuesday. Joanna was great at communicating and gave us lots of really helpful info and suggestions, thank you!

Vue magnifique

En vacances avec des amis, nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'hébergement qui est idéalement situé pour visiter la région du lac Majeur, Stresa, Cannobio, Baverna, Pallanza, Orta et son lac, les îles Borromées, ... Nous sommes allés jusqu'à Milan par le train. Nous avons dégusté les spécialités gastronomiques italiennes dans plusieurs restaurants à des tarifs très corrects. L'hébergement est très bien équipé pour 6 personnes et le toit terrasse offre une vue extraordinaire sur le lac. Nous recommons cet hébergement et félicitons Joanna et John pour la renovation.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft

Wir durften 6 Tage in dieser wunderschönen Wohnung am Lago Maggiore einen Teil unseres Urlaubes verbringen. Die Wohnung ist sehr liebevoll und persönlich eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts. Der Weg nach Stresa ist recht steil, für Knie verletzte Personen, wie mich, ging es also leider nur mit dem Auto nach Stresa, ansonsten eine tolle Lage mit herrlichem Ausblick. Top Ausgangspunkt für etliche Ausflüge. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin ist unschlagbar gut!!! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Herzlichen Dank

Beautiful location and property

This was a beautiful location. The house was well equipped and a perfect get away for a family. Lots of stairs. The only reason that we gave this is a 4-star rating was the internet, which was necessary for us to communicate with our business.

Very Nice Stay

The property is located up a hill about 10 mins by car outside Stresa. The views from the terrace over the lake are beautiful. The property is well equipped and spacious. The nearest restaurant to the property is Ristorante Cardini which is a 5 minute walk away - lovely big terrace with a view over the lake , good food, service and fair priced, gets busy so worth booking in advance. Other than that there is a good choice in Stresa

Tolle Lage, Unterkunft durchwachsen

Zunächst das Positive: Die Gastgeberin gibt sich viel Mühe und gibt wertvolle Tipps für den Aufenthalt. Die Lage der Wohnung ist klasse und die Einrichtung liebevoll. Die Kehrseite ist, dass das Haus leider sehr feucht ist, insbesondere im Bad und in den Schlafbereichen. Wer also diesbezüglich empfindlich ist, auch bei Schimmel im Bad, sollte das Haus meiden. Außerdem hätten wir uns bei der aufgerufenen Reinigungsgebühr mehr Sauberkeit insbesondere in der Küche und bei den Böden gewünscht. Die Schlafbereiche sind aber sauber und gepflegt, haben nur leider bis auf ein Schlafzimmer feuchte Wände.

Another fabulous stay!

We all absolutely love staying at Casa Bellavista! The high quality property has everything you want and the views are totally amazing, better than any camera can capture! This was our second stay here and we found plenty of new things to try including the Maggiore 1.8km zip line which was fab! We had a wonderful meal at Cardini's which is 2 min walk from the property with wonderful lake views. We would highly recommend a stay here! Looking forward to our next visit already!

Touring Italy

My sister and I started our Italy visit from Stresa/Someraro! This property has the most wonderful view! Perfectly decorated and has excellent amenities! The drive up to Someraro in the middle of stormy night was a bit unnerving but we got the hang of it! Highly recommend planning your stay here!

Eine versteckte Perle

Das Haus ist in Wirklichkeit viel schöner als die Bilder auf Fewo. Geräumig, liebevoll eingerichtet u. die Aussicht von der Dachterasse ist grandios. Die Abwicklung - top. Der Weg zu Haus den Google-Maps vorschlägt ist nicht gut, kauf fahrbar - weil man da von Oben zum Haus geleitet wird. Auf jeden Fall einen Weg suchen der direkt von unten zum Haus führt !!! Ich würde dieses Haus auf jeden Fall wieder buchen !

We both live and work in England but share a passion for travel and exploring the sights and sounds of other countries. Before we got together, Jonathan backpacked round the world for a year and wrote back home every month telling us all about the exciting destinations he was exploring. Aside from travelling, we both love cooking, our weekly yoga classes, learning the Italian language and fitness. Jonathan is crazy about golf and Graphic Novels (comics) while Joanna is crazy about all kinds of literature, especially the classics. We both love walking in the countryside and above all, we love having fun! We are most at home when we're in the mountains or by the sea. Beautiful locations are what make us smile, along with our beautiful daughter Isabella Sophia, who was born on 1st April 2011.

We bought Casa Bellavista in 2006, the year we got engaged. I have been visiting Italy with my family since the age of 13 when I first fell in love with this magnificent country. In 2006 Jonathan proposed to me by the Trevi Fountain in Rome and it was at this point that Italy for me was firmly established in my mind as the most romantic country on the planet! We spent an exhilarating few weeks as a newly engaged couple, exploring Italy by train and falling more and more in love with the country and each other. We both love everything about Bella Italia; the food, the people, the culture, the stunning scenery, the shops, the weather, the list is endless! Lake Maggiore has to be one of the most romantic lakes in the world and for this reason, we looked for a property here.

When we first found Casa Bellavista it was a derelict wreck, but we could see the potential. Set in the picturesque village of Someraro, once we stepped foot in the house we knew we couldn't leave without signing on the dotted line! It was the scariest thing we have ever done, but the most exhilarating. It took over three years to complete Casa Bellavista, with the help of a fantastic architect and builder, but we got there in the end. Casa Bellavista offers the romance and tranquillity we craved and yet it is so near to so many fantastic attractions. We have made friends with the locals and are now able to converse with them in our pigeon Italian! We hope our guests will feel as at home in Casa Bellavista as we do. It really is set in one of the most beautiful locations in the world!
