Notes
- Notes on accommodation: The house has full central heating. This is a No Smoking accommodation. Unsuitable for pets. Outside: Casa Bellavista has had built onto it one of the only roof terraces in the village. From here, you will have panoramic views of the mountains and lake. Up here you will find the comfort and luxury of indoors has been taken outside and transformed into one of the main ‘rooms’ you’ll want to relax in. The six seater rattan dining set has been carefully chosen with comfort in mind – no hard wooden chairs to sit on, instead you can sink into each chair with your own velvet cushion at your back. The barbeque up here will make al fresco dining as simple as it is delicious. There is also an electric socket up on the terrace where you can plug in your iPod and listen to tunes if you so wish. Cushions and a large parasol are all kept in the outside cupboard on the terrace. The terrace is fully bordered by 1.2m high railings. Utility Room: Washing machine. Tumble Dryer, ironing board and iron. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Luxury bed linen and towels are included. The property is cleaned before each new guests arrive.

Ask a questionAbout Joanna Rigby
We both live and work in England but share a passion for travel and exploring the sights and sounds of other countries. Before we got together, Jonathan backpacked round the world for a year and wrote back home every month telling us all about the exciting destinations he was exploring. Aside from travelling, we both love cooking, our weekly yoga classes, learning the Italian language and fitness. Jonathan is crazy about golf and Graphic Novels (comics) while Joanna is crazy about all kinds of literature, especially the classics. We both love walking in the countryside and above all, we love having fun! We are most at home when we're in the mountains or by the sea. Beautiful locations are what make us smile, along with our beautiful daughter Isabella Sophia, who was born on 1st April 2011.
Joanna Rigby purchased this House in 2006
Why Joanna Rigby chose Someraro
We bought Casa Bellavista in 2006, the year we got engaged. I have been visiting Italy with my family since the age of 13 when I first fell in love with this magnificent country. In 2006 Jonathan proposed to me by the Trevi Fountain in Rome and it was at this point that Italy for me was firmly established in my mind as the most romantic country on the planet! We spent an exhilarating few weeks as a newly engaged couple, exploring Italy by train and falling more and more in love with the country and each other. We both love everything about Bella Italia; the food, the people, the culture, the stunning scenery, the shops, the weather, the list is endless! Lake Maggiore has to be one of the most romantic lakes in the world and for this reason, we looked for a property here.
What makes this House unique
When we first found Casa Bellavista it was a derelict wreck, but we could see the potential. Set in the picturesque village of Someraro, once we stepped foot in the house we knew we couldn't leave without signing on the dotted line! It was the scariest thing we have ever done, but the most exhilarating. It took over three years to complete Casa Bellavista, with the help of a fantastic architect and builder, but we got there in the end. Casa Bellavista offers the romance and tranquillity we craved and yet it is so near to so many fantastic attractions. We have made friends with the locals and are now able to converse with them in our pigeon Italian! We hope our guests will feel as at home in Casa Bellavista as we do. It really is set in one of the most beautiful locations in the world!
