There are not enough superlatives to describe our fabulous holiday and our exceptional hosts Michelle and Matthew! Apartment is perfectly located with stunning views across the bay and is spotlessly clean and well stocked with very comfy beds. Michelle had thought of everything and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay including a well stocked fridge on arrival which was much appreciated . The highlight of our holiday was our trip out on Foolish Behaviour with Michelle and Matt (and Dean) around the bay with lunch and drinks and swimming and donut ries too! The most amazing birthday for me finished with cake and candles on board! We would thoroughly recommend this property but most of all the great hosts! Thank you so much Michelle and Matt you are the best!

We had the loveliest of stays at Michelles apartment. Can't recommend it enough. The fridge was full of basics on arrival which was extremely generous and useful. We enjoyed our afternoon out with her and Mathew of Foolish Behaviour immensely. Our Son enjoyed some sea front fishing and we all got to try our balancing skills on the paddle boards. Old town Kotor is an easy walk with many options for restaurants and we managed to visit a few of the local towns. You never know we might well head back there one day. Thanks again Michelle for your hospitality. The Hoggs x

Wow! Please do not hesitate in booking this property. Michelle, the host, is one amazing lady. Her attention to detail and wanting to please and leave a lasting impression on guests is second to none. Communication from the time of booking was fantastic. The property itself is in an amazing location, just a short, flat walk into the beautiful old town of Kotor where there are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. There's a couple of supermarkets also within a short distance. The property is tastefully decorated and very spacious. The air conditioning is a godsend! The kitchen is well equipped and the showers are great. The pool is very welcomed in the heat and has numerous sunbeds. There are two very comfortable seating areas outside and a BBQ is provided. Privacy is not to be worried about and the outside balcony has wonderful views. The only downside to this property is that we had to leave it and come home!!! Michelle you are a wonderful host! In fact the best! We would 100% book again. You definitely get value for your money with this one!

Staying at this beautiful apartment in Kotor was truly one of the best holidays we have had for many years. From the moment we arrived, Michelle’s warm welcome and generosity made us feel completely at home. It was all made as easy as possible from the start, when Michelle picked us up from the airport and drove us the scenic way with a stop off for a quick photo opportunity (spectacular views looking down on the bay). The apartment itself was stunning – spotlessly clean, incredibly comfortable, with everything and more than we needed. The pool was a dream, especially on those warm afternoons, and the entire outdoor space was excellent. We spent hours on the terrace just watching the boats go by and admiring the scenery. The old town is easily accessible via a short walk and some good restaurants on the way. What really made the experience special, though, were the hosts- both Michelle and Matthew. The thoughtfulness and attention to detail made every day a joy. From the food and wine provided, to the fresh grapes straight from their own vine – it all felt so personal and heartfelt.A huge highlight was the boat trip – such a great experience and so generous to share that with us. We will never forget it.Thank you again for everything. We left fully relaxed and with the loveliest memories of our time in Kotor. We hope to return one day!

Wow, everything we expected but lots more

We’d read all the great reviews before booking so there was an expectation but both Michelle and her apartment definitely exceeded.Michelle gets everything spot on and really cares about ensuring people have the best experience. I particularly appreciated her contacting us a few weeks beforehand where we could get advice on some things we weren’t sure about. It’s reassuring that she is just upstairs if you need her but at the same time she manages to be invisible so you can relax and enjoy yourself.I tend to rate an apartment on how good the showers are (odd but seems to work) and in this case its 10 out of 10, everything works perfectly and the little touches Michelle has added makes it feel very homely.The outside space is larger than the pictures show and my lasting memory will be sitting on the sofa with either a cup of tea or a beer, looking out to the bay and just simply thinking how lucky we were be here.

Everything exceeded our expectations

It was our first time visiting Montenegro so we were a bit nervous. However those nerves were immediately gone as soon as we met Michelle the apartment owner. Michelle is very friendly, kind, helpful and very informative. Michelle and partner Matthew live close to the apartment which is very handy but they are not intrusive. They are by far the best hosts we have experienced on holiday.The apartment exceeded our expectations, extremely clean, well stocked cupboards, excellent air conditioning and the view is breathtaking. Great location with a small supermarket less than 10 minutes walk away which is very handy.

Exceptional!

The apartment exceeded our expectations. The location was great, just a few feet from the water edge where we were able to swim and paddle board. The terrace was a great size with sun loungers, a swing chair and comfortable sofas where we could watch the boats go by. It was around a 15 minute walk to Kotor where there are great restaurants, bars and shops along with a beautiful ancient town steeped in history to explore. Michelle couldn’t do enough for us and the apartment had absolutely everything we could possibly have needed. There were beach/pool towels, face masks and beach shoes, wine and crisps. Along with a folder with suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. Michelle was always on hand if we had any questions and nothing was too much trouble for her. We visited with our children aged 18 and 15 and the cable car ride and alpine coaster was a highlight for them. If you are looking to stay in Kotor you will most definitely not be disappointed with Michelle’s home. We only wish we could have stayed for longer, but we will return!

Amazing property and host!

This was our second time staying here and it was just as amazing second time round! The apartment is great - amazing pool, sea front access and beautiful views from the huge terrace. Michelle is a great host who goes above and beyond to look after guests - including picking us up at the airport, providing chilled beer, wine and food essentials on arrival and paddle boards/kayaks for us to use. Michelle and Matthew also took us on a wonderful boat trip around the bay. Thank you for another great stay!

The best host!

The position of the house is excellent, right on the water, and an easy 10 minute walk to the old city of Kotor. Michelle is the most welcoming and attentive host. She provided a generous amount of wine, beers and snacks on arrival, and was always on hand to give advice if needed. The boat ride in the bay, to the submarine pens was spectacular. One of the best properties that we have stayed in on our travels in Europe.

Amazing stay - 10 stars out of 5!!

We stayed at Michelle’s Kotor rental for a few days and what an amazing stay it was. The interior is so nicely appointed with plenty of space for a family, but what really takes it to the next level is the wonderful terrace and pool. Views of the bay and the old city, the ships sailing in and out of the port, and relaxing in the perfectly situated pool just made this literally the best VRBO we’ve ever had. Then to add amazement to amazement, Michelle included a sailing tour through the bay where we enjoyed swimming and the sights of Perast, Tovar, and more. Michelle is a wonderful host, going above and beyond any expectations, with a stocked fridge and snacks, guidance about the area, and just a warmth and hospitality that is unparalleled in my experience. I hope to be back many times!

Beautiful Stay Near Kotor

Michelle’s apartment is in a beautiful location just a short walk from Kotor old town. Michelle greeted us at the door after giving very clear instructions on how to get there and where to park. The apartment was amazing, clean, spacious and full of everything we needed and more. The pool is just outside the door and the sea just down the steps. The home is very well stocked and packed with extras to make you feel welcome and at home. Michelle gave us plenty of advice and help to make our trip unforgettable. We would never stay anywhere else when we come again. The best VRBO we have ever stayed in.

Fabulous villa, host and location

Just come back from a great week in Montenegro. The villa was just as described and the location was perfect. Central for exploring Montenegro and the activities it offers. Kotor old town had numerous excellent restaurants and shops to mooch round and was only about 10-15mins walk from the accommodation. But the thing that stands out from other places we have stayed is the host, Michelle, her attention to detail and care she shows went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable holiday - thank you Michelle.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!

Our stay was absolutely amazing. The accommodation is absolutely spotless and so so lovely. The pictures don’t do it justice. We used the paddle boards and kayaks every day, they were just fab! Michi went over and above for us leaving us some snacks and essentials and checking in to ensure we were happy with everything and was always there to offer advice. Fantastic!

We had a wonderful family holiday in beautiful Montenegro. The apartment exceeded all expectations, it is spacious and has everything you would ever need including very comfy beds! The outside space and pool were amazing with the most beautiful views we have ever experienced. Michelle is such a lovely host, nothing was too much trouble, we never needed to ask anything as she was always one step ahead! One of the kindest most generous people we have had the pleasure to meet. The apartment is in a great location and only a 10 minute walk into the old town. The children loved using the paddle boards and exploring the local area. We were all sad to leave and can’t wait to return!

Fantastic holiday in Kotor

We would 100% recommend staying at this wonderful apartment in Kotor. We were stunned by everything from when we arrived to when we left. The accommodation has everything you need while on holiday, excellent cleanliness and the welcome pack was great especially after a long day travelling. The views from the apartment are breathtaking from watching life go in the morning, the cruise ships, speedboats whizzing by, and the night lights of the old town. Kotor old town is around 20 mins walk, supermarket is 15 minutes, bakery 10 minutes. Waterfront is literally seconds away and we all enjoyed swimming and use of the kayaks and paddle boards. The pool was an added bonus and our girls loved playing in there late into the evening. Many restaurants, cafes and bars so much choice when eating out. Michelle was the best host and has a vast knowledge of the area and beyond. The apartment ticked all boxes and our holiday was made all the more amazing by Michelle and all of the thought she has put into visiting her lovely home. Go find some fun in Kotor and beyond, it truly has something for everyone.

Simply stunning

We have just returned from an amazing 10 night stay in this stunning accommodation. Every morning was a “pinch me moment” sitting with a coffee, taking in the stunning view of Kotor bay, watching the cruise ships sail in. The accommodation is very spacious and was spotlessly clean. We were a party of 2 adults and a 17 year old. Our other daughter joined us for a few nights and the accommodation was spacious enough for us all. The pool was a god send due to the very high temperatures Montenegro was experiencing at the time of our stay. We took full advantage of the Kayaks and paddle boards, the sea is just across from the apartment and we were even lucky enough to spot some dolphins. We arrived to a fully stocked fridge which we were grateful of, especially arriving on a Sunday when all supermarkets are closed. Michelle is probably the most amazing host we’ve ever had. Nothing was too much trouble and we have made a friend for life. Our daughter had a cancelled flight home and Michelle was so helpful with airport runs. Kotor it’s self is beautiful. It takes about 15/20 minutes to walk to the old town, where we spent evenings wandering around the pretty streets and sampling the local cuisine. I can’t recommend this property enough.

Another great stay

It is the second time that I have stayed in this lovely apartment. The view from the apartment and spacious outdoor seating area is spectacular.It was lovely sitting outside and looking at the view across the water.The lovely old town of Kotor is a 10-15 minute walk away with lots of restaurants and bars and beautiful old buildings. We spent lots of time on the paddleboards and kyaks provided (thank you). We did the "ladder walk" next to the old town which we really enjoyed. Perast and Budva are near for visiting and the cable car provided amazing views. Michelle is the best host I have encountered and is thoughtful and generous both with her time and what she provides within the apartment.

Absolutely Perfect!

We travelled as a party of four to explore Monty for the first time. We wanted to be walking distance from Kotor and this ticked the box. The apartment is in a beautiful location and is wonderful. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need, spotlessly clean with a wonderful balcony and small pool that were used throughout the whole stay as the temperatures hit 35C. As mentioned in many reviews the host Michelle has thought of everything with lovely touches such as the ample welcome pack, shampoo and soap provided, great hairdryer and the litre bottle of Rose wine on arrival. I would highly recommend the property.Thank you Michelle, Matt and family for making us so welcome.

My Happy Place

We enjoyed a previous stay here so much we had to return, and will certainly return again. Personally, I have been traveling for business and pleasure for more than 20 years and after staying in countless hotels, hostels and vrbos, I will say without hesitation that Michelle and her family are the best hosts I have encountered. Communications were effortless, clear and friendly. We arrived during a holiday when shops are closed, and were pleasantly surprised to find our kitchen fully stocked with food and drink for days. We took kayaks out onto the bay, and enjoyed hiking, shopping and exploring and ultimately fell in love with Kotor. Will be back for sure. Highly recommend.

Incredible place with an amazing host!

Everything was perfect, almost too good to be true. Michelle is such a gracious host and made our stay so easy. She communicated everything we needed for our arrival, met us and provided a fully stocked kitchen which kept us fed and entertained for the whole week. Will happily stay here again!

Great place

Great location, easy walk from the old town but with a view of Kotor, which is especially beautiful at night. The host is fantastic, with loads of local knowledge. The apartment has everything you could ask for, we particularly appreciated all the supplies that were provided on our first day. Can’t recommend this property enough.

Breathtaking views and unforgettable experience.

My husband and I have stayed at several VRBO locations throughout the years and this one absolutely tops the list! Waking up each morning to the amazing view and enjoying a cup of coffee on the private terrace was such a treat. To top it off, Michelle is such a warm and gracious host. She is so welcoming, informative, and had the apartment stocked with everything you could possibly need. If you have the opportunity to stay at this beautiful apartment, do it!!!
