About Lori Ortega
Growing up in the Southern Rockies brings a little touch of down home goodness to the heart. As children we've both loved the outdoors. We grew up skiing in mountains and love hunting and fishing. We own Premier-Outfitters, a hunting, horseback, fishing, hiking, and camping outfit. This gives people a opportunity to experience a lifetime adventure they will never forget. Now our three children follow in our foot steps. If it doesn't have to do with the outdoors they are not interested. You will get to know us and see how unique we are. We certainly can't wait to meet you!
Why Lori Ortega chose Questa
We want the people to feel comfortable when they stay at the Ranch and appreciate the quality of nature that surrounds you while you enjoy the stay in our cabins. The cabins here at our Ranch were thought up very carefully. Every log was hand picked by us to show of the details in the interior and exterior walls. Each cabin has its very own story. You are in a remote location yet minutes away from your destination you choose.
What makes this Cabin unique
We have many attractions at the Ranch. The kids will love winter and summer at the pond, skipping rocks in the creek or a nice mountain hike and view natural land slides and Indian ruins. Enjoy farm animals at the barn or a barbecue on the deck overlooking the creek. A camp fire by the pond is quite calming after a long day out. Walking into the cabins you will be remarkably impressed. The best benefit of all is to share your experience with your loved ones and take home stories you will never forget. Give us call to learn more.

Loved our stay in cabin. Will recommend to all family and friends.
Sweet little cabin, great for families
After some brief instructions over the phone, we found our cabin on the owners ranch at the base of one of the mountains. It's off the road a bit, but still an easy trip to one of the local restaurants or the grocery store. It is on a working ranch, with some activity, but it was mostly quiet for our stay. Everything was as promised, with linens, dishes, TP, and cleaning supplies available. There were detailed instructions that had us well oriented, though the owner was just a text or call away if we needed anything.
The cabin was spotless and tidy, and the space was more than enough for two adults and two kids. We found a hiking trail up the mountain that we all enjoyed, and we were still close enough to daytrip into Red River or Taos to explore town.
It was such a beautiful, peaceful trip, and we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely consider returning in the future.
Super cute cabin
We had a very enjoyable stay, wish we would have stayed longer.
Poor Communication from owner
I was not able to contact the owner. My vehicle got stuck due to road not being maintained by owner. They never even apologized. I wasn’t able to do any of my plans Saturday due to having to scrape ice from the driveway for 3 hours on Saturday morning.
We will be back!
This cabin is beautiful, rustic, comfortable and authentic. The location is just right. You feel secluded but you’re only a short drive to fishing, skiing, shopping. Lori the property manager was helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. We felt like we were living in a dream while we were at the cabin!
Any mountain outdoor activities is right at your finger tips. From jeeping and fishing during the summer, to skiing and ice fishing during the winter. There are plenty of local festivals year round. Enjoy local wineries and art and historical museums minutes away.
