Lieber Bernd, Vielen Dank für die 5-Sterne-Bewertung. Was den muffigen Geruch betrifft: An den Wänden des Flurs befinden sich alte Einbauschränke, die wir allen Mietern empfehlen, nicht zu benutzen/öffnen, da sie leicht modrig riechen. Solange dieser Schrank nicht geöffnet ist, sollte es in der Wohnung keinen Geruch geben. Ich denke, wir werden ein Schild anbringen, damit die Mieter diese Tür nicht öffnen. In Málaga sollten die Fenster regelmäßig zum Lüften geöffnet bleiben, da es das ganze Jahr über (auch im Winter) warm/heiß ist. Dies sollte also kein Problem darstellen. Dear both. Thanks for your lovely comments. We are always happy to support tenants in anway needed. We have invested in recent years by repainting all the indoors, changing the master room furniture/bed/curtains and living room sofas. This winter the pool will be emptied and retiled and we will also paint the outdoors too which should freshen up the outdoor appearance. Thanks.

Thank you very much for your response and the positive comments. I will respond on the downsides: 1) Towels: We do not provide pool side or beach towells and this is clearly stipulated in the standard email that I send all tenants. The two bathrooms have plenty of towels but if for whatever reason you need more then one can always ask us 2)Ants: We have a big garden so ants/insects are part and parcel of the nature. If the house is kept clean and with no food left outside then there is no issue with ants 3) The pool does have a shower hose that works that has been provide as a replacement for the original shower whose handle was unfortunately broken this summer 4) We are very sorry about the pool scenario. As you stated, you were unlucky that on your first night there was a storm with very high winds. Because of the surrounding beautiful trees it is is normal that leaves/dirt end up in the water. There is a net that tenants can use everyday for cleaning the daily leaves that may end up in the pool if it is windy. You are correct in saying that the pool filter is on a timer. On average pool filter timers should be on for 10-12 hours per day which is what we set it too. 5)When I was on holiday with my children in August unfortunately one of the pool lights became loose. Despite all our efforts we could not re-fix the light which is attached to a cable and cannot be removed. This can only be fixed once the pool season is finished and we empty the pool. We are going to empty the pool in November as we need to resurface the tiles that are coming off from the bottom. Thanks

Dear Emma, Thank you for taking the time in writing a review and adding the positive comments on the beauty of the villa, area, views and spacious nature of the surroundings which is what most tenants come to our villa for. Thank you for also mentioning that my mother took you for free to the supermarket. However, we are disappointed to hear about the few negative comments that you have added. I spoke to my mother and she informed me that at no point during during you stay did you ever communicate to us that there were any issue therefore we feel that your comments are unfair. If there are any issues during your stay (such as with the shower etc) then you need to inform us so that we can get them resolved. My parents are always around to help tenants with any possible needs. I will as a result respond to all your points for the benefit of future tenants: (i) Pool shower. This should be working and has always worked. If it did not work after day 3 of your stay you should have informed us. It has since been fixed (simple tap issue) (ii) The wifi works perfectly well in all areas including around the pool and balcony. It only does not work in the master bedroom as that is far away from the rooter. The house is build with very thick walls so the signal does not go through (iii) We changed the gas boiler for the hot water last year so they should work perfectly well. I was using the showers myself during half term in May and they were perfect. (iv) The apartment decoration is a little dated but the property was built with the very highest quality marble floor, bathroom tiles and doors. The master bedroom was completely refurbished last year with a new bed and furniture and the living room has a new TV and sofas. As far as the steep hill is concerned, it is only a 120m walk from the coast road. As clearly stated on VRBO, it is recommended to have a car but all details about have far one has to walk is described. Minimal fitness is required to walk up the hill and I have added these comments on our site as a result (my 3 year old daughter walks up the hill easily). In the peak of summer it is always not advised to walk with bags when heat is at its peak. Finally, we found your comments on the male owner/my father very unfair. My mother accommodates the tenants and handles most of the verbal communication. My father handles the maintenance of the garden, pool and outdoor areas. The garden is large and requires daily maintenance. If it was not my father doing the work then it would be a gardener. As described by multiple tenants since 2010, my parents always respect the privacy of tenants but it is normal that you will bump into them as the apartment forms part of a larger villa. From the feedback received from my parents, your family enjoyed staying around the pool/garden for most of the holiday therefore you would invariably see my father sometimes in the early morning or late afternoon when the temperatures allow for being outdoors (between midday and 19:30 he is guaranteed to not be out). Dear family. Thank you very much for your review, kind words and being such good tenants. We have now found the issue with the pool filtration. The sand in the filter has to be replaced, so after doing this the water should be perfect again
