Fantastic property!! We really enjoyed our stay there. Everything was as we expected. Lovely place to stay. The environment was very peaceful. There are a number of beaches only a few minutes drive away. Plenty of local restaurants and shops in the area.

We had a lovely stay at Spyros Villa which was modern, clean and well equipped. The pool was pristine- the nicest we have ever had at a villa. Good location for Fiskardo and nice beaches.

We had a wonderful 4-day stay at this villa with our family of four. Many thanks to our kind and thoughtful hosts, Paul and Debbie. The tomatoes, peppers, and lemons from the garden were so delicious, and the pool was a great size. Watching the sunset from the veranda in the evenings was an extra treat.The house was spotless and very comfortable, with all the kitchenware we needed—plus the thoughtful welcome drinks in the fridge, including wine, beer, and soft drinks. The villa is in a peaceful and quiet area, yet close to shops, beautiful beaches within 10 minutes, and just 15 minutes from Fiskardo.We can’t wait to come back next year!

What a place...

We had an amazing stay at Spyros Villa in Kefalonia! My boyfriend and I, along with my best friend and her boyfriend, all stayed together, and the villa was perfect for our group. The place was lovely and spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to relax comfortably. The outdoor space was incredible, with so much room to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The large pool was a definite highlight, perfect for cooling off and spending lazy afternoons by the water. The villa is set in a peaceful and quiet location, just 15 minutes from both Fiskardo and Assos, making it the perfect location up north. We wouldn’t change a thing and will definitely be back next year! Highly recommend!

Lovely villa on an amazing island

Lovely villa, exactly as presented on VRBO. Beautiful, clean, cool, well equipped. Outside space with both shade and sun at any time of day. Fantastic, clean pool. Beautiful sunsets. Two villas being built nearby, with only minimal noise during our stay. Clear and helpful information pack provided before arrival. Lots of amazing beaches accessible by a short drive - our favourite by far was Kimilia Beach - amazing snorkelling (recommend going early before the yachts find it). Thank you.

The perfect retreat for busy people!

We have stayed at Villa Spyros for four consecutive years and we have loved everything about our time there. The location of the villa is perfect. It suits us to be away from the crowds and to enjoy the peace and tranquility it offers. Owing to it's elevated position, the cooling breeze in the heat of the summer is lovely. The pool is amazing and the same could be said about the charming bays close by where we like to swim in the early mornings. The owner is delightfully hospitable, but in a discrete way which would not offend anyone. We love the roaming goats with their softly jangling bells, the gentle sound of the cicadas and the surrounding gnarled olive trees. The perfect Greek idle!

Northern exploration

We stayed at Villa Spyros so we could explore the Northern part of the island. We had only ever day tripped here from our base in the South. The Villa was great , it’s clearly had a high quality build , nicely laid out and was like a new pin inside and out . It is a credit to its owners who were great from the initial enquiry to our check out . We ate out in most of the local villages and thoroughly enjoyed the village feel to the area. There’s a supermarket just up the road for supplies and we used the bakery near Fiskardo . We hired a boat from Fiskardo and explored the coast and Ithaca, which was a new experience for us. On the last night we ate early and came back to watch the Sunset from the Villa .. for me it’s unrivalled anywhere in the world.. I look forward to visiting again in the future .

Perfect! Het huis en de tuin zijn perfect onderhouden en bevat alles wat je nodig hebt voor een comfortabele en rustige vakantie. Het huis was zeer proper. Goede bedden, functionele keuken met al het nodige en mooie badkamers. Het zwembad is ook heel fijn. Het terras met de buitenzetel is zalig, zeker voor de zonsondergang.

A perfect villa for two…

This is the first time I have booked a villa via VRBO and things couldn’t have been more straightforward. The owners of the villa were quickly in contact asking if I had any special requirements etc, and contacted me several times before and during my stay just to make sure that things were ok. The owners really seem to care and want you to have the best time. The villa itself is quite small, but absolutely perfect for a couple or a small family. Many times I have hired bigger villas only to never set foot in some of the rooms, so this one was just what we needed and at a very reasonable price too. It’s a little way out of Fiscardo, so you will definitely need a hire car, but it was so peaceful and relaxing with wonderful views of the sunset from the front terrace. You can see that the villa has recently been updated/refurbished (in a good way!) with a great kitchen area and lounge. The pool area was clean and tidy, and the pool itself was spotless. I would highly recommend this villa to anybody looking for a smaller, and therefore slightly cheaper villa - it really offers exceptional value for money compared to others I have stayed in.

Lovely villa with big pool

The villa is spotless and well equipped. We were welcomed with wine, beer, pop and water in the fridge. Kitchen set out really well with a few essentials including, washing up liquid, dishwasher and washing machine pods. Comfy beds good new towels for showers and pool use. Air conditioning quiet or fans if preferred. Great having 2 shower rooms. Large pool with ample sun loungers.

We loved our week in Spyros Villa. Spyros lives close by and could not have been more helpful. Told us the best local restaurants, beaches, places to see etc. On arrival our fridge had all the essentials and he had prepared a delicious dinner for us. Halfway through our stay he cooked us the most delicious mousakka and then turned up two days later with pork chops, sardines and sea bass. We tried to pay him but he would not accept any money - he just wanted to be sure we had a wonderful time. My two little boys said it was the best holiday they had ever been on. Outside area was great with all day sun and a great pool.

We would like to thank Spyros for a wonderful holiday. The villa was comfortable and his kindness and generosity made our holiday extra special. Gifts of fresh eggs, fish, home cooked meals and a great welcome pack where not expected! We would have liked to have walked to a village or sea but a car is essential, Fiskardo is a lovely town, very pretty. We had two super days out when we hired a boat, would definitely recommend as we found lots of private secluded beaches. Thank you again Spyros, kisses to you and your little doggies! Xx

Fabulous property in stunning rural location

We are a family of 4 who stayed at Spyros' villa for 1 week in August. He welcomed us warmly and we found a fully stocked fridge and dinner awaiting us. The peaceful location and views were stunning, the pool was so clean and we all loved it. The terrace surrounding the villa offered fabulous views. The villa has everything required for a great family holiday. Spyros himself is a genuine warm hearted Greek gentleman and his hospitality is second to none. He treated us to so many fantastic homemade delights and fresh eggs every morning. Fiskardo is a 15 minute drive away and when we did eat out even the kids compared his cooking favourably. If you're looking for a truly relaxing holiday in a quiet and peaceful location with great facilities and pool plus unexpected fabulous hospitality then Spyros' villa is the place to go.

The perfect holiday.

We are a family of 4 who have had a fantastic holiday at Spyros villa. The villa is even better than described on the website. Situated on the owners land, it has herbs and lemons growing in the garden for visitors to use. The pool is amazing and like every part of the accomodation, is very clean. Spyros is a very kind and welcoming host. He could not do any more to ensure that our stay was as enjoyable as possible. Fresh eggs daily from his chickens and a fabulous meal cooked for us on arrival. We thouroughly recommend this property, and will definately return.

Great place for a relaxing holiday

I can strongly recommend a stay at Spyros' villa on Kefalonia. From our arrival and warm welcome from Sypros after a long journey, to our last evening drinking Tsipouro with our host we had a great time here. The Villa was immaculately clean, in fact staying for 2 weeks from a Tuesday we had our sheets changed 3 times which felt almost decadent. The facilities are great with two bathrooms, washing facilities and plenty of cooking utensils. The bbq is also excellent with plenty of wood to burn and a great view of the pool which means you can happily sip a local Mythos beer and turning the lamb chops all while keeping an eye on the children in the pool. The sunsets over the sea view to the west are also stunning. The pool itself is also great, a good size for a small private 2 bed villa with plenty of chairs and lounges around it. As for Markoulata, the surrounding villages and Fiskardo these are all quiet and in places beautiful Greek villages and towns. Northern Kefalonia is a great place to relax and enjoy some great food, sunshine, beaches and stunning views

Perfect Holiday

We have been back home for just less than a week having spent 2 weeks at Spyros's Villa. We are a family of 5 - 2 adults and three teenage children and we just have to say thank you Spyros for such a wonderful holiday! Everything was perfect from the moment we stepped out of the car and Spyros greeted us with a warm welcome, a tour of the villa and a fridge full of food as well as a tray of homemade pastitcio! Everything about the villa was just as promised. It's clean and well equipped and the sea views are amazing with beautiful sunsets every night. Nothing was too much trouble for Spyros who provided us with fresh eggs every morning and some lovely authentic home cooked food. He was there when we needed his advice from booking restaurants and taxis and even helped us to sort out our car hire problem. The pool was clean and well maintained with plenty of sunbeds and shade provided and the dining area was perfectly positioned to watch those stunning sunsets. The location of the villa is idyllic and only a 5-10 minute drive to the local well stocked shops, tavernas and beaches. Fiskardo is a 10 minute drive from the villa and has a huge selection of restaurants and little shops that line the harbour as well as a couple of supermarkets. It's very quaint and although it's busy it doesn't feel too touristy. We hired a boat here to take over to Ithaca and explore the Kefalonian coast line. This was our second visit to Kefalonia and the first to this side of the island. Without a doubt we will definitely be returning again to experience the beauty of the island and the exceptional hospitality of Spyros. Efharisto' pol Spyros!

Stunning

Spyros villa is located in a very, very quiet part of Kefalonia. The views are stunning and the pace and quiet are idylllic. The house was perfect for my family with our 2 small children, though obviously you need to be vigilant around the pool. Yes, the pool, it is beautiful, the water is the cleanest I have ever seen in a pool, and with no chlorine! The best thing about Spyros villa? It's Spyros! he is, like all Kefalonians, a lovely gentleman, so very very friendly. He lives in a caravan at the end of the drive way but he never intrudes on your privacy. Except when he brings you fresh eggs from his own chickens or home cooked delights like he did for us at least 5 times in our 2 week stay! On arrival he presented us with a moussaka, and he brought us many more delicious Kefalonian recipies, including a massive dish of stuffed peppers which were simply stunning. His hospitality is amazing, a wonderful host and therefore I cannot recommend Spyros villa too much, the combination of the location of the villa, the beautiful wild flowers everywhere with butterflies all around, the lovely pool, the quiet nights and amazing skies and of course Spyros and his generosity made our holiday one we shall never forget.

Stunning villa in a beautiful quiet location

We had a wonderful holiday at this stylish, clean and comfortable villa. It has an amazing swimming pool that we all loved and such lovely sunset views. Spyros,as other reviewers have said, was so generous and helpful. He cooked some lovely dishes and made us all feel very welcome. The beaches nearby are quiet and fantastic for snorkelling. There are also plenty of local tavernas at hand. We wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you.

Nicely appointed villa with an incredible host!

Spyros is a one off - the most generous and welcoming of hosts. He takes a great interest in your holiday to ensure you have a great time. Spyros lives close by, just the other side of his small farm. He recommended the best beaches and sights to see. The area is very rural and not over commercialised. Fiskardo is a beautiful, harbour town about 10 minutes drive. But nearby there are secluded coves with tavernas, and you can easily try a different beach every day. Ask Spyros for recommendations based on wind direction etc. The acid test - would we go back? YES. We were 2 adults plus 2 teenagers.

Great villa and host

Spyros villa is located in a relatively rural location in Northern Kefalonia within a short drive to a number of beaches to the north, east and west. It has wonderful views to the sea and west coast with beautiful sun sets. The pool is wonderful and our kids loved spending hours jumping in and out, there are no immediate neighbours to disturb. The pool is spotlessly clean thanks to Spyros who cleans it every morning ( long before we were wake). The villa is well equipped and very clean with terracotta terraces all around. The clear night skies put on a great display of stars most nights. It is about 10 mins drive to Fiscardo with its lovely picturesque harbour and a wide range of good restaurants operating day and night. This is a really nice part of Greece and the pebbly beaches are mostly in beautiful coves with crystal clear warm calm water - great for snorkelling. Most have tavernas nearby or just behind the beach. We'd particularly recommend the taverna at agia Jerusalem for lunch - very genuinely Greek with great local food Spyros who is a born and bred Kefalonian lives nearby and was a wonderful host, he is very friendly and made sure we were well looked after. He was kind enough to take us out on his sailing boat to Ithaca for the day and regularly treated us to Kefalonian specialities as well as treats like cheesecake that the kids absolutely loved - he is a quite amazing chef and much of his ingredients come from his small holding near the village, there is no shortage of fresh eggs. We spent two weeks during summer 14 at spyros Vila and had a really great holiday with wonderful memories.

Hi spyros. Have had a lovely time at your villa. Beautiful views, amazing villa and yummy food. The area is fantastic although very quiet. The food which you cooked for us we loved and are using the recipe at home. The villa itself is set out lovely and was clean and tidy. The swimming pool was cleaned daily and we enjoyed most days in there. Amazing place and amazing value for money thank you spyros

One of the very best holidays

A truly great stay in Kefalonia -Spiros our host has become a friend over the years and we continue to talk and visit him whenever we can. His hospitality is boundless -food,drink ,fresh produce every morning The villa is beautifully located close to beaches-however there are days when you won't want to leave the pool. The villa has everything you need -even a wi fi connection! Totally recommended-thank you Spyros

We visited the villa in August 2020 and we fell in love with the peaceful location, fantastic views with all amenities within a short drive away. In fact we loved it so much we approached the owner Spyros and bought the villa.

We are in the process of refurbishing the villa and this will be completed by the spring 2021.

We are a family of four and live in Bath in the UK.

We came over at the end of October and the sea was still warm enough for us all to swim. Visiting out of season also gives you the opportunity to explore the island on foot as the island is renowned for its great walking holidays.
