The Palms at Wailea
The Palms at Wailea is a secure resort community of 150 units on 16.7 acres, with 23 two-story buildings. The ground- and second-floor apartments each have individual lanais and entries. Built in a Mediterranean style, each apartment has an individual entry and is separated from the others by variations in height and angle. The grounds provide many apartments with a view of the Pacific, while the remaining apartments have garden areas with an abundance of palms.

The spacious two- and three-story units have full kitchens, individual washer and dryers, and free cable TV. Property amenities include barbecue and recreation areas, a swimming pool, a hot tub and a clubhouse.

5 Star review: Very clean and fully stocked with amenities. The property has a wonderful view almost with very close and convenient parking. Highly recommend.


NOTE: The wonderful remodel in kitchen and both bath rooms. A wonderful update to an already remodeled condo. Large walk in glass enclosed shower in master bedroom. New granite replacing all current granite and new vanities. New decor and design. . The amazing lanai is so large with BBQ Grill seating for six, and additional sunning area. Lanai overlooks gardens and green space with lovely sunsets over the ocean. We fully enclosed the guest bedroom - unlike most other condos that still have the sliding louver doors.. 5 Stars: from a guest: The unit was perfect for the 6 of us and in a great location for all that we did. The large lanai was really nice and extra space for us to use.

Overall, a good and comfortable stay though the "ocean view" was very limited (through the neighboring Monkeypod trees). Some updating needed (repair dryer door, new beach chairs, replacement utensils, etc.). The community of Palms is nicely maintained with a great pool.

Check-in process was easy — you just need to know the code for the lock. We stayed at the end of July, and it was hot during the day, but the condo has air conditioning in each room, which keeps it cool and comfortable.The kitchen has everything you need, even a thermometer for grilling meat. The condo also includes a lot of beach gear — chairs, towels, a cover, umbrella, children's toys, and small paddle boards.The host was very responsive and answered all our questions and concerns quickly.The condo is also not far from the beach — you can walk to the nearest one.

This is our 2nd visit to The Palms #504 in Wailea. Great location. Love lanai. Unit is outfitted with mostly everything you need for a stay home away from home. Bonnie was super responsive when we needed help with an issue in the unit too.

We live in Pebble Beach, CA, have two grown children and 4 grandchildren. We are all scuba divers (three generations) thus the wonderful waters of Maui have always been a love for us. Terry and Bonnie Alfriend have been coming to Maui for many years and in 2005 purchased their first condo in Kihei. Terry was working on research projects at The Technical Park in Kihei. Since that time they have added 2 condos in The Palms at Wailea. They also own two condos in the World Famous Sandpearl Resort and Spa in Clearwater Beach, FL, all of which are rented out as vacation rentals. Bonnie has a business background in real property and builder consulting so she enjoys renting and managing and remodeling the properties with the finest of decor and amenities.

Why they chose this property

After searching for many months we choose The Palms at Wailea because they have the best potential for remodel. The complex was built using the most advance design making a total renovation much better than the neighboring communities. Also the stucco exterior is more appealing and has better life than the wooden buildings near by. Wailea and Makena are the most prestigious communities in Maui and the most desirable due to the world class golf courses, the many amazing beaches and the newest of all communities in Wailea. The traffic is not congested as the northwest side. All in all the best place on the island in our opinion.

What makes this property unique

Wailea is the most beautiful part of the island. The wind is not strong and the rains are less giving your aloha vacation more time at the beach to enjoy the Paradise of the the spectacular island of Maui.

The Palms at Wailea is the most upscale and beautiful complex in the area. We love the quiet of Wailea with less traffic Close to airport and everything. The North side is far too congested and very old at this time. We love the freshness and newness of Wailea.
