Wir waren zum zweiten Mal dort und wieder sehr zufrieden. check-in war unkompliziert. Die Lage ist ruhig. Die Küche komplett ausgestattet. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen.Der Pool, super und unser Hund konnte frei laufen. Leider haben uns die Brände in der Region etwas verunsichert, aber die Ansprechpartner vor Ort konnten uns "beruhigen". Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war wieder top. Wir würden die Bilder im Portal aktualisieren, weil der Garten wirklich schön gewachsen ist.

Ländlich und ruhig, 100% zufrieden

Das Haus ist über einen Feldweg zu erreichen (geht), nahe dem Dorfkern in den Weinbergen. Der Garten um das Haus sieht viel besser aus, als auf den Bildern. Alles ist dicht zugewachsen (vllt neue Bilder?). Der Garten ist komplett umzäunt, gut für unseren Hund. Das Haus ist voll ausgestattet. Da wir uns selber versorgt haben, sehr gut. Neben dem Haus sogar ein grosser Grillplatz und ein separater Grill. Der Pool und die Lounge sehr schön. Es sind genug Liegen vorhanden. Es gibt eine Bouleplatz. Die Hausübergabe und Abreise, sowie die Poolreinigung liefen ohne Probleme ab. Vielen Dank an Jeanne. Bei den Haus ist zu beachten, dass man auf jeden Fall ein Auto zum einkaufen benötigt. Kleiner Supermarkt ca. 15-20 min und grosse oder Discounter 35-40 min. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Propriété très agreable

Maison très fonctionnelle. Nous sommes venu à 2 familles dont 3 enfants de 10 à 15ans. Le jardin est très agréable et nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances. Un gros bonus pour le coin patio pour l'apero, très cosy. Quelques remarques pour améliorer le confort: Les joints des carreaux extérieurs mériteraient d'être refait. La literie du lit en 140 est un peu mou comme le lit 1 place mais ça reste confortable. Nous n'avons pas pu utiliser la télé celle-ci ne voulait pas s'allumer mais pas trop grave. La lumière de la piscine ne fonctionnait pas. Mis à part ces quelques remarques, je recommande ce gîte pour ceux qui cherchent du repos et de beaux paysages.

Really nice villa, much more reasonably priced that your average three bed with a pool! What could be improved; larger beds and better mattresses and a little TlC in the garden, (weeding by poolside and on petanque area).

La maison est fonctionnelle, agréable, propre, avec beaucoup de rangements en particulier dans la cuisine, avec tout ce qu’il faut pour cuisiner. La douche fonctionne bien, le jardin est grand avec une belle piscine,qui était la bienvenue avec cet été de canicule et bien entretenue, un boulodrome que nous avons beaucoup utilisé et la lavande un peu partout qui sentait bon la Provence ! La propriété est bien située pour découvrir la région et l’endroit calme. Le hic fut l’odeur de chien lorsque nous sommes arrivés, qui s’est légèrement estompé avec le temps car dès que la chaleur étaient moins forte, nous aérions au maximum. Il y avait aussi l’odeur d’urine de chat mâle dans les toilettes. Nous supposons qu’il y a eu des locataires qui ont mis la litière de leur chat dans les wc et qu’il y a eu des éclaboussures sur le bas du mur. Nous avons nous mêmes chien et chat chez nous mais notre maison ne sent pas comme ça. Ce chien ne doit être souvent lavé... Bref à part ce problème d’odeur, la maison était très bien.

Lovely relaxing holiday

We arrived home yesterday after a fantastic two weeks in this lovely villa in the Corbiere Hills. The villa is set in a rural village, reached by some narrow roads with beautiful views. The location was ideal for us as we were looking for a relaxing holiday spent around a pool with some day trips to the coast and surrounding countryside. The inside of the villa was lovely. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. The shower was powerful, just what we needed after a day by the sea or pool. The garden is, as it says in the description, still quite new. The patio, pool and seating area were lovely. The main part of the garden is still a work in progress, but my children enjoyed "going on an adventure" where they walked around the stubbly grass. Although there are no shops in the village we enjoyed walking around, our children enjoyed looking for the donkeys at the entrance to the village each time we left the villa. The communications from the owner before we went were fantastic, lots of advice about where to visit, places to buy wine and eat etc.

We are a Polish-British couple living and working in the UK, France and Poland. We have two gorgeous Golden Retrievers, accompanying us wherever we go. We had spent many great holidays in France before we decided to settle in Embres-Et-Castelmaure.
Having explored France we fell in love with the Corbieres hills. We found the smell of the garrigue intoxicating and we love the sun of Languedoc and the Tramontane - a wind that brings a relief on particularly hot days.

Why they chose this property

The property is ideal for those who enjoy a rural French ambiance, lazy summer barbecues and peace, for those who want to experience the real France.
But if you fell like visiting places that do not offer this level of peace, get in your car and drive to the coast (only 30 min away).
