Basement space 1200 square feet, built in the 1920s. Separate entrance near rear of the house. Keyless entry down steep set of stairs. Three bedrooms, all with closets. Two of the rooms have queen size beds and the third room has two twin beds. Clean linens and towels provided. Three stand up fans and a window A/C unit. Two full bathrooms. The second bathroom installed February 2017. Shampoo, body soap gel and hair dryer provided. Full dine in kitchen with all your cooking needs. Coffee and tea provided. Living room has a office desk, reclining sofa and table. High speed WIFI. TV has cable, premium channels, on demand and Netflix. Washer and dryer inside closet off the hallway, and laundry space in hallway iron and ironing board. Laundry detergent provided. We ask on departure that the guest run the dishwasher, run used towels in washer and to take out garbage. This helps with a lower cost from the cleaning service that comes. We have two parking passes for free parking out on the street . It's Salt Lake City parking permit area 4, this zone is roughly from 100 South to 500 south and from 1200 East to 1300 East. Not a great stay
The things this place has going for it are some nice antiques and retro furniture and a fun funky style. The couch is super comfy. The beds are good and the linens are top quality. It was pretty clean where it mattered. The owner is fantastic with quickly responding to any problems. Overall it’s a great price too.
The downside is the house is split into two rental units and this is the downstairs unit. I had read the stairs were steep (duck your head) and the floors uneven and about the noise from above. It’s an old house so some things are expected. I had hoped the recent addition of the extra insulation would have helped with the noise, but unfortunately it did not. I do not know if the people upstairs could hear us as clearly as we could hear them but it was as if they were right there with us. Luckily I had earplugs and white noise and a fan or I would never have been able to sleep. It was not just the noise of the floors, but just them having fun. Still it was way past the quiet hours every night. So if you rent out the whole house with your family and friends it would be marvelous. Or if you are very hard of hearing or are used to sharing living space with very thin walls go for it.
Clean and simple, but upstairs tenants made it hard to sleep
It is a simple and clean apartment. I had problems sleeping because the tenants upstairs were walking around, even till 2:30 in the morning, on multiple nights. I am a light sleeper though. The kids slept through it just fine.

Very clean and well appointed
Overall we very much enjoyed our stay....very clean....beds very comfortable and the kitchen nicely organized with everything you need......the only drawback was that you can hear the tenants above you....both mornings they were up very early and we could hear them walking around.

Quiet and friendly neighborhood. One of the historic areas of Salt Lake, take a walk around and enjoy the unique homes. Neighborhood festivities (Porchfest, Avenues Street Fair, Farmer Market, Art Festivals) Plenty of places to visit within walking distance: The University of Utah (museums, concerts, theatre, sporting events), public parks, coffee shops, restaurants (pizza, burgers, Greek, Vietnamese). Getting around rail TRAX 0.8 miles to University Stadium station. UTA bus stop across the street. UBER and TAXI. Utah Transit Authority website for bus and light rail travel Fast food on along 400 south around 700 east and Whole Food supermarket. Five minute drive to downtown. Eight ski resorts in less then an hour away. Ski bus services to Park City, Big and Little Cottonwood. Park City thirty minute drive.
