Really cosy, comfy cottage in a great location. Beer is beautiful
The cottage is a lovely cosy base for exploring the local area. We stayed 3 nights & it was very comfortable & in a great location up the hill with everything you need for staying in Beer. Didn’t cook, can recommend fish & chips & pizza. If you don’t mind a few steps, walk to Seaton, the views are amazing & Sidmouth worth a visit. A must do is a cuppa in the beach cafe at sunset
Lovely spacious cottage
The cottage was lovely very spacious and had everything you needed. The beach is literally a 4 minute walk and is beautiful as is the village of Beer. Look forward to our next visit.
We had a fab time.
The cottage was perfect, and only a couple of minutes stroll to all village amenities. Beer is small but beautiful.
Delighted you enjoyed your stay and it would be a pleasure to welcome you back. This year to improve guest comfort we plan to replace the patio furniture (july) and replace the double bed in the master bedroom with a king size bed.
Lovely cottage in sweet little coastal village
Three double bedrooms, large lounge and kitchen. Very short walk to the centre. Really enjoyed our stay. Definitely come again
Lovely cottage in a great location
We have had a wonderful week staying at Beachcomber Cottage . The cottage is in a great location, so handy for the shops , restaurants and beach .
The garden is a bonus and a real sun trap as is the bench outside the front door in the evening . The garden is enclosed so if you have a dog , it is safe .
It is an excellent location for accessing the beautiful coastal path and we managed to walk different parts of it along the coast each day .
The cottage is clean , spacious and well equipped. It is cosy and comfortable . The welcome tray on arrival is a lovely touch .
We would love to return!
Thank you for your lovely review and I am delighted you had a great time. Many guests do return year on year and it would be a great pleasure to welcome you back!
cosy cottage in secluded location near beach
We had a fantastic week in beachcomber cottage. Perfect location on elevated private path set above main street but within just a few minutes walk of beach and its cafes. The cottage is cosy yet spacious, very nicely decorated and well equipped. We loved having our own private garden and an alternative seat just outside the door to sit in evening with glass of wine looking across at church and village below. 2nd loo downstairs nice to have too! would highly recommend especially if you want a quieter place that is still near shops, cafes and pubs (try osbornes wine bar - very friendly staff) thanks for fabulous week!
Thank you so much for taking the time to review the cottage. Beer seems to have a micro climate and the weather often seems so good there! We like Osbournes too, particularly good for Tapas. Beer has a good choice of restaurants, pubs, tearooms and beach cafes within a few minutes stroll where you can enjoy good devon produce or takeaway a fish and chips or pizza supper.
Special interest holidays:
Wide range of food, fishing, cooking and foraging courses at nearby River Cottage Park Farm,in Axminster or at Hix Lyme Regis.

Beer captured our hearts and imaginations over 30 years ago and we have been regular visitors ever since. This picture postcard fishing village with a gurgling stream dancing along the main street to the beach, is snuggled in the rolling hills in East Devon's beautiful coastal scenery and drips nostalgia.
The horseshoe beach is the heart of the village, a natural suntrap surrounded by glistening white cliffs. It has clean waters, rock pools to explore at low tide, beach huts, and cafes
Exeter Airport is 17 miles away. Bristol Airport is 65 miles away. Weymouth ferry port is 36 miles away. There is a regular coastal bus service from Beer to Exeter and Weymouth. Axminster has the nearest railway station, eight miles away.
Beer village is just a minutes stroll. it has a good range of shops, pubs tearooms and cafes. The small town of Seaton is five minutes drive. Lyme Regis and Sidmouth are eight miles away,
Beer is famous for it's lace, stone and smuggling and is an ideal resort for families, couples and friends getting together. Enjoy the beach cafes, a fishing trip, a stroll along the coastal footpath or a devon cream tea! Visit Pecorama or the Beer Quarry Caves or the regency towns of Lyme Regis or Sidmouth. The City of Exeter just a 40 minute drive. The Beer cliffs form part of the South Devon coastal footpath and this area of the coast is a World Heritage Site due to the important fossils found here
