Comfortable and well equipped ski chalet in the beautiful hamlet of Bas Thex, a 10 minute 6km drive from Morzine and lift access into the Portes du Soleil ski area. This lovely self catered chalet is nicely furnished and designed to cater for 8 with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a large open plan living area and kitchen. Parking space. It is located in a peaceful hamlet with access to mountain walks and to St Jean D'Aulps and Morzine. The whole of the Portes du Soleil ski region is in easy reach.
There are 3 bathrooms and 4 WC .
Balconies to the living area and also to the top 2 bedrooms have their own balcony . Lovely south facing views .
Small terrace with outdoor seating and dining table with views to valley from the dining /kitchen area.
Very well equipped kitchen , home from home for us .
Sunday changeover in February, otherwise flexible.

Lovely Stay in St Jean

Well laid out chalet that had everything we needed including a lovely fireplace. Bedrooms are all a decent size and plenty of bathrooms made life easy when there were few of us staying. Would recommend if anyone was looking to stay in the area.

Fantastic stay

Comfortable stay in this charming chalet in a beautiful and quiet location only 15-20 minutes drive from all the nearby lifts. Well equipped kitchen for self-catering, good showers and comfortable beds. Can highly recommend.

A lovely stay in a lovely chalet

A very pretty chalet in a rustic French village. Nice spacious living area with open fire and well kitted out kitchen. All bedrooms are stylishly decorated and the beds are extremely comfortable!

This is an absolutely amazing chalet! A true home from home with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect for Morzine and Les Gets while being very quiet and out of the way for those who prefer a quieter holiday. We’ve spend our time doing loads of mountain biking and hiking and have had a truly brilliant holiday. We can’t wait to return to this Chalet.

We hadden een superfijn verblijf. Het contact met de eigenaar was zeer plezierig en gastvrij. Het huis is ruim met de 4 grote slaapkamers, voldoende sanitair (3 badkamers met toilet en apart toilet). Eigen parkeerplek voor meerdere auto's, 1 overdekt. Het huis is meer dan compleet qua keukenapparatuur en uitrusting. Reistijd naar de lift van Ardent ongeveer 20 minuten. Volgende keer weer!

Chalet très spacieux et confortable qui nous a permis de vivre de très bons moments en famille mais aussi de trouver du calme quand nous en avions besoin. L'été, en raison de l'altitude nous n'avons pas souffert de la chaleur. Terrasse agréable. Et les enfants ont pu approfondir leur anglais car les chaînes de télévision sont en anglais. Una bellissima settimana

Siamo stati nello chalet di Vicky per una settimana e la casa è veramente bellissima. E' spaziosa, ben organizzata, calda, accogliente e con dei letti comodissimi. La posizione della casa a noi è piaciuta tanto, a pochi km da Morzine e dalle piste da sci. E' consigliato avere la macchina per muoversi in totale libertà. Unico consiglio che posso dare a Vicky è di fare maggiore attenzione alla pulizia negli angoli più nascosti, come dietro la tv o vicino ai divani, per il resto tutto perfetto e assolutamente consigliato! Grazie Vicky per la tua disponibilità e gentilezza.

Le chalet est très sympa et dispose de toutes les commodites. Le seul petit reproche c’est le manque de lumière, les éclairages pour le soir sont tamisés. sinon la literie est confortable, il y a une ferme à moins d’un kilomètre, pour assister à la traite et acheter de bons produits laitiers. Les photos ne sont pas fidèles à l’annonce: le chalet est encore mieux en vrai! Très chaleureux, hyper bien équipé, literie agréable, plusieurs salle de bain, vraiment, rien à dire! Nous recommandons vivement, même avec des enfants en bas âge. Ce n’est pas indiqué mais il y a un lit bébé (nous avions pris le nôtre). Chalet à proximité immédiate des pistes (10 minutes de Roc d’enfer, 15 minutes des œufs pour Avoriaz). La communication avec Vicky ainsi que la personne en charge de la location sur place était très fluide. Nous reviendrons volontiers.

Vraiment parfait au juste prix!

Idéal pour une grande famille avec ses trois salles de bains et ses 4 WC. Propre et très bien entretenu, calme et super cosy avec des lits super confortables et 7 paires de raquettes à neige + bâtons fournis! Il y a aussi de belles ballades à pied depuis le chalet!

Chalet située dans un environnement calme, avec tout le confort nécessaire pour un séjour familial réussi : promenades à pieds, autour du chalet mais aussi autour du lac de Montriond, dans Morzine..., feu de cheminée et jeux de société en famille étaient au programme de notre séjour, les stations de ski étant fermées en raison de la pandémie.

We have a small property company in the UK and have several years experience of letting property both home and abroad. My architect husband has now retired and we live in Lymington , Hampshire. We have 2 grown up sons and labrador.

Why they chose this property

We chose this lovely chalet having searched around the Morzine area , because we liked the delightful hamlet of Bas Thex. Very importantly for Morzine we are on the sunny side of the valley, as we discovered that the other side is in shade quite a lot of the day. We have wonderful views from the balconies and we are very close to St Jean which is a 10 minute walk, Morzine is a 10 minutes in a car. The rooms are spacious and the chalet has a lot of natural light . it is a traditional design and is well located for ski-ing, mountain biking, walking,rafting and many other activities.

What makes this property unique

The chalet is in a very pretty quiet hamlet with lovely views from the south facing balconies. It is a bonus in the Morzine valley to be on the sunny side ! We are ideally located for exploring the various ski areas, you do need a car to get to the station but the advantage is that one can get to several places easily and vary the skiing .Les Gets, Avoriaz, Morzine, are all accessible as is the whole of the Portes du Soleil region.
In the Spring and Summer there are wonderful walks in the area and we are within easy reach of many of the mountain bike trails and mountain treks.
