Thanks Zoe for your review, yes its a lovely Victorian Cornish cottage for sure, we had a new roof last year, new wooden sash windows and painted through out (we're yet to see the results but are heading down in a week for our holiday). We hope to welcome you again in the future.

Thanks Alison for your kind words, we’re glad you were able to support our local pub, Nigel and Will are absolute stars. The extra room up the hill from Mousehole harbour really helps when you want parking, a garden and dog exercise areas.

Thanks for the review. We recently changed cleaners over the winter since our long standing cleaner retired suddenly. We have worked with our awesome new cleaners to ensure their standards and ours are aligned. Please don't let the pet friendly property put you off in future. The Kings Arms are so kind, repeatedly accommodating of our guests, top tip is to ring though an order as you are on the A30 and they'll ensure its prepared before the chef leaves so as to not leave you hungry, I normally line up some cheesy chips and a pint of tribute for my arrival to the village. (Ha ha)

We were unfortunate that the ceiling plaster was disturbed during the week before you arrived (and I assume the TV connection / reception also) and unfortunately we were not notified of this until the cleaner arrived the morning of your arrival. We have a plasterer going into fix the missing top coat this week. I will let the cleaner know about the shower draining slow as this should not be the case as we have a turbo flow outlet fitted therefore it must be clogged. (Thanks for letting us know as we rely on guest's notifying us to ensure things are tip top as we are not able to stay ourselves until late summer due to the popularity of our lovely cottage) We look forward to welcoming you again soon at Pedn Brose

Thanks Steve we were very upset about the condition, I would have loved to have come and done the garden and checked the house was up to our personal standards but as you say the lockdown was only just lifted. We rely on people on the ground in Cornwall but we’re obviously let down by their standards. The house is now in lovely condition, new kitchen, decorating, and a regular gardener to ensure the excessive growth is kept neat and tidy, etc. Thanks again for your understanding and we would love to see you again.

Thanks for your kind comments, the cottage is definitely our second home and we are sad to leave every time. We’d love you to come again, hopefully when the covid measures and numbers decline we’ll move the check out time back to a more reasonable time but at the moment the cleaners require us to have an “airing period” between guests leaving and them coming into clean.

We’re so happy you had a lovely week there, the house is looking good after a new kitchen (not that the pre-flood kitchen was bad) makeover thanks.
