Spotless, well maintained property with lovely hosts. An excellent cottage to base yourself for exploration of the area.Close to the M6 but you don't notice it. Will deffo use again sometime.

Lovely and clean, very cosy and convenient when going hiking in the lakes. Friendly animals and plenty of public footpaths around for a nice stroll. Really enjoyed playing near the beck at the bottom of the road.

Es war genau die Unterkunft, die wir uns gewünscht und zum entspannen gebraucht haben. Sie liegt in einer wundervollen Gegend von England am Rande des Lake-District. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und gingen umgehend auf alle unsere Wünsche ein. An einem Tag kam sogar der Hufschmied vorbei und wir durften ihm alle über die Schulter schauen, als er sich um die beiden Ponys vom Hof gekümmert hat. Es war wundervoll und wir sagen nochmals danke.

Excellent!

The property was amazing, especially if you’re an animal lover. The views were brilliant. The accommodation was lovely and well maintained.The hosts were friendly and attentive. Great location to use as a base for the Lake District.

Our third trip to Tebay !

Another lovely stay in Tebay. Always good to return to this warm and comfortable accommodation. It is as described , very quiet and very good value for money. We love the location and chance to unwind as a family. Thank you for your hospitality. I did need to clean some crockery and surfaces in the kitchen which is likely an oversight and did not detract from our stay. We look forward to returning again at some point soon.

Perfect place for us

Graham and Sue are so nice, the accommodation is perfect for us, we go with 3 dogs and are always amazed at how spotlessly clean it is. Comfortable and welcoming, has everything you could need and really convenient location for getting around as 15 mins from motorway, but still so peaceful and beautiful with fields and sheep on the doorstep.

Wonderful experience and stay

This property is well located if you follow the directions provided by the host. The cottage is excellent, very clean, spacious and properly heated and well ventilated.We just loved it and we are coming back in couple of months to stay again and that sums it all. We met the host while leaving along with mickey the dog and they are very nice people.

All as described, only issue was the shower not working. Very convenient for our Mountain Rescue Team course at Lyon Equipment in Tebay.

Ideal isolated location

Daw Bank Cottage was a spacious, comfortable, clean, warm and well appointed rental property. The owners, were resident next door, always available and very friendly. Parking was available for two vehicles but we only needed one space. The location was on the extreme eastern edge of the national park away from the heavily tourised areas and was, therefore, quiet with a bucolic, working countryside atmosphere. A vehicle is essential. Nevertheless, the location was very convenient for us being fairly close to the M6 motorway with easy access to reach Penrith, Kendal and the Yorkshire Dales in half an hour each, without any traffic hold-up. For those who appreciate the benefits of an out-of-the-way location this place is ideal.

A great stay.

We had a lovely time in the cottage which was ideal. Really lovely owners who were attentive and very friendly. The cottage was amazing, and had immense views of the surrounding landscspe. Will be back again!

Nice relaxing stay in the country

We stayed here so we could visit the Yorkshire Dales area. The area is near some sheep farms. The area is extremely pretty. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. All amenities worked great. The place doesn’t have WiFi, but does have cell service in case that matters for you.

A perfect country stay

Our time in this property was excellent. Beautiful surroundings, genial and helpful hosts, a delightful resident dog, and accommodation that was perfect in every way - warm, comfortable, well-supplied. We have already recommended it to friends as the ideal country getaway. All the rooms are well-appointed and spacious, with glorious views from every window. It exceeded our expectations and we will definitely stay there again if we return to the UK.

Perfect for us

Great location, in a secluded area. We stayed here for 2 nights, using the property as a base to explore some of the stunning Lake District. It's nestled away, so nice and quiet. The property itself was clean, warm and cosy.

Amazing location

We've been married for over 45 years and we've lived here since 1983. Graham based his heavy goods transport business here and we stocked the small holding with sheep, cattle, ducks and hens. During that time we've also done various other things apart from farming--from making horse harness and teaching carriage driving, to lecturing in computing. I now manage web sites, and write, and Graham looks after the cottage. Our children are grown-up and have their own families now, but we still have our dog Micky Wippitt, cat Sooty, Fell pony Ruby and Dales pony Eric. The farm is grass-let to neighbours who graze sheep on our fields.
