We are very disappointed with this review given that all of our reviews (with the exception of one) are extremely positive. No other guests have complained about the facilities offered and on the contrary have been extremely complimentary about the house and the garden. The kitchen door was broken by previous guests and was fixed within 24 hours and the water problem was not a problem with the house but the whole Montgo, Javea area and was fixed by the Water Board very quickly. Our cleaners have never let us down before and claim the villa and garden were left in perfect condition, a state that was not reached by your group of guests when they checked out as the house required 7 additional hours of cleaning as well as multiple breakages.

We are surprised and very disappointed with your feedback and have immediately spoken to the cleaning company, the gardener and our villa manager (all three of which we know very well) and they are all equally baffled. Lisa (villa manager) confirms there was a big storm in Javea around the time of your arrival but assures me the debris on the garden was cleared up within 24 hours and the cleaning company come back on the day of your arrival as you did alert her you were unhappy with the cleanness of the kitchen floor. Both issues were address immediately. Coincidentally to the timing of your review we have just returned from a weeks family visit over half term (last week). We did disappointingly find two of the umbrellas around the pool to be broken (still very usable but both had one broken spoke). These were all new at the beginning of this season but if guests leave them open they can get damaged in the wind however we couldn't see any of your other issues you are now referring to. Also I am not sure who told you 16 cleaners visit the property, it certainly wasn't us (it is a huge property hence we have a team of 4 ladies that work from 10 to 4pm to clean the entire property) The property was one of the very first built on the Montgo (hence its special location) so is 50 years old but we have spend a tremendous amount time, money and effort (we feel) tastefully modernising all rooms with new furniture, 6 new bathrooms, new sets of very expensive outside furniture etc so fail to see how it could be described as "tired" We are very confident the villa description and pictures accurately represent (if anything down play) the property both inside and out and are at a loss to understand this very unusual review. We have one of the busiest villas in the area of Javea (typically with between 15 and 20 different visiting groups per year, more than half usually being returning guests) and this is the first negative feedback we have had since owning the property in over 4 years (as seen by all other guests feedback)
