Great stay and location

  • 4 of 5

The house was lovely and well equipped , the stairs were a workout , unfortunately the sofas were uncomfortable and the washing machine was left with dark black hairs which looked like a dogs bedding had been washed and dried in so l was unable to use it and the neighbour was having renovations and the drilling and banging continued all week and started at 8am until 6ish. Having said that we had a great week and Chris was very helpful before and during our stay.

Owner's Response: Many thanks for your comments. It was really unfortunate about the building works in the next door property. If I had known that it was causing a nuisance I would have contacted the builders. I understand the work has now been completed. Thank you for bringing to my attention the issue with the washing machine. Obviously this should have been checked and cleaned by the housekeeper prior to arrival. However, we did do a midweek clean on the Monday of the stay and if the matter had been bought to the housekeeper's attention she would have dealt with it. I am sorry to hear that the sofas were found to be uncomfortable, nobody has ever commented before. If you have a moment to let me know if it was all the sofas or one in particular and I will take appropriate action. Apart from that I hope you enjoyed your stay and will come again.

Very pleasing.

  • 5 of 5

Four children and six adults spent a great weekend at Cliffhanger.

We took the opportunity to all climb onto the roof terrace for our night cap under the stars, great.

We realised that the dining room was better placed adjacent to the kitchen, but we did find the sitting room a little bit tucked away and

All in all a very acceptable stay.

Beautiful property. Very good location near sea and shops. Lots of space for the whole family.

  • 5 of 5

Excellently equipped. Appreciated the number of ensuite/ shower facilities. Also a choice of areas to sit and relax. Even board games and jigsaw puzzles were available to use.

It was nice to be able to walk to the centre of the town for shopping and also to the sea front. We probably would have taken advantage of the barbecue facilities provided, had it been a warmer time of year.

Car parking for a second vehicle was arranged in the street with a provided permit. Spaces were limited and although we did not have too much of a problem, we did wonder if there would be issues during the summer season.

The whole family had a great holiday and we would certainly be very happy to return to the property should we return to the IOW in the future.

Thank you for helping to make our holiday so memorable.
