2 Bedrooms – Sleeps 4. This is a ground floor harbour side apartment, located in the picturesque village of Roundstone, Connemara. Tastefully decorated with a coastal theme, the apartment boasts a relaxing seaside location while still being just a few steps from local shops, café's, bars, and restaurants. It is ideally suited to couples and friends. Roundstone harbour is on your doorstep, and the white sandy beaches of the world-famous Dogs Bay and Gurteen beaches are just 3km away. Enjoy leisurely walks and cycles at the nearby Connemara Greenway, which is accessible at Ballynahinch, or walk the nearby Inishnee Island loop walk. There are numerous trails and driving routes to explore in the region, including the well-known Roundstone Bog Road and along the Wild Atlantic Way. Sea fishing and boat tours are available locally, Kylemore Abbey and Connemara National Park are just a short drive away. Golf is available at the nearby Connemara Golf Links course at Ballyconneely. Roundstone village provides lots of places to eat and drink and its shops will supply you with everything you need for your self-catering holiday. Local activities include kayaking and paddleboarding, sea angling, lake, and river fishing, walking trails, hill walking, pony trekking, golf, boat trips and much more. This is an ideal location for exploring all that the Connemara region has to offer.

2 Bedrooms – Sleeps 4. All accommodation is on ground floor level and consists of open plan living and dining room, kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms, and utility room. The open plan living and dining area overlooks the harbour and is furnished with comfortable sofas, large smart TV, fireplace, and large dining area, perfect for hosting friends for a meal. The kitchen is well equipped with all necessary equipment and includes electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with icebox, electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster, and a washer/dryer. Bedroom 1 offers a super king bed and storage for guest's belongings. Bedroom 2 is a double room with storage. To the rear of the property is a utility and sunroom area with couch. This room also provides access to the rear yard, and access to the car park. The apartment has one bathroom with WC, sink and shower over bath and is tiled throughout. The property is electrically heated throughout. Bed linen and towels are provided. Electricity and heating included in rental price. Available for short breaks all year round. Highchair and travel cot available. One pet is welcome. No smoking indoors. Wi-fi is available. Off-street parking is available for one car. Additional public car parking is available within 100m.

Short comfy stay

A few if us stayed here for new years, really nice apartment with everything you could need, located in the town with pubs shops and restaurants within a 2 minute walk. Just what we were after for new years something different, quiet and we got the weather too!

Great location but the apartment needs a lot more TLC to make it an good setting for a holiday!!

We loved the location of this apartment and the view from the front window facing the bay!. However this apartment needs a lot more TLC to redeem itself as a perfect setting for a holiday. Unfortunately, for us, this apartment did not give us a home away from home feeling, instead, we felt like intruders in someone else's space! One of the main problems was that there is just too much of other people stuff in the apartment! If you are happy to pay for an apartment that feesl like you are invading someone else's place well this is the one for you! As we had travelled with a large group of friends we were able to compare thet standard of other holiday homes on offer in Roundstone and it was agreed by the other 25 friends that our apartment was not up to standard. Here is how we broke down the main issues - *Kitchenware - Every press was filled with someone else's stuff e.g food, excess amount of plates etc but not many bowls! The lack of space meant that we didn't have any presses to store our own items. *Dining area - The large dining table, which seated 10 people, in the open plan living area took up so much space . As the apartment could only sleep four we felt the extra large table was probably put into the apartment as a temporary storage solution. * Entire unit located on ground floor - Unfortunately the utility area/conservatory area at the back of the apartment was not an area that could be used in any capacity by us. * Bedrooms - The kingsized bed in bedroom one was too large for the size of the room it was in. It meant it was difficult to get into the bed - a standard double would probably be more suitable in this room and in the second bedroom the small double bed was also a tight fit for the room size and probably should have a single bed in it! This apartment has so much potential but our advice to potential bookers would be to wait until the owners invest some time and money into making this holiday apartment fit for purpose.

Absolutely perfect for 2 couples away for the weekend

We were delighted with our weekend Paddy's Day weekend in Roundstone in Apt 235. Lauren, who was looking after the handover of the apartment, was a dream to deal with. Super friendly over the phone and very accommodating. She made sure there was no feather/ down in the bedding which was much appreciated as I knew allergies weren't going to wreck the weekend. Our friend's small dog was allowed to stay with us too. The apartment was really warm and comfortable, which was very much appreciated when it was cold and rainy outside. The broadband was good and we enjoyed a night or two in watching movies on the massive. The fireplace also meant it was homely. We had a great view of the sea and mountains from the kitchen so we really enjoyed cooking and eating in too. The apartment couldn't be better located really. It's only paces away from O'Dowds café and the Coffee Cottage for breakfast and O'Dowds pub for lunch/dinner/ drinks. Great pub to sit outside on the wall and enjoy the view of the sea and mountains in the evening. You are smack bang in the middle of Roundstone village, so if you are prepared to go to the trouble of crossing the small village road, you have your choice of the other pubs and cafés, local shops etc. The shower was powerful with plenty of hot water for the four of us. There is a great coffee machine there, but it requires beans and a bit of figuring out, and you're never sure how long the water has been sitting in it or if it needs descaling. I'd suggest the owners buy a large size cafeteire / French press so that group can make coffee simply with ground coffee they buy in the local shops. In fairness, there's also a filter coffee machine that takes fine ground coffee, we just didn't have the right coffee grind. All round, absolutely ideal place for two couples.

Great holiday destination

Overall this apartment met all our needs, and the dog loved it. Bathroom could use an upgrade and could have been cleaner.

Idyllic Location

I spent three weeks at the apartment in November. The first thing you notice is the incredible view of the bay and islands from the front of the apartment! Absolutely stunning. The apartment itself is large and well equipped. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and everything you need to make a good meal. The living area is comfortable with a fireplace for those cold nights and a large TV to binge Netflix! The apartment is well located to explore Connemara. Laura, the local contact, made herself available and was very pleasant. I highly recommend a stay at the apartment.

Amazing virw

First impression was what a view! Once we had a look around the apartment we were very happy with the size and everything we needed was provided. Finding the car park was difficult but for future visitors turn right past O’Dowds up the hill and second right followed by first right (which looks like someone’s driveway!). The only other problem was the address.. there is no 245 as we found it is FLAT 2 Harbourview! Lauren the caretaker was really friendly and helpful and pointed us in the right direction and came to welcome us which was lovely. We had a wonderful stay and would happily book again.

New Years in Connemara

We were a group of four visiting for 5 nights over New Years. We have family in Roundstone so know the area well. The apartment was perfect for us and had everything we needed, including a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The open fire was a lovely bonus. It was easy to contact the caretaker to arrange key pick up - she left in under the mat and we did the same when we left. The location was great, Roundstone is small so you are never far from anywhere but the sea view was lovely (even from behind the scaffolding). The only criticism would be that the 'double' bed in the second bedroom was very small, not ideal for a couple. Other than that it was the perfect place to spend a few days, would definitely return!

Un petit coin de paradis

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet appartement bien équipé,spacieux et confortable. Il est idéalement situé à quelques mètres seulement du cœur de Roundstone et du O'Dowds pub. Les fenêtres donnent sur le port et une deuxième entrée offre un accès à un parking situé derrière l'immeuble. La literie est confortable.

Amazing Stay

We had an Amazing time at our accommodation in Roundstone. We stayed the June Bank Holiday weekend, we were booked at another location, which unfortunately was not to our standard and we were so lucky to find Terry.s office in Clifden. We explained our plight to Terry, explaining that we also had 2 dogs with us so we needed a pet-friendly accommodation. Within an hour Terry had sorted an Amazing residence in Roundstone, close to pubs shops and pet-friendly! Our host Maggie met us and couldn't have been nicer. Everything and more was included in the apartment, and the cleanliness was five-star quality. We had an amazing time and the location was perfect. We cant express our gratitude enough to Terry, he saved the weekend for us all! My partner nd I will definitely return and would urge anyone who is thinking of holidaying in the area to contact Love Connemara. AMAZING!!!
