Beautiful view, excellent location, comfortable beds, disappointing check-in, owners cloths in clos

My wife and I are in our 60s travelled to the 4th floor Quarteira unit with our 24 year old son. We were told to be at building at 4 pm and were kept waiting until 4:35 pm. Disappointing for any price point. Once in the 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment the beach view was beautiful, just like the photos. The master en suite also enjoyed patio access with a fantastic view. Parking in basement was very convenient with access to the elevator. The apartment was comfortably furnished and the beds were great. It caught us by surprise that there was no locked owners area and the owners clothes were hung in a closet and filled 1 drawer. The kitchen would have benefited with a coffee maker and 50% fewer pans. We enjoyed the convenience of the beachfront esplanade with its abundance of restaurants and cafes. The owners were pleasant to work with and the sunset view did not disappoint. We would stay here again for the nice space, location, and view.

Great location

The apartment was very clean and spacious which was great as we all felt like we had our own space. As it was located right on the beach front and we were close to everything and my 80 year old mother could stay on the balcony and see us on the beach. We did struggle to find the apartment as the building has no name and we were confused as to which block we were in. We were disappointed to find the air condition was a small free standing unit in one of the rooms. Having said that we managed with opening windows as there was a lovely breeze but then sometimes the noise from the streets were loud. Also, the bath/shower in en suite bathroom was out of bounds as some of the tiles had fallen off. The owner told us it was ok to use but we were concerned more tiles might fall off, so managed with just the one bath/shower and that was one shower between five of us. The location was great, usual shops and restaurants but found a great little bakery at the back of us, a little restaurant off the beaten track and a ticket seller for the local aqua parks. Everyone was friendly.. We used the apartment pool most days as my daughter found the sea temperature too cold, the pool was just right.
