Azay-le-Rideau treasure

Perfectly located to enjoy Azay-le-Rideau, meaning we could enjoy the restaurants, château and midnight market in under 10m walk. The property was spotless, and the large garden with hidden seating areas a joy!

Home from home

It’s as describe by Marc. Lovely house set within a beautiful garden. Walking distance to town - shops, restaurants and more. Easy rail access to Chinon and Tours. Easy driving to many Chateau…… Supermarket near by It feels like a home and we were very comfortable there for two weeks.

Big thumbs up!!

We had a very nice and relaxing stay. Great base for the many local attractions. Very easy 5 min walk down to Azay-le-Rideau town which has lots of excellent bars and restaurants. It was very nice to meet Marc who is a very friendly and welcoming gentleman. Highly recommend the property.

Wonderful Gite

We really enjoyed staying in this lovely Gite in green surrounding and an easy walk to Azay le Rideau....bit of a climb back!..Whole house beautifully equipped and comfortable.....Visited local chateaus and gardens and enjoyed good food at restaurants in the local town

A family home

This property is close to the centre of Azay le Rideau but secluded with lovely grounds. The terrace is beautifully green and sun-dappled. The owners Marc and Marie-Christine are charming and helpful. There is some traffic noise which we came to zone out. We were very happy here.

ruhig gelegenes, großes Ferienhaus mit riesigem Garten und wunderschöner Terrasse

Die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet, die Einbaugeräte waren allesamt hochwertig mit einem sehr großen Kühlschrank. Wir durften während unseres Aufenthaltes das anfallende Obst (kleine Erdbeeren) ernten. Einziges Manko war mit unserem großen Auto der Hof, der so konzipiert war, dass wir nur mit mehrmaligen Rangieren, das Auto gedreht bekommen haben. Ansonsten war oben in einem Zimmer das Dachfenster nicht mehr arretierbar, so dass es nach kurzer Zeit immer wieder runterging. Im unteren Bad war die Badewanne selbst zum Sitzen von 1,60 m Person zu klein, so dass diese schon die Knie anwinkeln mußte. Im oberen Bad kommen sehr korpulente Menschen kaum in die Dusche, da diese halbseitig abgemauert ist und man sich schon als 100 kg Mensch durchquetschen mußte. Kontakt zum Vermieter sehr freundlich und alles war sehr sauber. Steckdosen könnte das Objekt gerne mehr haben, wenn jeder Handy aufladen möchte.

Vacances en France

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances chez Marc. Sa maison de vacances est très jolie et très confortable. L'emplacement est parfait - proche du centre-ville, de ses restaurants et du grand château. Le jardin est très intéressant et la maison a tout pour passer un agréable séjour. Merci beaucoup Marc et Jean. Peut-être que nous reviendrons dans le futur...

Un petit paradis à Azay le Rideau

La maison est charmante, décorée avec goût et assure tout le confort moderne. La terrasse et le jardin offrent un écrin de verdure à 2 pas du centre. Marc nous a accueilli comme si nous étions des amis. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié ses conseils pour trouver les commerces et les restos qui ne sont pas des pièges à touristes. En résumé, une magnifique expérience.

A lovely comfortable well located place from which to relax or explore.

A real home from home with an outstanding garden set in a village which has everything you need within a easy walk. The hosts are very friendly and quick to reply to any queries. There are loads of lovely chateaus within a short drive of the village or the location is ideal as a central base from which to explore the entire Loire valley. For those who just want to relax in the garden and enjoy a glass of wine there are loads of separate areas from which you can catch a breeze and chill out. We loved the shaded terrace and enjoyed spending evenings on it relaxing, eating and just watching the world go by with a couple of friendly hens who also live in the garden!

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt

Ideal um die Region zu erkunden. Der Ort selbst ist auch eine touristische Attraktion. Das Haus ist toll ausgestattet. Der Garten ein Traum. Haben uns dort sehr gerne aufgehalten. Im Garten sind aus der Ferne Verkehrsgeräusche zu hören. Das hat uns nicht gestört. Die Gastgeber sind sehr zuverlässig und freundlich.

Un séjour inoubliable, dans un environnement de toute beauté

Chez Marc et Marie-Christine, nous nous sommes tout de suite sentis 'comme chez nous' dans cette maison très agréable et qui plus est super confortable. En outre, elle est entourée de verdure, avec une terrasse immense et un jardin fantastique qui a été le terrain de jeu préféré de nos 3 enfants. Un tout grand merci pour votre accueil et votre disponibilité. Les enfants et nous-mêmes en gardons un souvenir inoubliable!

Très bien

Très bon accueil du propriétaire (merci Marc) qui est très attentionné. La maison est très fonctionnelle et agréable à vivre. Le seul bémol est le bruit de la départementale toute proche. Nous avons cependant passé un très bon séjour.

Sehr zu empfehlen

Wir wurden sehr freundlich von den Eigentümern empfangen und uns wurde alles Wissenwerte rund um das Haus gezeigt. Der riesige Garten ist wunderschön angelegt, es gibt eine sehr große Terasse mit Blick ins Tal. Das Haus selbst ist sehr persönlich und zum Wohlfühlen eingerichtet. Da das Haus im Ort liegt, sind Bäcker und Metzger schnell zu Fuß erreicht. Ausflugsziele liegen en Masse in der Umgebung, so dass es uns nie langweilig wurde. Wir haben den Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen.

Fantastic

Marc and his wife are excellent hosts, ready to offer the maximum comfort to their guests. The house is very nice, spacious and comfortable. We truly felt at home. It is located just 5 minutes walk from the centre and the chateau of Azay le Rideau, and it feels like the French countryside. It has a huge garden where Marc and his wife cultivate fruits and vegetables that they offer to their guests. It is the perfect place to explore the region. I definitively recommend to stay at their place and I would definitively come back to stay at Marc’s place next time I visit this beautiful region. Marc e sua moglie sono persone squisite, molto accoglienti e disposti ad offrire il massimo del comfort. La loro casa e’ molto bella, spaziosa e confortevole. Noi ci siamo sentiti a casa. Si trova a cinque minuti a piedi dal centro di Azay le Rideau e dal suo Famoso castello. La casa ha un grande giardiano dove Marc e sua moglie coltivano diverse verdure che poi offrono ai loro ospiti. É il posto perfetto per visitare la regione. Raccomando la loro casa e personalmente spero di ritornare.

Très jolie maison avec un esprit très familial.
