There is also a ½ bath and a full bed in a corner away from the living room area. The second floor has two bedrooms and a full bath with claw foot tub with shower. The two-floor apartment has two bedrooms and one and a half baths, accommodating up to six guests. Central air keeps you comfortable in summer, and environmentalists will appreciate the solar heated water and eco-friendly products. Located close to biking and hiking trails, playgrounds and state parks (bike storage provided). 4 blocks to the bus or 20 minute walk to public transit, or drive and park to another metro in 10-15 minutes. All take you Boston’s historic sites, Tufts University and MIT. History buffs will delight. (Note: stairs to bedrooms are a little steep.) Off street parking for one car, must be reserved. No street parking.

We had a great time. Cool vibe staying in a firehouse
We had a great stay, the claw foot bathtub was cool but a little hard to get in and out of for older people and the stairs are really steep. I think that all of that was in the ad so we were aware. A really great stay.
We had a wonderful stay. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. The firehouse is clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. It is close enough to the subway to get into Boston easily.

I was fascinated by the building, and the owner is rightfully very proud of the incredible amount of work he has put into restoration. Nearly everything you see and touch is original or period correct, but at the same time many hidden elements are completely modern and efficient, like the heating/aircon and plumbing. There are surprising details everywhere, from the objects and art around the place to the details of the woodwork, much of which dates to the building's construction. We could drive to downtown Boston in 20-30 minutes or to the T in just a couple, or walk to many local Malden restaurants and parks. I don't know why anyone would stay in an expensive soulless high rise in the city when this is available.
An amazing experience. This refurbished chemical house had so much history, and the owners have done such a great job relaying for their guest.
Everything in the description was spot on. Easy walk to the metro (Not quite a mile) grocery store near by. Places to eat as well. We were met by Lisa upon arrival. She gave us a tour of the house which helped us to familiarize ourselves. We stayed for almost a week and would recommend to anyone visiting Boston.
The beds were comfortable. There is a bathroom on both levels. Kitchen is a big size. It also has AC for the hot summer days. (This was a huge plus since they were having a heat wave while we were there.)
A few more cooking spices would have been nice, really just salt and pepper on hand, a few more kitchen towels, and paper towels, needed too.
But over all, very comfortable, clean and charming.
Uber's were Also very easy to get to go to the airport. About 15 min ride once picked up.
Again, highly recommend.
Very unique find, definitely recommend!
Our family loved our time here. Owners met us at arrival and were easily available whenever needed or for questions. A lot of resources and suggestions provided for travelers unfamiliar with the area. All the comforts of home, including some kitchen supplies (like condiments) that are usually overlooked when traveling. Very charming and historic with lots of room for our family to spread out when everyone needed a little down time after sight seeing
Fantastic piece of history
Loved staying at the old fire house, it was well equipped and very comfortable. It is a little way out of Boston but found the commute via bus then the T from Maldon station or parking at Wellington station then getting the T very easy to do. The owners Jon and Lisa were a lovely couple who were at hand to ask questions if needed. Only downside for us was no washing machine but we managed.
