As you enter, you’ll see that huge dual-aspect picture windows capture the views from every angle both in the kitchen and spacious living/dining room where French doors lead out onto a ramp to the paved patio and beautifully kept gardens. With four bedrooms, the flexibility of sleeping arrangements is a great bonus and with level access to the property, throughout the ground floor, and a double room with an en-suite low-level shower unit, this cottage is suitable for most guests types. Three bedrooms, one with an en-suite, and a lovely family bathroom are on the ground floor and a second double with an en-suite and a bath is on the lower ground floor, with its own access to the enclosed garden. For storage of surfboards, bikes or beach equipment, ample space is provided in the garage.
A steep downhill stroll brings you to the picturesque quay and quaint village streets of Appledore, where pretty pastel colour fishermen's cottages line cobbled streets. For a small village, Appledore has plenty of restaurants and pubs, some of which have regular live music. The wide sandy beach of Westward Ho! (2.5 miles) is just a short drive away, perfect for families with small children or equally popular with avid surfers. The aforementioned Instow is just 5.5 miles away by car or, in the summer, you can hop on a passenger ferry from Appledore Quay. Instow has a range of pubs and restaurants, a shop/deli and a sandy beach, some of which is backed by dunes.
