Quayside Fishermans Cottage

Period two bedroom cottage set on quayside adjacent to all amenities in heart of a beautiful character port.
Both bedrooms, one a double the other a twin have been recently refurbished with quality furnishings.
The master has a kingsized bed, paintings by local artists, stunning views across the estuary at sunrise, flat screen tv and separate sky box from living room.
Downstairs there is separate living and dining rooms.
The living room has a wood burner, sky tv and sound system.
The kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster and breakfast bar.
The upstairs family bathroom has a bath with an over bath electric shower and screen.
Downstairs there is an outside toilet set in a small courtyard.
BEWARE low beams in corridor to bathroom!

Lovely cottage on the Quayside with fantastic views over the Quay. The fisherman's cottage is full of old rustic charm while being very clean comfortable cosy and tastefully decorated. The location is great for strolling along the Quayside exploring the town or surrounding area. Parking is available on the street or there is a pay and display car park a couple of minutes stroll at the end of the street for reasonable prices during the day and is free after 6pm for night time parking. The cottage is lovely with 2 comfortable bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen to make you feel right at home. Derek is a fantastic host who kept us informed of check in details and kindly came out to offer advice for the best fishing locations for my partner who brought his fishing gear with him. The town is lovely with very welcoming pubs cafe's deli bakery craft and gift shops and the maritime museum is an interesting visit. A fantastic cottage, town and area and would definitely stay again next time we are visiting the area and would highly recommend to anyone.

Seaside dream

Such a cute, clean and well equipped accommodation. Decorated very tastefully. Four adults had plenty of room and privacy. Outdoor WC was handy too! Location is great. Walkable distance to shops and pubs. Quick ferry ride across to Instow for a sandy beach day. Highly recommend for a nice getaway

Great cottage to stay in and such a pretty little town. Derek was very helpful, and we had everything we needed. The place was warm and comfortable and really weĺl furnished. Defintely recommend it.

Perfect cottage with amazing view in perfect location

The cottage is very cosy and comfortable. It is clean and well maintained. It was actually larger than we imagined it would be. It is located in a lovely small town and right on the quay with beautiful views across to Instow beach and the Devon countryside . Communication with Derek the host was first class and we were welcomed with some lovely gifts.We look forward to returning to this little gem again.

Perfect location

Little Gem of a place!

Book it! Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen essentials, cozy living spaces, romantic outdoor area, and ya cant beat the location. Right outside the door was the ferry to Instow, a lovely pizza place that did gluten free pizza, a deli and a small super market. We LOVED it! We only stayed 2 nights and we wished we had booked for longer! We would love to stay again. Thanks!

Amazing house with amazing views...

This is a stunning house, very homely and very comfortable with incredible views. Lots of space with a well equipped kitchen and comfy beds and sofas. Its decorated to a very high and very thoughtful standard. Appledore and Instow are lovely places to stay with easy access to other local places of interest such as Clovelly and the Tarka Trail. We highly recommend this cottage and its location.

The location of the property is fantastic, its got everything local you need and the town is one of the prettiest around, this is one of the reasons we return again to Appledore. Another wonderful stay!

This was our 3rd visit to the same property. Despite saying we might stay somewhere else this year we were drawn back as it’s just so perfect! The owner is very kind and responds very quickly to any issues. We just love Appledore and already can’t wait to come back!

Location location location

This is a super little cottage, right on the quay. There are restaurants and cafes literally on your doorstep. We ate out every night and had very very good food. We did quay jumping, crabbing and sea fishing. The sea ferry runs for a few hours most days ( tide dependent) across to lovely instow beach. The view from the main bedroom Is spectacular and everything was extremely clean. The hosts was especially helpful when we had change of plans.

Wir waren begeistert! Das Haus war typisch englisch und sehr sauber und gemütlich, wir haben uns direkt zuhause gefühlt. We love Appledore

We arrived in Appledore and found the most enchanting place to stay, right on the quay side. Everyone in Appledore was friendly and just behind our property there was a fish and chip shop opposite a pub, and we were aloud to eat our dinner in the pub. Back at the property, 2 great sized bedrooms, a good sized bathroom and downstairs ample room for us to either sit with a meal and watch the passing holiday makers or sit and read a book or watch a film in the other room, well equipped kitchen. Thank you, we will be back!!!

It is a former fisherman's cottage with loads of character situated right on the quayside with stunning views across the estuary to be enjoyed from a beautifully appointed master bedroom.
A volunteer ferry operates daily between Spring and Autumn departing from the nearby slipway to take you across to Instow with its lovely sandy beach, bars and restaurants.
It is centrally located with bars, restaurants, shops, deli, bakery, library, traditional fish and chip shops within a short stroll.
