About this property

Cosy Cotswold - The Snug - cottage in the centre of Burford

The lovely town of Burford occupies a position on the meandering River Windrush. Burford is built on a fairly steep hill, and the view from the top of the hill looking down the High Street to the river is one of the classic panoramas of the Cotswolds. A lovely 4-arched medieval bridge, widened in the 18th century, crosses the Windrush, and though Burford itself does not occupy the northern bank, a walk across the bridge is rewarded by wonderful views across watermeadows to the spire of St. John the Baptist parish church.
152 The Hill has been completed renovated and now offers 5 individual holiday homes, The Snug is one of them, all five properties can be all be rented if you would like, family Christmas, special occasions, the whole property will sleep up to 23, but you will all have your individual space, please see 8379754, 8379752, 6977567, 8379755 and please contact us for details.
The Snug is a one bedroom cottage, with one bathroom with a large shower, it can sleep up to 2 people, the bedroom has its own clean style, with one double bed, large open plan living, kitchen, dining area and a sitting room with TV, a snug, cosy place for two.

A communal garden can be found at the back of the property, it is lawned and is available to all guests that are staying at 152 The Hill. When you step outside the property, you are metres away from a newsagent, a butcher, a deli, a chemist, restaurants, pubs, a little further down is the Co-op shop. It is a brilliant place to stay as a base to explore the Cotswolds, with many places to visit.

Exploring the Cotswolds
Staying in Burford was a great midway spot to explore the Cotswolds. It was easy going to other towns but returning to our spot at 152 The Hill was like coming home again. The pubs were friendly , great food and the shopping held a good variety of interesting items. Overall we picked a great spot for 4 days.

Getaway to the Cotswolds
Very cute little place. Perfect for our short vacation. Property was an excellent location. The walls are thin to the outside walk area. Would stay again if in the area though!

A little gem in Burford
Perfect spot as a homebase to explore this part of the Cotswolds. And the town off Burford has its own charm - good shops, good food, good pubs, good sights and walking paths. The Snug itself has everything you need. Right sized and perfect for two people. The apple tree in the courtyard was a nice treat- delicious fresh picked apples. And Sally left us in good shape with treats and plenty of coffee and tea (and Prosecco!) would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Burford
Excellent location, everything needed was supplied and easy to find. Owners left us some generous "starter" food supplies and a much appreciated bottle of wine.
