Cézanne est l’un des quatre appartements de vacances de luxe de la Maison Pierre D’Or, une maison en pierre traditionnelle située à la limite du centre médiéval de Sarlat, dans la magnifique région de Dordogne, dans le Périgord Noir, dans le sud-ouest de la France.

Cézanne est le point de départ idéal pour explorer la ville et la campagne environnante. Idéal pour les couples, il se trouve à 5 minutes à pied du centre médiéval avec ses marchés, ses bistros, ses places pittoresques et ses bâtiments historiques.

L'appartement est orienté au sud et est donc lumineux et ensoleillé. Il possède un balcon invitant qui est très populaire auprès des clients qui prennent souvent le petit déjeuner ou le déjeuner ou un verre ou deux de vin local au soleil tout en profitant de la vue dégagée sur Sarlat.

L'attention a été portée aux détails. L'appartement a été meublé avec de beaux meubles en chêne clair. Il y a des lampes insolites et des peintures d'un artiste local, ainsi que de nombreuses autres touches personnelles, faisant de Cézanne le lieu de séjour idéal à Sarlat. L'appartement comprend un salon spacieux avec un coin repas séparé et une cuisine bien équipée. La chambre a un lit king size exceptionnellement confortable avec des draps en coton frais et vifs et des oreillers moelleux. La salle de bain a une douche avec eau chaude sur le robinet et des serviettes moelleuses fabuleuses. La télévision reçoit les chaînes françaises et anglaises.

Lovely stay

Enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment near Sarlat. A short walk to town and everything you need for a nice stay. The host provides lots of information and a detailed guide book on the area which we found very helpful.

Ideal Sarlat stay!

Well equipped spacious apartment (the balcony although small was ideal for two!)- with two lovely hosts Maggie and Ahm! Ideal location overlooking but within a short walk of the centre of Sarlat. Very much recommended!

Maggie and her husband, Ahm, were great hosts. They were unobtrusive, but ready to answer questions and provide suggestions. We loved our stay with Maggie and Ahm. They were such friendly and generous hosts who made us feel welcome from the first moment. Our apartment was well equipped and spacious with a charming patio where we enjoyed breakfast every morning. There is a lovely terrace surrounded by beautiful gardens. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Very comprehensive supply of information about the area including suggested drives taking in local and farther afield places of interest. Although cooking facilities were limited to two induction rings and an air fryer, we found them more than adequate. Would suggest that visitors come with a supply of anti-mosquito spray, and use generously. Altogether though, a very enjoyable and relaxing few days in a lovely part of France.

Cozy Sarlat home

This cozy unit is one of 3 in a sweet building just north of Sarlat. The hosts occupy one of the other units and were on hand to welcome us and give us useful information about the area. It is well-equipped, close to a good grocery store, walking distance to the town and an easy drive to the river and sites we wanted to explore. We found it a perfect location for exploring the Dordogne valley. Our only complaint was weak wifi.

The apartment was clean, convenient, well stocked and comfortable. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. We did find it to be a little hot in apt and in all honesty it was unusually hot in France. However due to mosquitoes we kept all the windows closed. We were supplied a fan.

Charming, spotless, perfect!

We spent a month in the delightful Cezanne apt., and it could not have been more perfect!! It is small, but extremely well equipped! It is light, bright, and immaculate!! A short walk into the old city of Sarlat made it an ideal location!! Maggie and Ahm are the best hosts...there to help when needed, but never “in your face”. Sarlat is a wonderful town to use as a base to explore the Dordogne region of France! The month flew by, and we took back to Colorado absolutely fabulous memories! We would recommend the charming Cezanne apt. to couples or singles who want a place with character! We loved it!!

Adventure in Sarlat

We were met on arrival by Maggie and Ahm. Lovely people. They immediately made us feel at home. Cute little apartment for 2 people within walking distance to the town of Sarlat. Lovely garden for relaxing. Close to groceries and also not too far to walk to the main downtown Sarlat with all their restaurants, banks, etc. Sarlat is also very close to visiting all the important sites. We felt very safe here. We can’t say enough about what wonderful hosts Maggie and Ahm were. We would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend them to our friends. Charming apartment in a great location

The locations and the hosts are 5 stars. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful and just delightful people. The location is great. You can walk into town for dinner and are conveniently located to get anywhere in the region. The apartment is charming, but small. It is on the second floor and was quite warm. We kept the curtains and shutters closed after 10:00 am due to the heat and none of windows have screens, so we kept them closed due to the mosquitos. What isn't in the pictures is the narrow spiral staircase up to the apartment. While it was okay for us, I think this needs to be mentioned as this would not be a good apartment for anyone with mobility issues.

We bought Maison Pierre D'Or in September 2016. It was already established as luxury holiday apartments.

We have spent the first year painting, decorating and refurbishing the apartments to make them comfortable and welcoming places to stay. We aim to give all our guests a wonderful time whilst staying with us.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The house is on the edge of the old town. Conveniently positioned, just a short walk of 10 minutes and you are at the centre of medieval Sarlat.

The house consists of four apartments which all have their unique character. There are two large apartments which are named after French painters: Monet and Matisse; a smaller apartment: Cezanne; and a spacious loft studio: Gauguin.

There is parking at the house which is a great bonus during the busy summer months when parking in the centre is at a premium.

Sarlat is a stunning place, with wonderful buildings and markets. It is situated in the middle of beautiful countryside, historic chateaux, prehistoric caves and wonderful gardens. We think you will fall in love with it too.
