Magnificent independent house located on a 3-hectare estate 20 minutes walk from the center of Palencia (2 km). With 5,000 m2 of garden has an excellent pool and 60 m2 porch with dining and living areas. Located in the area of the Romanesque Palentino, adjacent to the Canal de Castilla and only 300 m from one of the typical exclusives thereof. The area is characterized by its good cuisine and its proximity to the wineries of the denominations of Ribera de Duero, Ribera del Arlanza and Cigales.
For groups of 6 or less people 15% discount except Easter, Christmas, June, July and August.

Excellent accommodation

8 family members stayed in this secure, gated property which was modern and pristine. We are 3 generations, and it was ideal that most bedrooms had ensuite facilities. The private pool and extensive gardens were thoroughly enjoyed and we used the outdoor eating space every evening. The host communicated regularly. We would highly recommend this property.

Everything as great as advertised

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful house. Everything we needed was here and we were made very welcome by Luis who showed us around when we arrived. The house itself is spacious, airy and beautifully presented. Plenty of room to relax in sun or shade and a lovely large garden with pool. Access to the canal was from the bottom of the garden and a short shaded walk took us into Palencia. The town is interesting and Lourdes recommended some restaurants and bars, which was very helpful! Would definitely recommend this lovely house!

Días de calma en Palencia

Hemos disfrutado de unos días en la casa la Alberca y han sido maravillosos. La localización, junto al canal de Castilla, pero muy cerca de la ciudad, es estupenda. La casa dispone de todo lo necesario para pasar unos días estupendos en familia. Muchas gracias a Lourdes por su disponibilidad para solucionar cualquier cuestión. Sin duda volveremos

"Una excelente elección"

Hemos disfrutado de 9 estupendos días en familia en La Alberca. La descripción que ofrece la web refleja exactamente la realidad de la casa. La casa tiene una ubicación ideal, en el campo y en la ciudad con acceso directo al Canal de Castilla. Muy amplia, cómoda, bien equipada y decorada con gusto. Destacamos también la limpieza de la casa y el cuidado de las zonas ajardinadas y la piscina. Gracias a Lourdes, su propietaria, y a Luis, responsable de mantenimiento, por las facilidades que nos han dado, por su amabilidad y disponibilidad. ¡Ya la hemos recomendado!

Lovely house

We had a fabulous time here, a huge house and garden to relax in. It was very clean and tidy. Peaceful, safe and secure behind the gated access. The master bedroom is enormous with three other large bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms upstairs and one downstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped and was fine for us but would be a bit small if 14 people were staying here and trying to cook. The nearest bar is a leisurely 20 minute walk (pushing a wheelchair) along the road or the canal and about five more minutes into the main city restaurants. Brilliant walks along the canal north and south of the house. Luis and Lourdes were very kind and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We couldn't have hoped for a nicer place.

Great country property just outside Palencia

Lovely big property with five large bedrooms that would comfortably host two families and a couple. Huge back garden backs on to a canal side shaded walk in to town. Lovely pool and veranda to relax when back at the house. Safe and secure behind gated entrance.
