La antigua casa de abuelos de carbón junto al mar, ha sido renovada y decorada por su nieto Pericles, un músico tradicional y violinista con cierta reputación internacional. Pericles usó aquí su propio estilo único. Cerca del océano, Pericles ha inspirado muchos de sus éxitos musicales.
Una villa despistada e indefinida con todo lo que necesita para sus vacaciones.
Piscina privada de 9x5 m, profundidad 1,20-1,60 también niños 0,5 profundidad, con un gran jardín con red de voleibol, enormes terrages.

Superschöner Ort zum Ausspannen und Erholen

Das Haus liegt direkt am Meer, nur eine kleine, kaum befahrene Straße liegt zwischen dem Haus und dem Wasser. Auf der Terrasse kann man wunderbare Sonnenuntergänge beobachten. Der Strand ist ein Kies- Felsenstrand, baden für kleine Kinder ist definitiv besser beim Nähe gelegenen Falasarna Beach (20min. mit dem Auto, wunderschöner Sandstrand). Das Haus hat Alleinlagen, die Nachbarn Rechts sind Schafe, links wohnen Ziegen (sehr nett zu beobachten). Auf dem Gelände ist eine schöne Wiese zum Ballspielen und ein großer sauberer Pool mit dem Kinder viel Spaß haben werden. Im Haus findet man alles, was man braucht, die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Die Zimmer haben alle eine Klimaanlage und jedes ein eigenes (kleines Bad). Im Obergeschoss kann man auf eine schöne große Dachterrasse gehen. Etwa zweimal die Woche kommt ein Housekeeping, so dass alles schön sauber bleibt. Allgemein ist die Kommunikation mit den Besitzern sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Das Haus ist vom Stil eher rustikal und teils ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, die Matratzen waren für uns ein wenig hart - aber das ist subjektiv und individuell. In der näheren Umgebung befinden sich direkt am Meer drei und im Ort weitere drei Tavernen, die alle fußläufig gut erreichbar sind. Im Ort bekommt man die dringendsten Artikel in einem Mini-Supermarkt, ansonsten lieber unterwegs im vorherigen Ort einkaufen. Alles in allem ein wunderbarer Ort mit Natur pur, Sonnenuntergänge und das wilde Westkreta vor der Haustüre

Absolut erholsamer Urlaub abseits vom Tourismus

Wir waren zu viert im Pericles Beach House und es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub abseits vom Tourismus direkt am Meer. Absolut empfehlenswert, wer gerne mit dem Auto unterwegs ist und sich Land und Natur auf Kreta ansehen möchte. Zu den Vermietern hatten wir ein sehr engen Kontakt und konnten uns mit alen Problemen an sie wenden. Danke Xristina und Pericles für die schöne Zeit in Euerm Haus.

Tolles Haus mit traumhafter Aussicht

Diese außergewöhnliche Villa ist komfortabel ausgestattet, sauber und bietet je nach Wetterlage und Tageszeit viele Aufenthaltsmöglichkeiten im Garten, am Pool, auf den verschiedenen Terrassen oder im Haus. Unsere Kinder haben gerne im Garten gespielt. Die Aussicht mit Meeresblick ist einfach traumhaft und das Meeresrauschen trägt zusätzlich zur Entspannung bei. Die netten Gastgeber Xristina und Pericles haben uns herzlich empfangen und standen uns jederzeit für Fragen oder Hilfestellungen zur Verfügung. Wir fühlten uns richtig gut aufgehoben bei Ihnen. Vielen Dank! Es ist ein tolles Haus und wir haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wonderful

Very nice house and garden. The view over the ocean is outstanding. The place is very calm and quiet and five minutes walk from a small beach there it is some good fish restaurants. Xristina our landlady is very helpful and service minded and answered quickly if we had som questions. We had a lovely week and hope to come back again

Great Villa if you want to get away from it all

The villa is right by the sea, is spacious, has great internet and air con in all of the bedrooms. Lovely views and sunsets every night. Swimming pool is large and great for families. If you want to spend time in your villa and potter it’s perfect. Only 30 mins to Falasarna beach which is the best we visited - v clear water for snorkelling. Sun beds a little pricey but ok if you plan to stay for a few hours. With the seclusion comes the sight downside that the nearest minimart is around 25 mins away so you need to plan your food. The tavernas in the village are poor and the fish tavernas along the coast over priced and over rated. But Chania is only an hour’s drive away and Kissamos half that time which has some great eateries and larger shops. All in all a great villa and well worth 5 stars.

Book This Villa. It's Amazing.

As a family we always prefer to book a villa preferably off the beaten track a little bit over a hotel or package holiday. I must admit to being a little nervous before arriving that maybe this one was just a little “too” off the beaten track. For example, the nearest “proper” supermarket is a 25 minute drive away. However the things that made me nervous are actually what makes this place so great and with a little planning and use of the local shop which sells the basics (bread, fruit, snacks) it provides a real escape from the holiday crowds. The hosts in Xristina and Pericles are all that you could hope for in as much that they are super communicative, friendly, helpful, always on hand to give advice. The villa is spotless and had two cleans during our fortnight stay as well as separate visits to clean the excellent pool. They also kindly gave us some eggs from their chicken which was a lovely gesture. The villa is spacious both inside and out with various outdoor seating spots – to enjoy the sun or shade and watch the amazing sunsets. Pericles villa itself is nestled just below the village of Sfinari and literally sits on the waters edge. It’s a little rocky immediately outside the villa – but with beach shoes you can enter the crystal clear water here for a bit of snorkelling. A 5 minute walk along the coastline takes you to a rugged but lovely little almost private beach with nice loungers and umbrellas. You’ll get maybe 20 other people on the beach in the height of the summer season, which is incredible given how lovely and natural the beach is. There are also 3 fantastic tavernas on the beach all pretty equal in terms of quality serving predominantly seafood of course but also with enough other foods done on their outdoor grills (Souvlaki etc). Ultimately the villa provides a great base to explore the Western Coast of Crete. The amazing Falasarna beach which provides a more “typical” holiday beach experience (watersports, plentiful umbrellas, a little more busy – but still not crazy, white sand and turquoise water) is just 25 minutes away. If you prefer something a little more natural then Elafonisi beach is about 1hr drive and Balos is best accessible by boat – which Xristina will be able to help you with. If you have kids then there are 2 waterparks up towards Chania (about an hours drive away). And of course there is Chania itself which is well worth a visit or two. All in all a 5* experience and we thoroughly recommend.

Perfect villa by the sea

This villa ticked every box for us . It is large and spacious and very well equipped. The pool is fabulous , there’s a volleyball court, and badminton rackets. Just a short stroll away are 3 tavernas . We regularly ate at Captain Fidias ( the first taverna) because of their lovely large free sun beds. However, on our last day we went to Sunset taverna right along at the end. It is so picturesque and the food was the best we’d had. The people everywhere were incredibly friendly and hospitable and spoke wonderful English which was great for us as we only learnt about 3 words of Greek. We loved Barbara’s cheese and herb pies in the village too ( first taverna after the shop on the right). The views from every window of the house are like looking at a beautiful painting . It is right next to the sea . The Wi-Fi works perfectly. We couldn’t have wished for more. Thank you Pericles and Xristina for a really lovely holiday. We can’t wait to come back and promise not to break anything next time! Lucinda, Richard, Marcus, Betty and Thea. (Two adults, three teenagers)

Wonderful villa, perfect location, 5* host.

Just meters from the sea, with mountains as a backdrop the villa is the perfect spot to spend lazy days admiring the view, swimming in the lovely pool and snorkelling in the bay. The house is large, well equipped and has so many seating areas there’s always somewhere to find some shade or enjoy the view. The local beach, 10 mins walk is quiet and the Tavernas at the back serve wonderful local food and wine. Lots of opportunities for days out to fabulous beaches and spectacular mountain walks. Finally, you couldn’t ask for better hosts, always available to answer questions and provide helpful advice. Highly recommended.

Absolut reibungsloser Aufenthalt. Tolle Gastgeber. Fantastische Lage, 10 Meter zum Meer. Herrlicher Blick auf eine Bucht. Wenig Tourismus, aber 6-7 Tavernen bequem fußläufig zu erreichen. Auszeit weg vom Stress und Natur pur

Traumhaus direkt am Meer

Einfach nur perfekt! Ganz herzliche Vermieter, die jeder Zeit erreichbar waren, uns Ersatz des verlegten Autoschlüssel bei der Vermietung in Charnia prompt besorgt haben, trotz unseres kurzen Aufenthalts wurde das Haus komplett (samt unserer Wäsche und des Geschirrs) zwischengereinigt, Motorboot organisiert usw. Das Haus und der Blick sind noch schöner, als es die Photos wiedergeben können. Der Rasen ist dank Sprenkler wirklich so saftig grün, das Haus und die Palme nachts wunderbar illuminiert, es ist ein Volleyballnetz quer durch den Garten gespannt, BBQ, Pizzaofen, Spül- und Waschmaschine, ordentliches WLAN: alles vorhanden. Allerdings muss man sich klar sein, dass es schon sehr abgelegen dort ist und die Zeit auf google Maps bis zum nächsten etwas größeren Minimarkt rechnet nicht die Schafsherden, die sich nach jeder Kurve auf der Straße (mit Atemberaubenden Blick!) dorthin befinden können mit ein. Wir waren spät im Jahr, aber es machte nicht den Eindruck, dass in der Hochsaison dort das pralle Leben tobt. Perfekt für kleine Freundeskreise oder Familie mit mehreren Kindern oder 2 Familien mit Kind, die sich an der Natur und einer cilligen Zeit erfreuen. Es sind einige gute kleine Tavernen fußläufig am Strand und 2 im "Örtchen", wo sich auch winziger Minimarkt befindet. Wir haben unsere Zeit dort sehr genossen und wollen auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Urlaub an der ruhigen Westküste

Sehr gut ausgestattete und schön gelegene Villa direkt am Meer. Der Pool ist toll zum schwimmen. Am ca . 500 Meter entfernten Kiesstrand gibt es 3 nette Tavernen. Hier kann man auch gut schnorcheln. Ideale Lage um die Westküste zu erkunden.

Great spot! Hidden Gem!

Beautifully set right on the waters in the village of Sfinari. Walking distance to really great tavernas and beaches with chairs and umbrellas. Very low key, with none of the crowds that you expect in Greece in the summer. The house itself is beautiful, with a big pool and beautiful second floor deck perfect for watching the sunset. You can't beat this villa. It's perfect for small groups!

An amazing experience

We had such a wonderful stay at Pericles Beach Villa. Xristina and her husband are amazing hosts - very attentive, helpful, every detail was taken care of, all their recommendations were spot-on! The Villa itself is fantastic - from magical views of the Med, to wonderful authentic Greek countryside interior design, to fantastic pool and very pleasant outdoor grassy yard , hammock and entertainment areas. We did not want to leave at the end - book this place without a doubt. Peace and quiet, and a true Greek hospitality - that’s all that is needed to de-stress in this world. Xristina was always available to answer any questions, and went above snd beyond, helping us to book a great private boat tour (a must-do on Crete). From our family, Thank You so much for your hospitality and an unforgettable vacation.

Maxing and relaxing Oceanside!!

We loved our relaxing stay at Pericles Villa. Our family of five had a great week enjoying the many different beaches and the pool. Our favorite beach was approx 50 min away(Kedrodasos Beach). The bigger beaches were pretty busy but this one was perfect. We also loved snorkelling rate in front of the villa. The kids enjoyed seeing an octopus, a huge sea slug, a fireworks and many different fish... The house was larger then we expected. After a long day out we all found a place to hide and relax or just chill in the pool. A perfect end to our 2 weeks in Greece. Last but not least. The hosts are extremely good and very friendly. I would have to say that the Greek people are some of the most hospitable!! We will be back!!!! Highly recommend!

The most amazing holiday ever!!!!

If there were more than 5*’s to give we would do so, no pictures/words can do the villa, owners or location justice. We’ve stayed at many amazing villas over the years and we’ve learned all the things to look for and check that suit what we want. Despite all the research arrival is always an unknown and there are always a few things over a long break that could be improved. Not here, this piece of paradise is pure perfection. We couldn’t fault a single thing inside or out the villa from the moment we arrived to lovely local foods/drink to the sad goodbye at the end of our fortnight. Sfinari is quite a remote village but there’s all you need here - essential supplies in the mini market to various lovely tavernas either along the beach or a few mins walk/drive up in the village. Kissamos town is a short drive and there are various other places even closer like Phalasarna if you wish to venture, which we didn’t very much. Every night is a beautiful sunset over the bay so grab a drink, sit and admire this from the terrace, pool area, balcony or (my favourite) hammock (there are no mosquitos here too)!! Then walk under a pink sky along the beach, past goats/sheep with a nice breeze, waves lapping against the shore. In 10 mins there are 3 tavernas where you can sit just metres from the shore and enjoy a warm welcome, great hospitality, the freshest seafood and more local gifts of food/raki than you can manage, all for amazing value. We had to pay twice what we were charged just to feel honest. All 3 tavernas have great reviews but we always came back to Captain Fidias’ place, we were made to feel like family and treated to stunning fresh fish, octopus, calamari, salads, the best mousaka, souvlaki and lamb, and delicious baked desserts - rude to resist!! The sea is yards from the front door and great for snorkelling, with lots of fish and I even got to swim for 20 mins with a giant sea turtle (Caretta Caretta), must’ve been 1.5m and a truly emotional experience, one I’ll never forget :-) The pool’s great for swimming and has a protected shallow area for kids or adults who want to paddle. It was always clean and clear. Day trips to Elafonissi and it’s Monastery, Phalasarna, Chania, Milia and Topolia Gorge were all lovely! Xristina and Pericles were always available to message for help or advice, left us in peace and was lovely to meet once or twice. Thank you so very much for this best holiday we ever had. We WILL be back, can’t wait !!!!

Great villa with private pool near the sea

We rented the beach villa for a total of 5 nights. Xristina is a great hostess, she made sure the place was clean before and during our stay and was always happy to give us advice on what to visit in the area. These are some of the things I enjoyed during the stay: Private pool of decent size, sunbeds, a cozy hammock and the location with a great view of the Mediterranean (no sand breaches nearby, though). I recommend anyone to stay at Pericles and Xristina's villa :)

Traumhaus Traumurlaub. Ein sehr schönes uriges Haus an einem ruhigen wilden abenteuerlichen einsamen und wunderschönen Ort . Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt mit unseren kindern sehr genossen vorallem die umliegende Traumstrände die Gastfreundschaft und den spirit des Ortes. Auch wen der Meltemi uns nicht immer gut hat schlafen lassen. Für Familien die einen ruhigen romantischen Ort mit atemberaubendem Sonnenuntergängen suchen und dem Meer und der Natur ganz nah sein wollen perfekt geeignet. Wir waren sehr zufrieden . Wir empfehlen allerdings eine Modernisierung der Klimaanlage und der Waschmaschine. Danke für die wunderschönen Ferien Xristia und Perikles Dream Dream διακοπές ονείρου. Ένα πολύ όμορφο γραφικό σπίτι σε ένα ήσυχο άγριο περιπετειώδες απομονωμένο και όμορφο μέρος. Απολαύσαμε τη διαμονή μας με τα παιδιά μας, ειδικά τα γύρω όνειρα παραλίες τη φιλοξενία και το πνεύμα του τόπου. Επίσης, ο Μελτέμι δεν μας άφηνε πάντα να κοιμόμαστε καλά. Για οικογένειες που αναζητούν ένα ήσυχο ρομαντικό μέρος με ηλιοβασιλέματα που κόβουν την ανάσα και κοντά στη θάλασσα και το χαμόγελο της φύσης θέλουν να είναι τέλεια. Ήμασταν πολύ ικανοποιημένοι. Ωστόσο, συνιστούμε τον εκσυγχρονισμό του κλιματιστικού και του πλυντηρίου. Σας ευχαριστούμε για τις ωραίες διακοπές Χρυσιάς και Περικλής Dream house dream vacation. A very nice quaint house in a quiet wild adventurous secluded and beautiful place. We enjoyed our stay with our children especially the surrounding dream beaches the hospitality and the spirit of the place. Also, the Meltemi did not always let us sleep well. For families who are looking for a quiet romantic place with breathtaking sunsets and close to the sea and nature srin want to be perfect. We were very satisfied . However, we recommend a modernization of the air conditioning and the washing machine. Thanks for the very nice holidays Xristia and Pericles

Excellent stay on Crete

This was a last minute booking for myself and my girlfriend. Pericles and Xristina were incredibly helpful in getting us situated. The property was beautiful and in a wonderful location, especially if getting away is your goal. We rented a car for the duration of our stay and that is a must. There’s all kinds of cute restaurants in the area, but you need to be able to drive. Highly recommend this location. A wonderful trip!
