"CASA DA CANCELA" is a restoration carried out by a Portuguese architect of the University of Oporto and combines the old rural ruin and the interpretation of the construction in the land. In this way, it is possible to obtain an unique orientation of sun exposure and landscape is achieved.

The village of São Lourenço is one of the few Portuguese villages that still preserves its ancestral characteristics with special emphasis on the Moinhos circuit and the ancient Roman roads that crossed the Serra D'Arga.
