About the property

3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Quiet Neighborhood

This charming 3 bedroom, 2 bath stucco home built in 2008. With an attached garage will store your vehicle or off-road toys. Small boat could be parked on the south side of the house. Satellite tv and internet is provided. Open floor plan is great for entertaining, cooking, and relaxing.

This house is minutes from Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon, and Lake Powell. A southwest Utah nature preserve distinguished by Zion Canyon’s steep red cliffs. Zion Canyon Scenic Drive cuts through its main section, leading to forest trails along the Virgin River. At the Lodge you can hike to all 3 Emerald Pools, which have waterfalls and a hanging garden at the top. Just 2 Hours to Zion National Park my family goes to Zions year round. Bryce Canyon National Park, a sprawling reserve 2hr. 41 Min. to the southern Utah, is known for crimson-colored hoodoos, which are spire-shaped rock formations. The park’s main road leads past the expansive Bryce Amphitheater, a hoodoo-filled depression lying below the Rim Trail hiking path. It has overlooks at Sunrise Point, Sunset Point, Inspiration Point and Bryce Point. We have taken many people here and have also camped in the park. It's a hard hike up but awesome hiking down. The Grand Canyon National Park, North Rim also 2 hour away has its layered bands of red rock revealing millions of years of geological history. With wide views of the canyon and Colorado River, We love stopping at Jacob Lake Inn. located 45 miles from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon at the junction of Highway 67 and Highway 89. Highway 67 is the only way to or from the North Rim. So, once you’ve seen the Canyon, you have to drive right back to Jacob Lake Inn and Stop! The Best home made lunch and a must for the cookies!! Bring cookies home and relax at Lake Powell.

Needs some TLC!

  • 3 of 5

The property was comfortable, bathrooms were clean. It could be a great property if the inside was repainted. Walls & doors needed painting, they were not very clean. An overall cleaning & painting could make this place very nice.

Great place to stay - just wish it had been a little cleaner

  • 4 of 5

Positives: The house is just great. Really cute actually! Rooms are good sized as well as kitchen and living areas. After cleaning fee and taxes, we paid $268 per night, which is a great value over getting two hotel rooms at $250 a piece. Everything we used was in good working order. House smelled fine - no weird odors. The washer and dryer were great to wash our towels after coming off the lake every day. House is cozy and on a quiet street. I loved the little built-in bench around the dining table. We played cards for hours with all six of us and there was plenty of room around the table. Also, we got to Page a little early the first day, so the host allowed us to come in a couple of hours earlier than check in and leave an extra car and our luggage in the garage. We headed out to the lake knowing our stuff was safe! Negatives: The only thing I would hope for next time is that it is cleaned better. I am a semi-professional house cleaner, so this really bothered me. It's probably hard to find good cleaning help in a small town, but this house could use a good scrubbing of walls and doors. There is grime on the doors and door frames. A little 409 would take care of that. There is grime on the bottom of the built-in shelves in the family room. Look likes kids have probably stepped up on it with their dirty feet. The paint colors used in the house are really great, but we had to chuckle at how bad the paint job is throughout! Someone has gone through and "spot painted" in places and the new paint color doesn't match the old, so it looks really unkempt. Interior wall paint should be eggshell or satin finish so it cleans easily - and doors and casings should be semi-gloss. This house needs a fresh coat of paint and it would be perfect! Also, whatever was used to wipe down the countertops left a film. I noticed it as soon as I walked in and had to get a wet cloth and wipe it all and dry it. Hot water on a cloth is just fine on counters - you don't have to use cleaning solution. The fridge door and handle had smudges on it. The floors didn't seem like they had been well-mopped or vacuumed. Also, the garage needs to be swept out. BUT, the bed linens were clean, the bathrooms were both clean and the kitchen was clean. So, we will probably stay here again. Thanks for the opportunity to review. I hope this helps! If management wants to give me a discount on our next stay, I would be happy to clean the place for you! Haha!

Cozy in Page

  • 4 of 5

Nice house in good location for sightseeing and hiking in Page. Has 3 bedrooms & 2 baths. Plenty of kitchenware to cook with and a gas grill out back. Nothing fancy, but has all the comforts of home including a gas fireplace which we took advantage of each night. Can't go wrong here.

Nice location and layout but needs a good cleaning

  • 3 of 5

This home offered easy access to all of the places on our itinerary. The layout was nice. However, it is in need of a really good cleaning (including floors, carpet and sofa), as well as some fresh paint on the walls. With a little updating of window coverings, especially in the twin bedroom, and some of the bed linens it would present itself much better.

Lake Powell Boating vacation

  • 3 of 5

We stayed in this home for a week. Overall it was ok. The check in was easy. We liked the location because it is easy to get to boat launches. We had access to the garage which was convenient. The house photographs are accurate. The beds were ok. There were plenty of towels and the kitchen had what we needed in terms of pans/dishes. The back yard is paved and has several tables and barbeque. It is covered with a lath type cover that does give shade.

We picked this house because of the stated available boat parking and the patio.

We were told prior to renting that there was boat parking on the south side of the house, the driveway and the street in front of the house. Boat parking is actually the number one consideration for us. It turned out that the space on the south side of the house is about 6-8 feet wide plus there are gas/electric lines sticking out from the house. No way to park any size boat on the south side. The driveway was is too short for any boat and trailer. So we parked in front of the house which is an annoyance to the neighbors and puts the boat in danger of being hit as people come around the corner.

We called upon check in as the barbeque was out of gas and we could not get the TV to work. The property manager did not return our calls quickly. She was very nice when I did get a return call. Told us she would be there in 10 minutes but it was about 90 minutes later when she arrived. We didn't get the propane that night but it was full when we returned from boating the next day. The TV in the living room was fixed so we could watch it but there were subtitles on that even the TV expert the manager brought with her could not get to turned off. Not a major deal just annoying. The TV in the bedroom never worked.

We ended up not using the barbeque or the outside patio. We didn't want to clean the barbeque and the back yard was pretty much invested with bugs and spiders. The kitchen needs a MAJOR cleaning. I had to wash all the pots, pans and plates prior to using. The stove needs replaced. The oven and burners were filthy. I could not use the oven at all. When the manager came over the first night I showed her the oven. She looked and didn't even say anything, just shrugged. If there were major cleaning and repair this could be a cute little house.

Well set up place, enjoyed the large family room and overall feel. Will definitely stay here again next year when we go to Lake Powell again. Owners were quick to respond with answers to questions etc.
