Quaint Oast House on the farm
What a wonderful, peaceful setting. I loved being around the farm animals. What a pristine farm! Beautiful area as well! I’d come back in a heartbeat.
Thanks for such a lovely review! Glad you enjoyed your stay. Many thanks, Sally.
A wonderful place in a great location.
For our recent 5 night stay in Herefordshire, The Oust House proved to be an excellent place to base ourselves with plenty of areas and items of interest within less than 45 mins drive and the town of Bromyard right on our doorstep.
The house itself is superb - comfortable, clean and well equipped. Its conversion has led to interesting features such as exposed beams, some rooms with high ceilings and in one case a bedroom half way up between the first and second floor. (Also, the wooden gates at the foot of each set of stairs was very welcome given the exploratory inclinations of our toddler).
The farm on which the house is situated is exceptionally clean and interesting to explore. We spent a couple of evenings when the weather was on our side visiting the animals and enjoying the tranquility as the sun lowered towards the lovely surrounding countryside. Everyone we spoke to on the farm was very welcoming and certainly made us feel at home.
All in all a great place to stay, highly recommended and would be our first choice if we're visiting the area again.
Thank you very much for leaving such a detailed review, you are very kind. Many thanks, Sally.

About James Barrett
The Oast House forms part of Mintridge, a working family farm which Richard and Sally Barrett have owned since 1997. Mintridge Farmhouse is an attractive period Grade II Listed house, with origins dating from the 1600s. Since owning the farm, Sally and Richard have converted two barns into luxury holiday accommodation: The Oast & Chaff House and The Coach House. Sally and her mother, Eileen (who lives in the farmhouse) are based on the farm everyday. Sally would be happy to show all of our guests around the working farm, something which proves especially popular with younger guests! We have Limousin cows, Charollais sheep and horses. Sally's mother, Eileen, is also well known for her baking of fresh scones with homemade raspberry jam for guests on arrival!
