Welcome to Lochaber Lodges, a new development self-catering lodges to rent in the heart of the Highlands of Scotland. Our family run site offers you all the personal touches for a great getaway in a stunning location, with the assurance of Visit Scotland 4 star accreditation. We have also been awarded Certificate of Excellence for the years 2013 to 2019. Full details are included on our website at Lochaber Lodges.

We are situated 7 miles from Fort William on the banks of the Caledonian Canal with uninterrupted views over Anoach Mor and Ben Nevis. Whether you are looking for a tranquil and relaxing break, or a base to experience the Outdoor Capital of the UK- this is the ideal location.

Our new lodges are equipped to exceptional standards for year round occupancy, with double-glazing and central heating for the colder winter months, and external decking to enjoy the benefits of the long daylight hours in the summer. Our luxury lodges also includes flat screen TV/DVD to lounge and bedroom, integrated dishwasher and microwave, free WiFi access, and full washing and drying facilities.

We just loved our time here. Very peaceful, great home base for many day trips over the course of our week long stay. Shared laundry facilities on site and we had everything we needed to cooking meals. Kieran was especially kind and helpful with suggestions for our family. Great view on Ben Nevis

We really enjoyed our stay at Glendale Range. Our lodge was clean, had enough space for our family with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We loved the great view on Ben Nevis while sitting in the living room or outside.

Clean, and a good location to explore the area. Ben Nevis, Loch Ness are near.It is not a real house, rather a trailer. For tall people (190cm), the beds are too short and the door posts too low. In contrary to the description no kitchen spices or herbs present.

Schöne Location mitten in den idyllischen Highlands

Das kleine Haus war sehr schön und gut gelegen, sodass wir in der näheren Umgebung einige Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß und mit dem Auto besuchen konnten. Auch der Loch Ness war in etwas mehr als einer Stunde mit dem Auto erreichbar. Das Haus war schön und wie auf den Fotos zu sehen ausgestattet. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse aus war wirklich traumhaft und es hatte je nach Wetterlage immer eine andere Stimmung. Es ist allerdings zu beachten, dass bis auf Geschirr, Besteck und Kochutensilien keine Ausstattung vorhanden war, es müssen also Gewürze und andere Sachen selbst mitgebracht werden, was bei Flugreisen ungünstig sein kann. Wir ziehen einen Stern ab, da ein Gasherd vorhanden war und das Feuerzeug, welches zu dessen Nutzung benötigt wurde, bei Ankunft nicht funktioniert hatte, da es leer war. Dies sollte vor einem Gastwechsel geprüft werden, da der Herd sonst nicht genutzt werden kann. Darüber hinaus war die Haustüre nicht absperrbar, was auch bereits in anderen Bewertungen bemängelt wurde. Daher mussten wir bei verlassen des Hauses für Ausflüge immer sämtliche Wertgegenstände und Geräte mitnehmen. Alles in allem hat dies dem Urlaub jedoch nicht negativ beeinflusst und die Lochaber Lodges sind zu empfehlen.

Natur mit Aussicht

Die Lodge liegt in einer sehr reizvollen Wandergegend auf dem Gelände einer Schaf- und Rinderfarm, aber mit großem Abstand zu dieser. Fort William und Spean Bridge sind mit dem Auto in ca. 20 min gut erreichbar. Die Lodge selbst ist, obwohl eine Art stationäres Mobile Home, sehr gut Wärmeisolierung und hat einen großzügigen Wohn-/Ess-/Küchenbereich. Der Schlaftrakt mit drei Doppelzimmern und zwei Bädern ist eher raumsparend und etwas hellhörig, aber gepflegt, sinnvoll möbliert und voll ausreichend. Die wunderschöne und gemütlich möblierte Terrasse haben wir aufgrund des Wetters leider kaum nutzen können. Auch die Ausstattung mit (Koch-)Geschirr ist ok. W-LAN einwandfrei. Die Eigentümer wohnen offenbar in der Nähe und haben sich sofort gekümmert , als es mit Heizung/Warmwasser ein kleines Problem gab. Wir haben nur bis zum Schluss nicht verstanden, wie man die Raumtemperatur vernünftig einstellt. Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmes Ferienhaus.

Unser Aufentalt war trotz des regnerischen Wetters sehr schön. Die Lodge liegt etwas abseits von Fort Williams (6 mi) inmitten der Highlands. Natur pur mit Privat Reh. Die Lodge ist nicht allzugroß. Es ist aber Alles vorhanden. Die Terrasse konnten wir leider nur 2x nutzen.

Great Lodge

Thé lodge was very clean and warm and had everything we needed. It’s so close to many walks at all levels and boasts a fantastic view of the Nevis range from the veranda. Experience wise we did the Steall falls walk in Glen Nevis which we highly recommend. A great week, a tad rainy! Never mind it was the beginning of November. Thank you for a great stay.

Climbing Ben Nevis

Stayed for three nights and all worked out very well, was a bit confused over the bedroom layouts as the main bedroom was a double and was showing a double and two singles on plan, lucky I could share the double with my son as there was 7 guys staying, enjoyed the stay, hope we didn't wake the neighbours with our 4am checkout!!

On entering the lodge we were blown away with the cleanliness and quality finishing from the curtains to the oak table and chairs, 2 great sized bathrooms fantastic showers kitchen was fully equipped and had a separate fridge and freezer and the dishwasher also came in handy,the views were amazing with zero light pollution would love to see it in the summer months. We would definitely come back and probably will in the near future as there was so much we didn't do in the lochaber area.

Beautiful setting and fab cabin

Just a few miles outside Fort William and a great base for exploring. The cabin was immaculate and spacious in a gorgeous area. Everything you need is within the cabin. Would definitely recommend.
