Monte Costa Luz is a typical Alentejo house fully available for your family / group, located in the rural area of Porto Covo, on a small hill overlooking the east to the Serra do Cercal and the west to the sea. Recently recovered, it tries to combine Alentejo tradition and simplicity with the comfort of a home, where your family can rest in complete privacy, as we receive only one group at a time.
Monte Costa Luz is the ideal retreat to rest enjoying the natural landscape of the Alentejo Litoral with a sea breeze. From where you can start the adventure along the trails of the Costa Vicentina (historic path and fishermen's trail).

Monte Costa Luz is a typical house located on top of a small hill and inserted in a property with 6.5 ha with garden and a small orchard. It is the perfect place to rest and enjoy the contact with nature, enjoying the sunny days, watching the sunset on the sea from our garden and at nightfall you can still observe the wonderful starry sky. It is the ideal place to practice outdoor sports such as hiking, running, mountain biking or adventuring along the trails of the Rota Vicentina. They can also stroll along the wonderful beaches of the Natural Park of Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina, such as Pessegueiro Island, Porto Covo, Aivados and Vila Nova de Milfontes or practice water sports (Surf, Windsurf, bodyboard ...) on the beaches of São Torpes and Malhão.

Quiet, rural, and peaceful accommodation with a lot of privacy

This is a perfect accommodation for people looking for a bit of peace, and the Portuguese country life. You will find yourself surrounded by agricultural fields, and quiet beaches located just minutes away. Next to the house is an important hiking route through the fields. The house has a piece of land. The household is practical, and the owners are very friendly and helpful in answering any questions you may have. You will notice immediately that it is a pet friendly accommodation.

Lovely place in a great spot

We enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious and comfortable and being in the countryside was very quiet but still close to porto covo and vn milfontes. The garden is not as per the photos as there is no view and it has not been looked after at all but it was fine for us with our dog as she loved it.so we would return there. Our only concern was the dirt track access which was a little tricky as we have a low slung car but for many cars it is fine. To be fair it was in fair condition given the rain we have just had but would suggest some levelling out in places.

A experiência foi óptima!! A Srª Carmen (anfitriã) foi muito prestável, respondendo sempre a todas as questões/dúvidas e de forma bastante célere. Uma simpatia de pessoa. A casa é fantástica: acolhedora, limpa, espaçosa e com tudo o que é necessário para nos sentirmos em casa. Apesar de não estarmos no centro da vila (Porto Covo) estamos a 5min da mesma e das respectivas praias, o que permite aproveitar campo/praia/cidade. Para quem tenha animais, a propriedade está preparada para os receber sem qualquer problema pois está vedada e o que não falta é espaço. O Nero (cão da família) está na propriedade mas é um amor de cão, podendo andar à solta ou ficar na box. Para o ano, esperamos ter a sorte de apanhar a casa novamente disponível.

The hill belongs to me and to my brother Andrew, for our father's inheritance.
This property has been in our family for generations, it was our childhood home, so we want to share its charms with our guests.

What makes this property unique

It is a typical Alentejo Coastal house, located on top of a small hill which allows you to have a fantastic 360 degree view.
  You can observe birds, the wonderful Sunset in the Sea, the starry nights and moonlight, fall asleep with the crickets and wake up with the birds. Quiet place for family rest and at the same time the ideal place for hobbies and outdoor games for the whole family where they can enjoy our garden and recent orchard in a large enclosed space around the house.
