Love it!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to Mr. Jack's place and we hope to visit again soon. He added a dock which was great. We kept our boat docked all week long with no problems. Plenty of space for dogs to run and the entire place is fenced in. Mr. Jack is very nice and helpful. Look forward to coming back!

Georgeous View

  • 5 of 5

The property was large and accommodated my family of four plus my mother and dogs. We really enjoyed the relaxing views of the water. Jack went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable.

The property is very close to Belleville boat ramp which was a plus since we brought our boat. The dock was large enough to accommodate our boat but the current and winds were strong so we took our boat out each trip.

Jack and a friend of ours recommended Skippers for a meal. It was delicious and a nice atmosphere. The drive to Skippers wasn't far and the town was neat.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back for a weekend getaway. The only suggestion we have is to add a motorized gate. The gate made us feel safe because no one else could access the property but it would have been nice to have a motorized gate instead of locking and unlocking each time we exited and entered the property.

Awesome view, responsive owner, clean cabin, our 3 teenage boys even had fun.

  • 5 of 5

Would definitely rent this cabin again. Very clean. Plenty of dishes and pots and pans. Beds were comfortable, sheets were very nice and soft. Plenty of towels, having a washer and drier was great. Heaters were nice and kept the cabin warm at night. Wall AC units were provided but we didn’t use them.

Layout of cabin has bedrooms on opposite sides of main room, perfect for sleeping on one side while the night owl stays up in the other.

Deep channel for boating. We could boat around even at low tide. Two-minute boat ride to beach, private, secluded, sandy. Dogs allowed.

Belleville Boat Ramp launch easy to get to, nice to use, cement ramp. At the house nice dock, very easy to use and get to your boat. No problem leaving boat tied up overnight.

Fishing off dock was great, caught fish and crabs. Gas station in Eulonia sells bait and tackle, 2 miles away.

Darien is a nice town, close with restaurants and stores (grocery, dollar store, hardware). Local museum in old jail building very interesting, sweet shop in town was amazing (Sweet Marsh Cottage). Cool town to stroll around in and visit the little shops and talk to locals, all Georgia products in Turnip Greens was great place to buy gifts to take home.

Internet access and wifi was great. Our son was finishing an on-line class while we were there and there was no problem (no video or audio lag). All three of our teenagers could use it at once with no problems.

We had no problems with our dog. The property lot is long, so you can take a long walk across it with your dog. Our dog stays with us, but even if your dog ran the lot is fenced so your dog can’t run far or into the road.

Property has a locked gate at the road, so we felt very secure.

Jack was a wonderful host, checked in once at the beginning to give us extra blankets and make sure we got our boat in OK. He came and took the trash out mid-week. Gave us good recommendations about places to visit and avoid. He was very respectful of our privacy.

Peaceful and relaxing. Very enjoyable.

  • 5 of 5

Great views. Nice vacation home, well supplied. Great high-speed internet. Close to boat dock, and a nice dock to dock boat to for easy boating. Two nice fire pits and plenty of firewood. Nice outside seating to enjoy views. Large yard with lots of room to walk our dog. Comfortable beds. Washer and dryer was very convenient. Would definitely recommend and come again. It was a just what we wanted to relax and unwind.
