Stayed here for 5 nights, as it was the end of September the parking space wasn’t as much of a big win as it would have been if we had stayed there in June as the town was reasonably quiet. We were able to reverse our family car onto the drive no problem. There is a bollard/post on the drive to avoid others parking on it but we were never able to lock it and a neighbour told us that all the time it’s been in situ no one apart from the cleaner has been able to use it. Lounge is comfortable but there is no Smart TV which makes evening entertainment a bit dull if you are home early. Dining room is good. There is an outside space but it doesn’t look very appealing there is no garden, even in midsummer we would not use it as we’d be out so again no issue for us. Kitchen is good, a new bread knife wouldn’t go amiss! We don’t cook it’s eating out, takeaways or salads so we never used the cooker or the microwave only the toaster and the kettle. The toaster is great it’s the best one we’ve used in a cottage. I’d appreciate a blind on the kitchen window, bathroom and landing as you are surrounded by houses and would just make the house feel a little bit warmer, especially in winter. Bathroom is ok we are both tall so had to really duck low to get under the shower head, water was always hot. The towels were good quality but no bath sheets, we always bring one. Upstairs the main bedroom is clean and spacious but we found the mattress way to soft for us personally and the bed was creaky so we slept in the single beds in the back bedroom, we both found this quite amusing and were grateful for another option. House and street are quiet and very residential so no noise at night. Depending on the price next year we would book again and thank you for keeping the property so clean it’s really appreciated.
