West Ferlochan Cottage ofrece alojamiento de 4 * con cocina en Benderloch, Oban. Nuestra cabaña se encuentra en una zona tranquila a orillas del lago Creran. Somos el lugar ideal para explorar esta hermosa parte de Argyll.

El salón tiene capacidad para seis personas con chimenea y TV de 40 pulgadas con satélite. La cocina / comedor totalmente equipada tiene una gama de solicitantes, como un horno eléctrico y vitrocerámica, microondas, lavavajillas, nevera-congelador y altavoces para iPod / iPhone.

En la planta baja hay una pequeña habitación doble, baño con ducha y WC y un cuarto de servicio de buen tamaño equipado con lavadora y secadora.

En el primer piso hay dos dormitorios principales. Cada habitación tiene una cama de 6 pies que se puede convertir en gemelos si es necesario. El dormitorio principal tiene un televisor TDT montado en la pared. El baño del primer piso cuenta con bañera, ducha y WC.

La cabaña es parte de una granja de trabajo de 220 acres. Hay muchos paseos por la granja y hasta Sguir Mhor, que ofrece vistas espectaculares y panorámicas de Loch Creran a las montañas más allá. Los huéspedes tienen el uso exclusivo de dos pequeñas áreas de césped.

Abierto todo el año y bienvenidos.

Oban, que es la "Puerta de entrada a las islas escocesas", está a menos de 10 millas; Fort William, considerada la "capital al aire libre del Reino Unido", está a menos de una hora en coche.

A cosy cottage with highland cows at your doorstep and an introduction to them from Willie. Well located for Oban (20 minutes) and also Fort William (45 minutes). Picturesque loch across the road.

Really lovely traditional cottage in rural location, a short distance from the village and 20 mins from Oban. Very well equipped kitchen and the owners even provided some essentials (milk etc) for when we checked in!The communication with the owners in advance and during our stay was amazing, very helpful and quick to help. The cottage backs onto a farm and we frequently saw and spoke to the farmer who was incredibly nice as well!The cottage was spacious and for our setup had 2 double rooms and 1 twin room. This means we could fit 3 grown ups and 2 children comfortably. The twin room on the ground floor is more suited for kids than adults (given its size) in our opinion.Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Working fireplace for those chilly evenings.The kitchen was also a good size and comfortably fitted 5 of usReally nice views from the back of the cottage, with some table and chairs we could also use.It was great for our week long stay in this area

Wonderful cottage stay for my family. It was the perfect location, a very well equipped home, and so cozy! My 2 boys, aged 8 and 10, loved the cows and the hills to explore. The back patio was a great place to relax with such beautiful surroundings. We hope to return one day!

Sweet Cottage

We loved this comfortable cottage. The beds were comfy and firm. We walked up the back pasture, passed the sweet cows way up to the top of the hill for a beautiful view. My kids also got a tour of the farm from Willie. This was a nice treat. Thank you for sharing this home with us.

Charming cottage with coos!

The location was perfect, in a peaceful and relaxing setting. Loch Creran is right across the road and behind the cottage are gorgeous green farmlands, hikeable hills, and, of course, the adorable hairy coos. Inside the cottage, the hosts have done a great job of maintaining the farmhouse feel while still having modern amenities. The cottage was well appointed and had everything we needed…we appreciated the milk and shortbreads to welcome us.Amanda, the host, was very helpful and responsive. And of course, the stars of the whole show were the hairy coos and Galloway cattle. Amanda arranged for Willie to introduce us and talk about the farm and it was a highlight of our trip. After a day of touring, a quiet evening watching the sunset over the Loch and the cows doing their thing were so relaxing. Thank you so much for sharing this lovely cottage with us!

Wonderful base camp to explore the beauty of the area

The cottage was a wonderful and relaxing spot for our family as we explored the region. We are animal and nature lovers so were thrilled at the proximity to the lochs, the isles, Glencoe, the trail behind the cottage to walk up the hill and, of course, the spectacular cows at the farm. The kitchen is large and well stocked for cooking. The house was cozy and quiet. We hated to leave.

Cozy coastal farmhouse

We had a super cozy stay. There was lots to do nearby—castles, island tours, farm tour, walking up the mountain. The house had everything we needed, kitchen all kitted out, washer/dryer, tvs, comfortable beds. The host was very helpful.

Comfortable country cottage

Enjoyable quiet country setting. A farmhouse as a farmhouse should be. Convenient to Oban and the Isle of Mull which we found to be very well worth seeing. The farm property was beautiful and the farm manager provided a tour of the farm and a ride to the top of the mountain on the property. The views were gorgeous. We loved the cottage and the location and would definitely go back if we ever had a chance to return to that area of Scotland.

WHAT A FIND

From the moment we arrived we knew we had made a good choice. It was really clean, cosy, spacious. Amanda had thought of absolutely everything. We loved the situation, so very near to the loch, and very peaceful, only the cows calling when the farmer arrived to feed them. Very Highly recommended. Hope to return one day.

Wonderful Escape

The home is very clean and well furnished. We enjoyed the physical structure, but also the ideal location that is close to Oban and other areas that allowed us to relax most of the time. The farm setting was peaceful and refreshing from city life. The hosts were were very friendly and welcoming. I would enjoy staying at this property again in the future.

Beautiful place in the wilderness

This is one of the best accommodations we've ever been to. The house is located on a farm, you can see all the animals, you can walk around and explore the beautiful surroundings like the mountain stream up the hill and the beautiful Scottish cows. It's perfect for trips to Glencoe, Glenfinnan, Oban, famous Eilan Donnan Castle, Fort William, Fort Augustus (Loch Ness) and even Isle of Skye if you leave early. The house is very nice, very clean and there's everything you need in the kitchen and bathrooms. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed. We'll be back one day.

A Home Away From Home

Perfect in all ways & the location can not be beat. The home was amazing as was the farm. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. From a fully stocked kitchen to luxury items. The house was clean and very comfortable. It was awesome to meet Willie, Brad, the Highlanders & Galloways. The baby highlanders were a bonus. We loved the tour of the farm Willie took us on. Also the walk up to the top of the Hill was great with awesome 360 views. Amanda is a most welcome hostess. She is quick to respond and very helpful. We loved this farmhouse so much we will be coming back. Thank you Amanda, Willlie, Brad & the Coos.

A peaceful retreat

This cottage is in a quiet peaceful location that is close enough to Oban to be convenient, but far enough to be away from the hustle of the town center. Communication with Amanda was easy, and she even contacted us after checkin, to be sure everything was ok. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay near Oban.

Disappointed- bottom dollar more important than guests

Through out the night, the house vibrated and shook. All Night! Very loud! None of us were able to sleep. At around 2:00am I messaged the host, the noise and the shaking/vibrating had kept us up all night. Mostly in the second upstairs bedroom, it can be heard in the main bedroom. She messaged back at around 8:00, apologizing and that she would send someone over that works on her farm to see what was going on. They came over, bled the radiator said he wasn't sure if he had fixed it or if that was even the problem and he would call a plumber. At this point we hadn't slept, we felt sick and my daughter and myself had seemed to have hallucinations throughout the night. We decided that since the issue was not solved and we didn't sleep and we weren't feeling well, we would find another place to stay. We suggested carbon monoxide poising and even the idea that the house was haunted(this was first thing in the am when we were still ill and tired from the previous night). This was dismissed by the host with no resolution or theory as to what the problem could have been. The host did not offer to refund us for our stay, instead seemed offended that we tough it out. The last 4 days of our holiday was interrupted by this experience. This should never be the way anyones holiday ends. With no remorse, and no offer to refund for the remainder of our stay, the bottom dollar is obviously more important to the host than the well being of her guests. Also, black mold in bathroom, hard beds.

Best stay on our trip

Oh My Goodness! Such a beautiful spot and lovely accommodations. Amanda's extra touches with a well appointed kitchen made us so comfortable. The Hairy Cows are adorable and the recommended hike behing the property was fantastic. Amanda texted us to be aware of some terrible weather that was to arrive during our stay, she is a kind and caring host. We will pass our opinions of this stay on to any we know who may be journeying in this direction. Thank You Amanda!
