About this property
Lovely holiday home with private beach. Free wi-fi
Max. 6 adult + 2 kids.
96m2 Lovely holiday home situated on the peninsula of Agerø. Located in a peaceful and quiet location with private trail to a private beach. It was renovated and there are 2 rooms. 1st room has a double bed and the 2nd room has a double bed + 2 persons bunk bed. In addition, there is a double sofabed in the living room. Lovely kitchen and spacious bathroom. For anglers, it is an ideal place as there is an outdoor cleaning area. A child cot and high chair are available.
For bird lovers, this house is just for you, as Agerø is world-renowned for its large flocks of golden plovers and the light-bellied brent geese are particular attraction. At the same time, there is a good chance of seeing many different species of waders and ducks, and spoonbills. Agerø is best known for the rare light-bellied brent goose from November to May. This race of brent goose is one of the smallest goose populations in the world, numbering only around 7000 birds. The number of light-bellied brent goose in the Agerø area varies somewhat from one year to another. The former large flocks of up to 5000 birds have not been seen the last few years, but there is still a chance of seeing up to a few thousand at the end of May, just before they fly off north to their breeding grounds on Svalbard. A small number migrate even further to north-east Greenland.
From the end of July and well into autumn, waders and ducks arrive in varying numbers. Various species of geese can be seen, in particular greylag geese, which sometimes roost around Stenklipperne, with often as many as a few thousand birds in August/September. Various species of waders can be seen, with golden plover again being the most numerous.
In the fjord around the island there are often large flocks of goldeneye and red-breasted merganser in autumn and winter. With luck, one may be able to spot razorbills and guillemots.
On the meadows, especially north of the bay of Nees Vig, large flocks of barnacle goose and pink-footed goose are often seen. During the last few years, white-fronted goose has also appeared, sometimes in fair numbers. They stay here from October to May, depending on the weather conditions.
You are also close to Denmark's only union-driven car ferry "Næssie", which sails between Næssund and Sydthy. The trip takes 7 min. here you are now close to National Park Thy and the North Sea. Morsø Traktormuseum opened in 1980 and is Scandinavia's largest and oldest tractor museum with over 120 different working tractors. In Sindbjerg there is mountain bike trail in the plantation and nice hiking trails. Mountain bike trail and hiking trail can also be found in Legind Bjerge. It is in this area that you will find Jesperhus Holiday Park, with flower park, pirate land, 4D cinema, Hugoland, water park and much more.
Nykøbing is the largest city on Mors and here you will find the local history museum Dueholm Kloster and the Danish Støberimuseum, which exhibits the old Morsø wood furnace and stoves. It is also in Nykøbing that Morsø Golf Club with beautiful 18 hole golf course is located.
On the northern part of Mors lies Ejerslev harbor with lagoon. Café Lagunen is open during summer season. Fossil and Molermuseet tells about its 55 million years of history through the many findings that have been made in the mo-clay on the isle of Mors. And at the agricultural museum Skarregaard, the time has ceased in 1958. Here you will also find a large natural playground and hiking trail.
The isle of Mors and Agerø offers lots of experiences for days.
