Ioannis House Sea View, Perfect family holidays-Kefalonia

A comfortable, bright house, fully equipped for 7 persons.

Our house is located between the village of Vlachata and Lourdata in Kefalonia, less than 1 km from the famous beach of Lourdas, near the foothills of Mount Ainos.

There are traditional and luxury eating places, car hire, mini bank, supermarkets , a cocktail bar and a friendly british bar. This is all walkable, however if you want to go to the beach, it's about a km walk down the hill. During summertime there is a bus going to the beach and coming back a number of times a day.

Transportations
Unfortunately Kefalonia is not known for its good bus links as they are few and far between and run mainly for the locals. There are lots of taxis at the airport and there are companies who you can pre-book transfers with. We normally hire a car as this is the best way to travel around the island.

Instructions to come to John's House Sea View:
From town of Argostoli take the road towards to Poros. Go this way for about twenty minutes until you meet the Village Vlachata. In 'Aegean' Gas Station (in central of the village), you go down towards Lourdas Beach. When you see taverna 'Spiros' you turn left and about after 100 m. you find our house on your right hand side. (opposite of Erofili Villas).
Outside the house there is enough space to park.

Loved my stay

I came to Greece hoping for some peace and quiet, and that’s exactly what I got, and more! With a balcony overlooking the mountains and the sea, a big house, amazing kitchen, great rooms, the house was equipped with everything I needed. Costas was amazing and though he was not present on the island, he checked in with me on a regular basis, and helped with every little thing I needed. All in all my stay was amazing, and I would highly recommend!

Fantastic!

We loved everything about our holiday at Ioannis house in Kefalonia. The view from the balcony over the Ioanian sea was just lovely! Perfect for sitting with a glass of Kefalonian wine after a day exploring the Island which has lots of places to see. Costas has a very good knowledge of the best places to visit and all the good tavernas in the village. Thank you Costas for the fabulous BBQ and all the Greek food you brought us to try, it was just delicious! We stayed for two weeks and at the end of our stay we had become firm friends with Costas, and can't wait to return. Marilyn and Nigel (Yorkshire. UK)

A beautiful clean house set between the mountains and the sea.

Wow, where to start. I had messaged Costas in advance to get directions and entry instructions. His directions were spot on, and we arrived at 9pm to find Costas and his beautiful family waiting for us. Ioannis House is only about a 25 mile drive from Cephelonia Airport, but you wouldnt know it as there is no Aircraft noise at all. My health isn't too good, so I knew we would be having a few days of our stay not leaving the property. This was no problem, the view from the balcony is amazing, and I could sit out there looking over the sea listening to the Cicada forever. Costas and his family live in the ground floor of the building, so he is always on hand for travel tips, and he's a pretty good cook himself. There are several very good tavernas all within walking distance, and 2 supermarkets within 5 mins. The Nearest beach is Lourdas, about a mile away, but its a very steep and twisty road so I wouldn't recommend walking it (there is a local bus in season that goes there and back several times a day). Its a beautiful beach with plenty of tavernas serving it. Trapezaki beach is about 4 miles away and is a smaller but quieter beach. We had an amazing stay, plenty of exploring, swimming and relaxing. The Island of Cephalonia has a good road network (with plenty of petrol stations dotted around), with plenty of of beautiful towns and beaches to visit, but there is also some great mountain hiking to be done if thats your thing. Over all, we had the most perfect vacation in the most perfect settings. Thank you Costas and family :)

Spacious villa with a very friendly welcome

Ioannis House is a very well equipped and clean villa with local shops in walking distance. Costas was very helpful and he suggested many places to visit in Kefalonia. The nearest beach was not crowded but did involve a 20 minute walk from the villa along the road then down a steep, fairly muddy track. Thank you very much Costas - we had a wonderful time with lots of great memories. Olwen & Alistair

Ioannis House Sea View is a perfect place to spend a family vacation. Starting from a great view, an ideal location near beautiful beaches and many gourmet restaurants and of the end great hospitality of the host.
Excellent facilities nearby with several good tavernas, supermarket, car hire etc. Local beach was great and many others to choose from.

This property has a unique combination of mountain and sea view. The apartment offers an amazing panoramic view of the bay from the hill on which it is situated. It is very spacious, clean and the hosts very welcoming, attentive and gracious. The location is also amazing as you will be close to some of the best beaches of the island as well as a 15-minute car ride from beautiful Argostoli.
