Our art-filled gem is a newly renovated 2-bedroom, in-town apartment complete with a new luxury kitchen featuring Vermont marble counters. There are restored fir-wood floors, new carpeting and new paint everywhere, and brand new electrical-to-code wiring. We are air-conditioned and have toasty heating for winter. Complete with designer and heirloom furniture, antique and fine oriental rugs, nautical pieces, and original paintings by local artists; our second floor hideaway offers peace and quiet, privacy, and off-street parking with views to local shops and restaurants. New landscaping, a garden sitting wall, and Asian garden art line the stone pathway to the entrance to our little haven. Privacy fencing aesthetically separates our home from the nice new house next door.

About Nancy and Steve Burzon
Nancy and Steve have lived in Vermont since 2000 when they left the New York area and chose a more rural lifestyle. Since then they have both established businesses in the area. They enjoy finding VRBO properties when they travel and have created this apartment with that in mind. This is their 3rd and newest VRBO apartment--the others have been sold.
Nancy and Steve Burzon purchased this Apartment in 2011
Why Nancy and Steve Burzon chose Manchester Center
Location is everything and this is in a residential area with private, off street parking. There is an area for outdoor enjoyment as well as a fresh and newly renovated interior. Dogs are welcome too. (Not to discriminate against cats, but there are some allergies to consider.)
What makes this Apartment unique
Guests can walk to unique Manchester eateries like the famous Al Ducci’s Italian Deli, the creative Turkish restaurant & antique shop called ‘Depot 62’, or the award winning Zoey’s Sandwich Shop. Or you can hit the familiar franchise scene with Starbucks and Subway located in the shopping center almost visible just down the street. We are close to well-known outlet shopping and once you park in our driveway, you can walk to almost anything you desire. On the practical side there is a Vermont liquor outlet and a Price Chopper right in the neighborhood.

Cozy & comfortable
We enjoyed our stay in Manchester, VT.
It was a last minute, spontaneous trip and I am glad they had a great time!
Central, Beautiful and Perfectly Comfortable
My son (age 10), father and I stayed here for four nights in June. The apartment was perfect for us, and we were very comfortable. The beds were great, the art was beautiful, and the living/dining area was relaxing and accommodating. The location is walking distance to Price Chopper, the grocery store, as well as most of the Manchester stores and restaurants. (My son and I ate at Cilantro twice and loved it.)
The owners have put a lot of thought into preparing the apartment for guests -- there is Crabtree & Evelyn shampoo, conditioner and lotion in the bathroom along with plenty of towels, cold packs in the freezer in case you need them, plenty of dish soap & dishwasher tabs, etc. I am always happy to use a French Press, and didn't miss the fact there wasn't a microwave. (There was a dishwasher, which is even better!)
The only thing that isn't perfect is the shower, which is very small. But that is a small price to pay for what is otherwise a perfect spot.
Not exactly what I expected
I came to the property on a fall foliage trip with my mother. I was very excited for us to have our own space. I felt however that the description given wasn't appropriately detailed.
1. Great Location- easy walk to many restaurants and all of the shops.
2 . Very clean and well decorated.
3. Beds are comfortable with good linens.
4. Good Shower Pressure
5. Easy drive to surrounding areas to visit
1. There is no central heat or central A/C. There are 2 window units for A/C when they are necessary. However, when we arrived it was 78 degrees outside and the unit was very hot and muggy. There were no A/C units there. We were informed they had been removed due to cooler weather earlier. We had to leave the windows open with fans running to cool it down by midnight. Then the temperatures dropped over the next 24 hours and we woke to a freezing cold unit. We had no control over the heat. We were at the mercy of the downstairs tenants to control the heat. They must like it on the cold side. We were uncomfortable most of the time.
2. The shower is very very small. Maybe 3 feet by 3 feet max.
3. The kitchen is very nice but is missing a microwave and normal coffee maker. There is a French press which we had no idea how to use. It would have been nice to have a normal coffee pot or keurig option
4. The walls are thin so you can hear every move of the downstairs tenants. Each night we heard the adult tenant arrive home between 930 and 10 with a lot of noise until 11 pm. And every morning we heard them up at 630 am banging around the house and loudly talking to one another until the young lady left for school at 730-ish. And more than once we had to endure an hour of the two tenants screaming at one another and sobbing as they fought. Not a great situation.
5. Not enough towels/wash clothes- only 3 wash clothes and 5 towels given for 2 adults for 3 days.
6. The pillows were old and musty and smelled bad. Very flat and in need of replacement.
Overall the idea of this place is great. It's beautiful in pictures. Great location. However the lack of control over the temperature and the loud neighbors would make me hesitant to recommend this place unless those who came were aware of this and okay with it.
Regarding the AC, this guest arrived on the day of Hurricane Nate's impact in Vermont and the day was much warmer and more humid than normal in October. That quickly changed. The heat is adjustable with controls on the radiators. I suspect a prior guest had turned them down. We have never had complaints about heat.
We do update, renew and replace linens. Certainly we will pay special attention to that comment. Cleanliness and bedroom comfort have been a strong point on prior reviews.
The apartment does not have a microwave or electric coffee maker. It is a lovely, but small kitchen and I did not want to sacrifice counter space for appliances. I have never met anyone who did not know how to use a French Press for coffee, and there is a thermos for use in keeping it hot after it is made. There is also a Starbucks just half a block from the apartment.
Five towels for two adults for three days--that is normally plenty.
The foregoing was written by my wife. Here are my comments:
As for me, I had direct interaction with this guest. And I believe that she is not a desirable guest. From the very first call from her to complain I learned that she is not reasonable or easy to please.
She complained that it was too hot and muggy in the apartment. We had taken out the window AC's a week or so earlier as it was very cold outside. Then we had this unusual heat as a result of a tropical storm reaching Vermont. I offered to come down to re-install the AC's in the windows and she told me she wanted her money back, wanted to go elsewhere, and that she could NEVER sleep in a room with a window AC. She told me that we misrepresented by not specifically stating that the AC in the offering was provided by window units....and not central AC.
Earlier my wife told her that we did have window units but she chose not to remember this.
She also complained about the fact that we had a French Press in the apartment for coffee. She was told this by my wife earlier. Her complaint said she did not know how to use one. That is silly as all she needed to do was to Google instructions.
I believe that she did not want to be happy with the reservation for other personal reasons and that she either chose to take it out on us; or she is just too hard to please.
I would NEVER recommend to anyone to rent to her. We have so many renters who love our service and our apartment. She is a nit picker. And not willing to be helped.
Quaint and exceptional
This was a great upstairs apartment. Very cozy & warm and convenient to activities throughout the area. Highly recommend this property.
I stayed at this apartment with my husband and parents for a wedding we attended at the Equinox and it was perfect! Comfortably fit the 4 of us. Located close to the Equinox and so many shops and restaurants. The owners were amazing and helpful throughout our whole booking and check in process. Very clean and comfortable place. I'd recommend staying here if you are in the area!
great summer wedding weekend
The apt was perfect for two couples to stay at for a weekend of wedding activities at The Equinox. We had everything we needed and were comfortable sleeping. It is an easy walk into town. There is indeed some lovely music provided in the afternoon by the talented downstairs tenant- what a treat!
Thank you! I am so glad you enjoyed your stay there. Yes, our resident musician is a freshman at Burr & Burton Academy. I love the cello too!
