Villa dei Limoni is a three floors charming villa, surrounded by greenery and blooming flowers, located just above the beautiful seaside village of Camogli (5 min by car) and very close to Portofino's Natural Park.
The most attractive places of the Riviera are very close: Camogli is only 5 minutes by car - or 15/20 on foot (downhill, uphill to come back) - as well as San Rocco. Santa Margherita and Rapallo 15 minutes, Portofino 20 minutes and Genova 30/40 minutes.
Portofino, San Fruttuoso and Santa Margherita can be reached also on foot by one of the panoramic paths of Mount Portofino's Natural Regional Park, known worldwide as a paradise for hikers: this protected coastal area is the most northern in the western Mediterranean Sea, and it offers an extraordinary combination of rural and maritime cultures, one of the greatest varieties of plant species in the Mediterranean area, an array of wildlife and important architectural remnants, that can be viewed hiking along its many panoramic paths.
Some of the most beautiful Portofino's park intineraries (a network of over 80 km of trails encourages walks of different lenghts and difficulty ) start near Villa dei Limoni.
The breathtaking view on the sea, the spacious garden of wide “fasce” (the typical ligurian terraces with beautiful dry-stone walls which have variable difference in level) surrounded by fruit trees and flowering plants, the brand new (spring 2021) swimming pool leading to the sea, the outdoor dining area with barbecue and brick oven, the bright and elegantly furnished bedrooms with A/C overlooking the beautiful Golfo Paradiso, the fully equipped kitchen and the two spacious private garages at guests' disposal make it an ideal accommodation to enjoy a relaxing holiday in the heart wonderful Ligurian Riviera.
Reachable only on foot via a short walk of about 70 meters from the nearest driveway (where you can stop briefly to unload the suitcases) and less than 5 minutes from the two car garage available to guests.

Exclusively together with the main villa it is also possible to rent, with an additional fee, the neighboring pool cottage for up to 4 people, completely renovated in 2024.
It has: double bedroom with small ensuite bathroom, living room with double sofa bed and second bathroom, kitchen.
The cottage enjoys a beautiful view of the swimming pool and the gulf and is equipped with air conditioning.
The weekly rental fee for the pool cottage varies from € 750.00 to € 1,490.00 (+ €100.00 cleaning fee).



On arrival guests have to pay the TAX of € 2.50 / night / person over 14, due up to the tenth night of stay.
Since Villa dei Limoni is a house for rent and not a b&b, in compliance with the Italian law on tourist rentals, services such as extra cleaning, linen change cannot be performed during the stay (a set of linen is provided including sheets and towels bath per person per week), nor can consumables such as food or other goods be provided which guests are responsible for purchasing.

Everything for a perfect vacation!

We traveled in a group of 11 young people and every single one of us loved the vacation at Villa dei Limone! The communication with Vera, Salavatore and Fiammetta was really easy and they helped us with everything we needed! The Villa had everything we needed and is indeed as beautiful as in the pictures! The pool was just perfect to cool off in the Italian summer heat. It was also much needed because the sea is a little hard to reach by foot. If you are looking for a quiet and privat vacation in Italy, this is a definite recommendation! The area is not very touristy so you can perfectly feel the beautiful Italian way of living

Lovely stay at Villa Dei Limoni

We had a very pleasant stay at Villa dei Limoni. The grounds of the property were beautiful and well maintained. The pool was especially enjoyable--clean, comfortable temperature, great view. There were also several nice areas for outdoor dining and lounging. As a large party (6 adults, 3 children), we appreciated the layout of the sleeping areas and the ample bedrooms and bathrooms--no one felt like they got the short straw on their room. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean. There are countryside noises at night (roosters, dogs, insects), but the windows are well soundproofed if you want to close them. The plumbing and electricity are pretty rustic, but this seems common for these old, rural villas. The town of Camogli is very charming to visit. The walk down to town is quite do-able and scenic (if you take the footpath, not the main road), but the return trip is definitely a workout. The property manager, Fiammetta, was wonderful--helpful and quick to respond to messages. She recommended a fantastic caterer that helped us to create a very special evening celebrating my parents' anniversary. Overall, we had a very nice experience at this beautiful villa!

A beautiful family holiday getaway

We, a group of old time friends with children, spent a week at Villa dei Limoni and it has been a wonderful holiday. We had the chance to visit the neighborhood, which means the famous Italian Riviera: Portofino and Santa Margherita were only 15 minutes away, the charming fisherman village of Camogli is around the corner - you can easily get there by car in less then five minutes or on foot with a nice 15 minutes walk. Cinque Terre were easy to reach as well, so it is an ideal starting point. The weather was hot enough to chill all day long in the beautiful eden garden under the trees of lemon, cherries, apricot, facing the stunning Golfo Paradiso or to relax on the beach of Camogli. In the late afternoon we enjoyed cooking and had many bbqs. The house itself is very beautiful and charming, immaculately clean, and everybody has his own space to be alone but there are also comfortable communal places such as the sitting room and the outside dining area leading to the sea where we all spent time together. The two private garages at our disposal were a big plus when we needed to use the cars without having the stress to find a parking. The owners were super kind and available to our needs, and the house keepers as well. We will be back for sure to Villa dei Limoni and we can fully recommend it to everybody! 03/23/2019 at 10:05 AM

Limoni

Klimaanlage wäre bei diesem Objekt sehr wichtig. Wir haben alle sehr schlecht geschlafen wegen der Hitze. Kleidrrschränke und Schubladen sollte man regelmässiger reinigen. Schönes Anwesen mit herrlichen Zitronen und gutes Leitungswasser das man bedenkenlos trinken kann.

impressions of a holyday and our residence

We, 12 adults from Austria, have been to Villa dei Limoni in the first week of September and really enjoyed our stay. Before and during our vacation the communication with Fiammeta was nice and helpful, also the check-in and check-out were uncomplicated. Villa dei Limoni is a wonderful location to spend a great time, regardless whether you want to chill or you want to go for exciting trips in Camogli and surroundings. The house is big and well-equiped with dishes, which both is particularely important for larger travelgroups as we are. Also Villa dei Limoni is lovely furnished and the rooms are very clean. Especially we liked the big garden with its beautiful trees and the stone oven, where we made pizza. Alltogether we had a fantastic vacation at the Villa and we would highly recommend it to everyone.

Familientreffen in der Villa dei Limoni

Villa dei Limoni war optimal geeignet für unser Familientreffen mit 7 Erwachsenen und 7 Kindern. Das Haus liegt am Hang oberhalb Camogli mit fantastischem Blick auf den Golf. Das Haus hat sehr viel Charm, ist gut ausgestattet und schön möbliert mit alten Möbeln und liebevoll ausgesuchten Bildern. Der terrassierte Garten mit vielen Obstbäumen und Blumen ist riesig, besitzt einen großen Sitzplatz mit Steintisch für die ganze Familie. Besonders geschätzt haben wir den Grillplatz gleich daneben.

Geräumiges Haus mit grossem Garten

Wir wurden vom Housekeeper-Paar sehr freundlich empfangen. Das ganze geräumige Haus und der grosse Garten mit zum Teil reifen Früchten standen uns zur Verfügung. Aufgrund des ausnahmsweise sehr kühlen Wetters war es im Erdgeschoss ziemlich kalt. Der Housekeeper sorgte aber sofort für Abhilfe. Die Ruhe rund ums Haus und die schöne Aussicht verschafften uns Erholung. Wir genossen die Zeit und kommen gerne wieder.

Mooi huis, geweldig uitzicht, prachtige omgeving!

We hebben een week ontzettend genoten! We waren met 2 gezinnen met kleine kinderen op vakantie, ideaal in dit huis aangezien er 2 woonlagen zijn met slaapkamers en badkamers. Je hebt een prachtig uitzicht en de bedden liggen prima. De omgeving is prachtig, Camogli, Portofino, Raballo (neem de lift voor een mooi uitzicht) zijn leuke plaatsen op een steenworp afstand. Genua is ook leuk voor een dag! Zowel het huis als de streek ademt authentiek Italië. Nadelen: parkeerplekken vinden in de omgeving is lastig.. gelukkig bij het huis wel parkeerboxen, wel een korte steile wandeling naar het huis (inclusief trappen). De tuin is niet geschikt voor de allerkleinsten vanwege de hoogteverschillen en het gevaar er dan af te vallen. Echter stonden de nadelen in schril contrast met alle genoemde voordelen! Al met al een aanrader!

I cannot recommend more this stay for people who want to relax and enjoy the beautiful Liguria. The host is incredibly kind, available, clear in the communication, always happy to help and give suggestions. The position of the villa is perfect: 5 mins by walk from the centre of Camogli, surrounded by peace and a very relaxing atmosphere, ideal to take a break and rigenerate. The garden is big, flowery and just beautiful. Everything is tidy, clean, you can enjoy the italian style and attention to details. In the house you can find anything you will need for your stay, it is very well equipped and furnished with great taste. The colours, the perfumes, the magic environment, the view of the sea from every room...What else? I strongly recommend this place and we hopefully will come back very soon! Thanks for this dream stay!

Wonderful holiday in Camogli

We've been at Villa dei Limoni for a family holiday and everything was great. Communication with the owners was quick, complete and always very kind. The house is perfectly located in the best part of italian Riviera and has a big garden facing the sea with beautiful flowers and fruit trees. We enjoyed so much the outside dining area where we (12 people) had lunch and dinner together, but everybody had is own private space inside and outside. The house is recently renovated with good taste (the kitchen is modern, beautiful and functional) and has everything we needed to spend a happy holiday. All the bedrooms have a stunning view over the blue sea and we already miss to wake up there in the morning, open the window and admire such a stunning panorama! The charming village of Camogli is at walking distance and most of the local attraction such as Portofino and Santa Margherita are nearby. Having two private parkings for us was a great point. We couldn't ask for more and we fully recommend Villa dei Limoni!

Elisabetta is Villa dei Limoni's owner. Former lawyer, she works today at the Public Prosecutor Office in Genoa. She is married and has two sons and a beloved cat named Leo. Tennis and fashion enthusiast, she loves art and travelling.

Why they chose this property

The house was an ancient oil mill and was bought and renovated by Elisabetta's grandparents in the 40s.
For work and family reasons Elisabetta spends her holidays elsewhere and she can no longer enjoy this family home as she would like: she is therefore pleased that it is full of life and can continue to spread its peace.

What makes this property unique

The peace, the scents and the colors of the garden, full of comfortable corners in which to rest among the flowers and citrus and where to be awakened by the chirping of birds, at the same time a few kilometers from a city rich in art treasures and museums.
The embrace of the thick stone walls, the breadth and the intelligent division of space, which includes areas of sharing but also the possibility of privacy and silence for everyone, have allowed unforgettable stays both for families and for friends.
Everyone immediately found its ideal location: the intellectuals conquered the so-called corners of tranquility in the garden, the aspiring chefs were focused on planning lunches and dinners that invariably revolved around the barbecue and the wood oven, pride of his grandfather who handed down the secret recipes of the great-grandmother for the best farinata.
The mundane slept until late, protected from the shutters on the windows and the silence guaranteed by the old walls and faced only late in the afternoon, ready for a new evening in the premises of Santa Margherita, Rapallo and Portofino.
Unmissable meeting with the brave of the sea and the bicycle that just at that time came home "tired but happy" with crossings of reproaches and mutual commiseration.
The girls spent an exaggeration of time tanning the tan, but there was no market that escaped the ferocious planning of shopping enthusiasts.
In all this, occasionally the man of home deliveries appeared (a precious habit still guaranteed by some of Camogli's kind merchants).
Even today, despite the careful renovation that ensures all the comfort that deserve the precious days of the holiday, the house has deliberately preserved its ancient nature that makes it a magical place to live a holiday out of time.
