Stunning Ocean View! This beautiful 7 bedroom, 6 bath home with a private pool and an outdoor shower. Unobstructed ocean view of the Kona Coast line. Spectacular stargazing from your own private deck.

At the hale...LIVE OUTSIDE! At night the outdoor lanai area around the pool /spa is wonderful spot to kick back and relax, have a drink and/or dinner, and/or watch the kids play in the pool.

The house has 5 master suites with 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. All the rooms have AC.

Bedroom #1 - a queen bed with a private bathroom (access to the pool)

Bedroom #2 - two twin beds

Bedroom #3 - a queen bed

Bedroom #4 - a king bed + a sofa bed with a private bathroom (access to the pool with ocean view)

Bedroom #5 - a king bed with a private bathroom

Bedroom #6 - 2 sets of twin beds (full at the bottom and twin at the top) with a private bathroom.

The home is conveniently located close to many amenities which include a plethora of dining options (including the famous Sam Choy), a movie theater and shopping center, all within a five minute drive. Numerous resort amenities are available just to the South. The Keauhou Bay area offers great ocean access, scuba diving, and sailing, catamaran, fishing charters, sea kayaking and outrigger canoeing.

Just a few miles down the shoreline you will find Kahalu’u Beach State Park, famous for its encounters with the graceful green Hawaiian Sea Turtles.

Magic Sands Beach and Kahalu'u Beach Park are BOTH within 1 miles...These two beaches are our absolute favorites on Ali'i Drive and the most popular. This is the best location to the beaches and to enjoy access to the best shopping and restaurants on Kona to Downtown Kailua. Keauahou with the famed manta ray night dives is also about 5 minutes. Right in the middle of everything.

If you are seeking local markets and historical context, downtown Kailua-Kona is approximately a 10 minute drive for easy access to shopping, businesses, waterfront restaurants and hotels. Watch the people and the cruise ships come and go from the Kailua Pier. Visit the famous Farmer's Market. Enjoy a shave ice or a cup of Kona coffee, have a light snack or a gourmet meal, buy an inexpensive souvenir or a piece of fine art, book an activity, go for a swim or hang out on the many beautiful beaches.

Up the coast is a busy marina with Hawaii's best scuba diving, big-game fishing, kayaking, dolphin and whale watching and other ocean activities. Ali'i Makai is conveniently located, a great home base to explore the many wonders of the Big Island including Volcano National Park, Mauna Kea Observatory, coffee and macadamia nut farms, artist communities, and more!

This house is close to a highway, but there is a 20 ft high stone embankment that blocks all the sounds from the road. You can read the many positive reviews about this house to see our prior guests praising the quiet and relaxing environment.

About Emmy and Bob

Aloha and Welcome to Kona Vacation Rentals. This is Emmy and Bob. We are the owners of these lovely vacation rentals in Kona. We lived in Silicon Valley California for over 25 years and worked as software engineers and entrepreneurs. We built several successful start up companies and pursued our entrepreneur dreams there. We loved living in the California Bay Area and still consider it our "Home on the Mainland".

Emmy's lifelong dream has always been to live by the ocean. When we first truly memorable experience in Hawaii was the family vacation on the cruise ship that visited each of the Hawaiian islands. We fall in love with Kona, Big Island the best. There is so much to do here, with crystal clear water for snorkeling, rainforests, waterfalls, and volcanoes to explore, and mountains that almost reach the stars.

We bought our first dream house in 2013, and three years later, just after our daughter graduated from high school in California in 2016. Then we moved to Kona. Besides high tech, one of Emmy’s lifelong interests has been real estate. Every destination Emmy visit, she love exploring the properties in the area. Combining our love for Hawaii and homes, now we own and manage 8 beautiful vacation rental houses.

We have put much effort into every house to make them as comfortable and welcoming as your home. We use the latest technologies on the rental houses, with smart lock, amazon Alexa, comprehension customized online welcome book for each guest and much more.

We are responsible and responsive to your inquiries. We live close to all of our rental houses, we are always available for our guests. We do our best to provide the best services to our guests.

From volcanoes to waterfalls, my family's favorite part of Kailua-Kona is the snorkeling that gives you a peek into the vast and amazing ocean life. Kona, the town itself also has a great, laid-back vibe and easy access to beaches, stores, farmer's market, and restaurants.

What makes this house unique

Our home overlooks the town of Kailua-Kona and the beautiful ocean bay. The private pool area is a great lofty space to lounge at and enjoy the sunset or starlit views. The two most popular beaches in Kona are both only within 1 mile of the house! 2 minutes away (driving) is Ali'i Drive: hub for downtown Kona restaurants, coffee shops, farmer's market, and souvenir shops. We are delighted to share our home with you and we hope you make yourself at home. Enjoy your stay!

This home was absolutely lovely. There were so many nice touches and amenities. My family of 11 had so much fun in the home with the pool, BBQ pit, multiple areas to relax and enjoy the outside air, and plenty of space. One of the best vacation rentals I have stayed at so far. We will be coming back next year and staying in this home!

Emmy and Bob are the absolute best hosts a family could ask for. Their communication, organization and cleanliness of the home made our stay extremely enjoyable. The home is perfectly located between shopping centers, tourist attractions and beaches. The home is set up perfectly for a large family. We had plenty of space to spread out but also beautiful common areas to enjoy family meals and lots of fun. I would HIGHLY recommend this home and any of Emmy and Bob's properties to anyone coming to the Big Island. Thank you so much Emmy and Bob for making our family vacation an unforgettable and extremely enjoyable experience.

Kona hilltop oasis!

We recently stayed at Alli Heights for 5 days. It was not long enough! We were traveling with 13 family members and this property was perfect. There was plenty of room for each family group to have their own private space. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to prepare and serve a meal for a large group. The kids especially enjoyed the pool. It was the perfect temperature. The spa seemed a tad too hot but that could just be me. The beds were all very comfortable and the living space well cooled. We didn't get to enjoy the ocean view from the patio due to the vog while we were there. I'm sure it is gorgeous when it is clear! Emmi was very helpful and easy to work with. The clothes dryer was not working and she had a new one delivered the next day! That was so kind of her considering all the laundry necessary for 13 people. I would definitely recommend this property and hope to come again in the future!

Fantastic getaway!

The house was wonderful! The place is well stocked and there are abundant pool toys and beach towels available. The kids adored the pool. Also the bathrooms have soap, shampoo and body wash available. It is less than 2 miles from magic sands beach (convenient parking across the street). If you are not sure what adventure you are up for there is a handy book on the kitchen counter with great suggestions.

The house is broken into separate structures connected by a breezeway. My extended family of 13 had room to spare and the separate structures gave us room to breath. It was ideal for the many small family units present on our trip. A door hinge was broken when we arrived. I alerted Emmy and Bob and they quickly arranged for it to be fixed. Brian their maintenance man was very kind. He quickly fixed the hinge and a few other minor issues we noticed. House keeping staff are sweet also.

Be prepared to wash towels and sheets before you leave. Coordinate it just right and it will be fine. Overall great stay, great home!

Well equipped house for large family group

Our multi-generational group of 8 adults and 10 children recently stayed at this house that is well-equipped for handling such large groups. The location is on a steep hill in a quiet residential neighbourhood and although it is close to a main road, it is situated well below the road and the noise doesn't carry. There is no access to the main road from the street either. The large pool and the hot tub were big hits with young and old. The house was one of the best equipped that we have stayed in in terms of kitchen equipment. The only suggestion would be to get some more plastic tumblers since glass is not allowed on the pool deck. We bought some disposable ones. The layout of the house is a bit different given that all but a few of the rooms are in a separate building on the other side of the garage and then there is a large pool house with very nice ensuite. However, everyone had a bed without using any couches. There is a children's room with two sets of bunkbeds with doubles on bottom and singles on top. This was great for six of the more independent cousins. A well-stocked chest of pools toys and some snorkels and masks was beside the pool. The house was clean and tidy when we arrived. We did have a few maintenance issues, but they were all taken care of quickly by the owners. I would recommend this location and house for large groups such as ours.

Best vacation!!

My family of 14 people stayed in this house for a week, and we loved it. The house has plenty of room, with big bedrooms, and a spacious central living room. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. The pool is huge, and is surrounded by a large patio. The view of the Kona coastline from the patio is fantastic, especially the sunsets. We found a large supply of pool and beach toys in the garage, and the kids had a great time with them. Overall, this house was perfect for our family, and we enjoyed staying there.

Amazing house! It exceeded our expectations

y family had a fantastic stay and this home so perfectly matched the description! The view was phenomenal, the pool, the Spa. The home was exquisite and it very easily accommodated my family of 14 adults!! We used the kitchen often for some wonderful home cooked meals and the house had all the amenities desired; spices, leftover pancake mix, 12 cup coffee maker, giant fridge and serving dishes. The pictures did not do the home justice. Perfect stay for our Kona vacation. Great communication from Emmy and Bob and perfect instructions left. Thank you again for sharing your home with us!
