Wonderful condos on a beautiful harbor
My wife and I stayed at Harbor Square for the last 3 weeks in July in unit 3. The condo had updated appliances, 2 bedrooms and 2 and a half baths. The master BR overlooked Camden harbor with its jaw-dropping views of Camden, a picturesque harbor in mid-coast Maine. We watched the activity in the harbor from our porch which fronted the harbor. There is always something going on with all the boats of every size and description entering and leaving the harbor. It never grew old. The condos are a short walk to the village which has some very nice shops and great restaurants. There's many things to do in Camden, as we went on two sailboats, the Old and Owl, went on a kayak tour of the harbor, listened to a jazz concert in the amphitheater, and a Shakespeare play also in the amphitheater. The condos are managed by Suzanne Lufkin-Weiss, and she is a jewel to deal with. Suzanne is very friendly and helpful and always had time for us. Suzanne stays on top of things, and is a superb manager. We enjoyed getting to know Suzanne and inter-acting with her. Next year, we are renting #4, and had a brief tour prior to the new tenants moving in. It is very similar to #3, except the appliances, notably the microwave and stove which are quite old and are in dire need of updating. I hope that the appliances will be updated prior to our arrival in July 2018.Normally, I would not mention appliances, but these are so out of date, I felt compelled to mention them.We use the microwave almost exclusively and its important to us.Oh...forgot to mention that our condo had a 3rd story loft with a bed in it. It is reached by a spiral staircase, sort of like being on a boat. Kids love it. We are looking forward to our visit next July.
Our guests always comment on the beautiful views, the easy in-town walking of downtown Camden filled with shops, library, parks. They also tell us that we are very friendly and that the Town Houses are comfortably appointed, have great artwork by Maine artists, and that the kitchen and dining cupboards are well stocked with everything they need. And, if it isn't there, we will find it for you! There are so many things to do in Camden and in the area. Route One is the easiest way to visit all of MidCoast Maine, too. Don't miss a visit to Port Clyde, take the boat to Monhegan Island, Visit the world renowned Farnsworth Art Museum and its Wyeth Center, sail out of Camden Harbor, hike, bike... Camden and all of Mid Coast Maine provide something for everyone...
